There are numerous opportunities to enjoy nature on well-marked circular and hiking trails. A marked hiking trail leads directly past the house to the Kindelsberg (with a restaurant and lookout tower).
The district of Müsen has a large natural outdoor swimming pool and the "Stahlberger Erbstollen" visitor mine:
Both can be reached in about 20 minutes by car:
- The recreational area "Ginsberger Heide/Giller" with the Ginsburg, the Rothaarsteig and opportunities for ski touring and cross-country skiing .
- The city of Siegen with its historic city centre, numerous museums and modern shopping centre.
- The Biggesee near Olpe with excursion boat trip and Atta cave.
