The house is really beautiful: plenty of space and especially this huge table in the kitchen was great because everyone came together. Unfortunately, it was not clean and tidy. The refrigerators were not clean, the one on the first floor probably wasn't cleaned at all. Also, the trash can was really dirty and the dishes were partially slightly greasy. That was really a shame. Please make sure to do a deep clean. Otherwise, everything was really great, and if you assure us that everything will be thoroughly cleaned, we would definitely book again. I booked a holiday home for my family and me. We are 10 adults, 5 children, and a baby. It was supposed to be our first joint vacation in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, it turned out that the house you rented out is in a dilapidated condition. There are technical defects (detached handrail on the upper floor - risk of accidents! - loose door handle, entrance door does not close (must be locked constantly to stay closed), light in one bathroom not functioning, a broken showerhead, shower drains clogged, missing shower curtains, a broken backrest on a chair, etc.). As far as I could, I repaired the hazardous areas myself to ensure our safety. Even more shocking was the lack of cleanliness throughout the house. All kitchen utensils were extremely dirty, and the floors were heavily soiled. The children had black soles on their feet after just a few minutes of walking barefoot in the house. In the kitchen, there were old, dirty rags. The dishes were unclean, and the cabinets were filthy. In general, it seemed that only a superficial cleaning had been done, if at all, just for the first impression. The cleaning supplies were dirty and disgusting in the cleaning room. To create an acceptable condition for us, we decided to clean the house ourselves. I would like to remind you that we were charged €250 for the final cleaning, and I would have expected that such a final cleaning would have been done before our arrival. The house itself has a lot of potential and could offer a charming and homely atmosphere with more care and cleanliness from the landlord's side.

We were there for 2 nights in May as part of a family reunion with 16 people. Overall, a lovely house and property that you could do something with. Unfortunately, the kitchen was cluttered with too many utensils. All of the cupboards were covered in things, empty and full drinks bottles, champagne bottle lids and the like. There was old bread in the oven that was moldy, there was a used filter bag in the coffee machine and the fridge was dirty, so we had to clean it first. There were also old ice cubes in the freezer, but we didn't know how old they were. There was a second kitchen on the upper floor. There was something written in the dust on the extractor hood by some previous tenant... We left it there too... Overall, the house seemed unkempt and run down. The lawn in the garden had obviously been roughly mown shortly before, but it was still so long that the children couldn't play on it. The garden furniture was old, there were bits of chipping on the tables, the plastic was obviously very brittle so that even screws were exposed. The whole house smelled rather unpleasantly of vinegar or cleaning products..., the shower on the upper floor left a large puddle of water every time you showered. The partition was obviously no longer closing properly. The urinal in the bathroom was broken and covered with a plastic bag, but this did not stop the bad smells from coming out of it.

Various empty bottles had been temporarily stored in the garage. The toys that were there were in a reasonable condition. The grill first had to be cleaned of grass and old charcoal residues that had solidified in the rain. The house rules were outdated (e.g. WLAN password was not correct, this was complained about on the phone and then it was pointed out that this had already been complained about by other guests but it should work at some point, but it was the wrong one, the correct one was on the back of the router, the manager said) After several phone calls

We're really not sensitive, but old tissues, leftover sausage in the rooms, broken toilet flush, totally dirty fridge with old leftover vegetables in it, lots of things half broken. There is no heating in the room under the attic (only a mobile one that doesn't keep the room warm), there was a smell of mice and you could hear animals pattering (probably not directly in the room, but in the false floor). So it was unusable, so 2 people ended up sleeping in the hallway.

It's a shame, we couldn't enjoy our vacation. And the house would actually offer so much, the layout and charm of an old farmhouse with a large garden could be so beautiful with cleanliness and a bit of loving furnishings.

The only drawback was that there were no blinds or curtains on the windows to darken, we had to darken the windows with towels or blankets to sleep. It would be great if the landlord would fix this.

There were old ice cubes in the freezer of undetermined age. Upstairs, there was a second kitchen, where something was written in dust on the range hood from previous tenants. The house appeared overall unkempt and worn out. The lawn had been roughly mowed shortly before our arrival, but it was still too long for children to play on. The garden furniture was old, with peeling spots and visibly brittle plastic, with exposed screws. The house had a strong unpleasant smell of vinegar or cleaner, and the shower in the upper floor leaked water, indicating a faulty seal. The urinal in the bathroom was broken and covered with a plastic bag that did not contain the bad smells. The garage contained various empty bottles and the toys in the house were in mediocre condition. The grill had to be cleaned of grass and old coal remnants that had hardened due to rain. The house rules were outdated, for example, it stated that smoking was allowed indoors, which was not desirable for us as non-smokers. WLAN password was not correct, was criticized during the phone call, and it was pointed out that other guests had already complained about it, but eventually it should work. However, it was the wrong one, the correct one was on the back of the router (as the manager pointed out). After several phone calls with the manager, a small compensation was agreed upon, which actually did not do justice to the condition of the house upon arrival. An attempt was made to negotiate further because apparently it had to be borne by him personally. However, I would like to expressly commend the contact with the property manager as he did make an effort. Nonetheless, I would like to urge him to bring the house into a rentable condition, especially since it is not very cheap to sleep there for 2 nights. We had expected a bit more, at least cleanliness. The rooms, especially the dining room, could use a new coat of paint. Mosquito screens would be nice due to the location near the village pond, but do not factor into our rating. We hope that this review will have some effect and that the house will be brought back to a beautiful condition. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the proximity to Wismar and the Baltic Sea.

It's a shame, we couldn't enjoy our vacation. And the house would actually offer so much, the layout and charm of an old farmhouse with a large garden could be so beautiful with cleanliness and a bit of loving furnishings.

The farmhouse met our needs. Just right for families or friends to meet, very large garden in which children can let off steam and even adults can find a quiet spot to chill out. The only drawback was that there were no blinds or curtains on the windows to darken, we had to darken the windows with towels or blankets to sleep. It would be great if the landlord would fix this.
