Waldferienpark Gerolstein consists of a campsite and a bungalow park. It allows you to enjoy the camping atmosphere while staying in the comfort of a holiday home.
There is a choice of two types. The wooden chalet (DE-54568-40) sleeps up to four people and features two bedrooms, a lounge and a comfortable kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob. The stone bungalow (DE-54568-39) sleeps up to six people and features three bedrooms. The kitchen is fitted with an electric hob. Both the wooden chalets and the bungalows are ground-floor accommodations that are nicely furnished and feature a small, private terrace with garden furniture.

Waldferienpark Gerolstein is a combined bungalow park / campsite in Hinterhausen, beautifully situated in the green hills of the Volcanic Eifel region at 5.3 km from the town of Gerolstein. The area is characterised by caves, reservoir lakes, old mines, fortresses and castles. The options for cycling and walking are endless in the immediate vicinity of this attractive holiday resort. An ideal base for a wonderful holiday and for exploring the versatile Eifel region.
The bungalow park is run by Dutch owners and the friendly atmosphere makes it perfect for families and those looking for a peaceful holiday. Children will love the low-traffic grounds, where they can enjoy themselves in the playground, the petting zoo, with mini golf or in the indoor swimming pool. The restaurant offers regional dishes as well as some Dutch specialities, and drinks and snacks are available at the bar as well. If you don't fancy cooking, you can also get a take-away meal from the restaurant.
The town of Gerolstein is known for the mineral water with the same name, which is bottled here and exported. It has some interesting shops, you can drink the fresh mineral water from the Helenenquelle well in the park, or go for a swim in the indoor or outdoor swimming pool. During the winter months, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit the lovely Christmas market in town!
The region is great for both active and cultural day trips. Visit the prehistoric Buchenloch cave (7 km), go fly fishing at the river Kyll (16 km) or go swimming in the Kronenburger See reservoir lake (32 km). A little further away, you'll find plenty of culture in the historic city of Trier (67 km), which is the oldest city in Germany. Or visit the enchanting Burcht Eltz (70 km) in the magnificent Eltzer forest. Roller coaster enthusiasts will love the spectacular Phantasialand amusement park (80 km). With no less than seven roller coasters, this theme park is one of the largest in Europe. There are plenty of attractions for younger kids, too.
In short, Waldferienpark Gerolstein has everything you may need for an active, relaxing or cultural holiday in the versatile Eifel region.

Very pleasant arrival, Dutch owners with whom we immediately clicked. The cottage was in a nice spot. The cottage itself was not the most modern, but was neatly clean and had everything to spend the holiday well. Spacious enough for 5 people, had very good beds and good sanitary facilities. The park and the surrounding area are beautiful.

The accommodation was very simple with quite a few flaws here and there (bedrooms: very small, without bedside table !, cupboard doors could not close and were therefore half open which was difficult in the already small space)

There is absolutely nothing modern about this house anymore. My partner called it "old cheap junk" and I can only agree. Maintenance very moderate to even bad here and there. For furnishing I would even say; "A put together (and often cheap) worn-out mess". I would urgently advise the owner to put in a major modernization Tips: 2 bed (Not all 80 + "ers who come here) and good non-creaky beds, modernize shower, make furniture in the living room more pleasant (you want to relax after all) can sit with 6!! people), freshen things up with modern nice furniture, nice new lighting, fresh colors and renewed (roller) curtains), finish and eliminate pipes and finally repair the broken things. No, because almost everything is there, except the promised freezer and dishwasher. Everything works reasonably well. Everything was, as far as possible, sufficiently clean. Shower and hot water top. Heating not used, but radiators in abundance. Stove OK Wifi OK.We are therefore disturbed by the quality-price ratio that is completely out of sync here in our opinion.Flauwekul, as well-paid dog tax, etc, etc are added on top.Almost 1,000 euros for 10 nac hten in the late season makes no sense for this house. With pain and effort we squeeze out another "reasonable" because it is a beautiful location (you dive straight into the forest) in a beautiful natural environment. We quickly put the quality of the hut aside and spent a lot of time on it and we didn't lack anything. Would I recommend this property: Not now, but there was potential to make it really beautiful.

the park is very nice, but because my partner has difficulty walking, we had to rely on day trips by car. we were disappointed that the restaurant was only open during the weekend; we didn't want to cook for ourselves.

House is reasonable, not completely clean. View is very nice. We had rented a house with 3 bedrooms, it is also stated in the confirmation from Belvilla, but we get a house with 2 bedrooms. There was nothing to talk about at the reception unfortunately. This would be due to the way Belvilla passes on the booking. The price remains the same.

Environment is highly recommended. Accommodation was not great, outside table top was missing, we were not advised of this and no replacement was provided. Bathroom was rusty and dirty. The food in the restaurant was very good.

House is in a nice area. The house is also very spacious. Unfortunately it was not really clean. The reception was not very friendly which can also be said about the departure. You would at least expect the question whether things were to your liking, but unfortunately. When I asked where we could leave the waste, they asked if we hadn't been given a map. Not really friendly.
