Beautiful, spacious cottage for 6 people. The shower could do with updating.

When we arrived at the house was not cleaned. The toilets were filthy, the dishwasher hadn't been cleared out, the sink was dirty with toothpaste, the horror of the property was up to our hips. We had booked the holiday home for 2 nights and it was our annual vacation for this year. We paid 500 euros for it. When we called (the landlord was in Holland, mind you) we were told that the caretaker required dialysis, that we could clean the house ourselves for 250 euros or leave and we would get the money back. Our journey was over 4 hours, with children. Without words. After a lot of back and forth, the house should then be poorly cleaned so that we could at least stay overnight and the next day it should be cleaned thoroughly. And that during corona times. At 9 p.m. we were able to move into it - it should supposedly be completely cleaned. But it wasn't. We apologized with a bottle of wine the next day, but unfortunately that doesn't save our vacation anymore. The exterior maintenance was also disastrous. It seemed as if the lawn had not been mowed for weeks. Unfortunately we have never had such a bad stay our vacation was there - never again.
