We decided to spend a week in this property due to the many positive comments. The location of the property is really very nice with short distances to Kühlungsborn, Rerik, or even Bad Doberan. The grounds were well-maintained. The house itself (an apartment in a duplex) was borderline small for us 6 (2 adults with 4 small children). All 3 bedrooms on the upper floor, which is accessed via a very steep internal staircase, had tiny rooms estimated at about 8 sqm each. The beds creaked, and there was only a very small wardrobe in each. In the bathroom, we missed a shelf in the sink area for all hygiene items. The kitchen was moderately well equipped, and many items did not match or were only available in small quantities and low quality (too few small spoons, too few drinking glasses…). The refrigerator had no light and was wet, the dishwasher did not clean satisfactorily in any program. Hot water was only available after a very long time, which affected both the kitchen and the bathroom. There was a lack of insect protection on the windows, which is why we had especially many flies in the house. The windows were also very small, making the whole house very dark. The cleanliness was okay at first glance. One was not allowed to look under and/or behind furniture... The craftsmanship of the house also had questionable quality without wanting to go into the many issues. There was almost a complete lack of decoration/pictures. The dining table, laminate, and baseboards were quite worn. The Wi-Fi kept dropping. Overall, we unfortunately had the impression that little money and care were invested, but with nice pictures, an attempt was made to present the house as more beautiful than it is. The price matched what we expected based on the description and comments. We should have read the comments more carefully before booking. Then we would have had doubts earlier... Overall, we would give a 5 out of 10, which is saved by the good location and the well-maintained property.

What a beautiful retreat! The terrace is a great place to relax, especially with a BBQ in the evening. The nearby beach was lovely, and we enjoyed some great dining options in Kühlungsborn.

We had a fantastic time in this charming mansion in Bastorf! The spacious terrace was perfect for our family barbecues, and the kids loved the sandbox and the play equipment. The open kitchen made it easy to prepare meals together, and we appreciated the coffee machine for our morning coffee.

This property is well located, a short drive from both the beach and the lake. The living room was cozy and we enjoyed the double sofa bed for extra guests. Overall a practical and comfortable stay.

It was okay, but we wouldn't book it again. The couch in the living room was acceptable but sagging. All the bedrooms were maybe 8 square meters, correspondingly cramped, and you couldn't even open the window properly, just tilt it. Nice little things were only partially available (1x laundry detergent, 4x dishwasher cleaner), so there was no hand soap and no dish soap either. Additionally, it was only somewhat clean. And there were flies buzzing around like crazy. The building was probably once a stable, so you probably can't get rid of the flies ;). All in all, it was a nice stay in a tiny village, although you can't really talk about "proximity to the beach.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The high chair and the crib made traveling with our little one so much easier. Also, the on-site parking was a huge advantage. We can't wait to come back!

All the bedrooms were maybe 8 square meters, correspondingly cramped, and you couldn't even open the window properly, only tilt it. Nice little things were only partially available (1x laundry detergent, 4x dishwasher cleaner), so there was no hand soap and no dish soap either. Additionally, it was only somewhat clean. And there were flies buzzing around wildly. The building was probably once a stable, so you probably can't get the flies out ;). All in all, it was a nice stay in a tiny village, although you can't really talk about "proximity to the beach."

The apartment is highly recommended. We go to Kühlungsborn every year and have now found an apartment in the neighboring town where you can also travel with dogs. Very rural location and yet there is a kiosk in the street and supermarkets and co. Just a few kilometers away.

The accommodation was clean, tidy and you felt right at home. On arrival you were greeted warmly by the house owners. We were shown everything, even where the children can play. The house was very bright and friendly. The furniture had seen better days before, but that didn't bother us. The only criticism: Unfortunately, you can't really ventilate the bedrooms, so it was always pretty warm inside. The area is very popular with cyclists because the lighthouse is a stone's throw away from the house. In the evening it is wonderfully quiet and you can see the sea from the house. The path to the sea is also about 20 minutes away on foot. And what was nice, you could bring your dog with you, all in one: we will definitely be back.
