We were there for 7 days and it was cozy and an oasis of peace in nature. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess who provided us with information on what to do in the area; most attractions are about a 30-minute drive by car, and for those who enjoy hiking, there were hiking routes.

We stayed here for the second time. Very pleasant stay in a quiet area in the middle of nature. A warm welcome by the friendly owners Gertrud and Bernd. Beautiful walking area. Well located to explore the Moselle Valley. The A48 motorway is close by. However, this rarely causes noise pollution. It depends a bit on the wind direction. The advantage is that you can reach Koblenz in half an hour via that highway.

We have rented 2 houses at the residence of the Kaifenheimer Muhle, because we wanted to stay there for 2 weeks and that during the booking it was no longer possible to stay separately in 1 of the houses in the period from 2 to 16 September. apartment was from September 7 to 16. A lovely house with all the trimmings. Living room, bedroom, very spacious kitchen and bathroom. There is a lot of information available about what the area has to offer. The apartment has its own spacious terrace where it is very pleasant to sit and with a beautiful view over a meadow surrounded by forest. We have often sat there and enjoyed the wonderful weather. The peace and quiet on the grounds of the Mill is soothing. In a valley with lots of greenery. We have seen a few hares and a deer. Gertrud and Bernd are a nice, friendly hostess and host. You can contact them with any questions. It is also possible to take a tour of the old mill. We liked that very much. Almost every evening we took a walk in the vicinity of the mill. There are fields and wooded areas where it is pleasant to walk. There is much to see in the vicinity of the complex. We did some really nice Traumpfade walks, using the Traumpfade app which works very nicely. The Moselle is nearby with several nice towns such as Treis-Karden and Cochem. We found small towns such as Klotten and Beilstein even more beautiful and atmospheric. Burg Eltz is beautifully situated and worth a visit. Mayen is also a nice city. We definitely want to go back to the studio or one of the other 2 apartments at the Kaifenheimer Muhle. Had a wonderful holiday!!

In a word fantastic, never experienced such nice and welcoming owners and we have already seen a lot. The cottage is beautiful and surrounded by forest, a bit like Efteling. You come here to rest and can actually do anything like hiking, mountain biking or just for a nice place nearby. Keep up to Pyrmont`s muhle.We go back next year, for sure.

We stayed in appt for 1 week. Kaifenheimer Mühle 3 in the warm month of June and were very warmly welcomed by owner Gertrud and her husband Bernd. The app. is spacious and comfortable for 2 people. We cooked every day ourselves in the practically equipped kitchen. The mattresses in the bedroom have recently been renewed. We slept well. There are shutters on all windows of the house. We kept it closed during the day to keep the rooms cool. That made a nice difference during the heat wave in June. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the domain. You can hear birdsong from morning until sunset. Wonderful. We have spotted deer and hares from our terrace. Kaifenheimer Mühle is located in an idyllic stream valley. It is the starting point for various hiking trails. Experienced hikers can even walk to Burg from here By car you are directly at Burg Eltz (a must!).The imposing abbey of Maria Laach is also definitely worth a visit.You can enjoy a nice walk around the volcanic lake.

The area is popular for hiking and you do not feel it is a great atmosphere in the beautiful grounds of the mill. Shopping can be done well in Kaisersechs. Also find delicious, at a reasonable price, eat at the Alt Esch restaurant. It is a place that is very worthwhile.

Our holiday was absolutely fantastic. We arrived at the scene and it was like a fairytale. Beautiful nature, a very cosy home and very gentle and loving caretakers. We immediately felt at home. The surrounding countryside ensures that you have a very peaceful and quiet holiday. Great for taking walks or just relaxing at home but you're also very close to the highway (less than 5 minutes) so you can go on daytrips very easily. We are definitely going back there sometime!

After leaving the highway you pass through the village of Kaifenheim and via a narrow country road you descend to the green valley of the Brohlbach where you will be surprised by the beautiful old buildings of the old water mill Kaifenheimermühle. A green oasis of peace in an otherwise somewhat barren agricultural landscape with many windmills. The buildings next to the stream exude an atmosphere of antiquity and tranquility. The welcome by Gertrud and Bernd was very warm and hospitable. There is plenty of parking space and we could store the bikes in a garage. Our apartment was very spacious and equipped with everything you need. Cooking goes well in the spacious kitchen and we slept wonderfully in the large bed. Outside you can sit on the terrace or in the meadow. It is a very beautiful place, a wonderful apartment

We had a great week in the cottage during the May holiday. It is a very beautiful place, where you can hear many birds. We also saw a hare and deer. With a westerly wind you can hear the nearby highway, but when the weather is for sitting outside on the terrace, the wind usually comes from the east or south. The beds were a bit saggy, but nevertheless we slept well. The WiFi is weak in the house, but good on the terrace.

Beautifully maintained place. Lovely old building but clean and modern. Located quite remote, has a beautiful garden with terrace and you see regularly a hare, hawk and other wildlife. You will share the "garden" z "n all. Located just off the highway (which incidentally totally hear you), so good base for excursions in the area.

In total there are 3 flats available in the buildings belonging to the old mill, it has one bedroom, terrace, spacious living room and bathroom. The floors and ceilings walk not all right but it does give charm to the apartment. In itself, simply furnished but very complete and well clean. Bed is also good. Landlords Gertrud and Bernd are very welcoming and helpful. Unique location, beautiful view and nice quiet area. The area has lots to see, castles, the Moselle, and the fine marked & quottraumpfaden ".

This is the most beautiful spot apartment spacious and comfortable. Only suitable for two people. Very welcoming administrators. We felt completely at home and had the beautiful garden at our disposal. Excellent starting point for excursions and hikes.

We have a week spent in one of three cottages of Kaifenheimer Muhle. It is our birth right. The reception was the warmest and the house was neat and clean. Because of the beautiful weather we can nicely sit on the terrace and in the garden. In the immediate vicinity you can walk fine, documentation is available in the cottage. If base is the Muhle also fine. You're so in Cochem and Koblenz. The cottage itself is a bit dated in terms of decor and facilities (no WiFi and dishwasher, but that was known to us). All in all a pleasant place to stay with reasonable price-performance ratio for a week.

Recommend space, rest, and plenty to do in the area. We stayed there with our 6 month daughter and visited museums and towns and made walks. The cottage belongs to a medieval estate which is maintained by the heirs, with the proceeds from rental. Very nice people, very relieved. They occasionally enter the estate to maintain the garden etc. There is a garden with lots of flowers, a sandbox for children, and there are sun loungers on the terrace. Downhill is a big lawn where you can shade at any time of the day.
