Beautiful accommodation with a special ambiance on the ground floor (former stable). Nice large dining table, cozy seating areas, fireplace, and bar. The house is relatively noisy due to its age, especially the wooden floors on the upper floor. The equipment in the kitchen, pool, sauna, etc. is somewhat older, but everything is functional and sufficient. Large, well-maintained outdoor area with grill, playground, and garden table... can be used very well. Communication with the owner in advance was uncomplicated. Serge, the on-site manager, is very helpful and quick to respond when needed. The handover with him was also problem-free and pleasant. There are various different excursion destinations in the area, so there is no boredom. We felt very comfortable during the week in autumn and had a great time.

Had a lovely stay, partly thanks to the beautiful weather. The kitchen is well-equipped and large, with three stoves, three dishwashers, and three refrigerators: very convenient. The house is an old barn with a low ceiling. Therefore, we were happy with the nice weather: with 13 children, it would have been quite a challenge in terms of noise if we had to stay inside all the time. There are two seating areas, each for a maximum of about 15 people. The floor is very uneven with many steps up and down: a big challenge for the 88-year-old grandma who came along. Pool: top. Garden: super, very large. The upper floor has wooden floors that creak (but none of us were woken up by it). Quiet environment, with a small supermarket and bakery three minutes' drive to the left, another bakery and greengrocer three minutes' drive to the right.

It is an old house and it takes some getting used to the design of the living room and the kitchen. But the presence of the swimming pool, saunas and jacuzzi ensured that the children had a great time. Everyone, the children and the grandchildren were unanimously enthusiastic about our stay in the Joséphine residence. What a beautiful escape! The indoor pool was a fantastic feature, especially for the children. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The proximity to the natural trails allowed us to enjoy beautiful hikes during our stay.

The host was very friendly. The house was big enough for the number of people. We were with 22 people, so there was plenty of space. You can retreat if needed. There are many steps, which is inconvenient with small children. The downside was that the floor upstairs creaked and that in some places upstairs the wifi could not connect well. But you can also approach the host for this (which we unfortunately did not do). The swimming pool felt to us like too much chlorine, but if you open the door and then pull the windows, that takes it away a bit. Furthermore, definitely a recommendation.

The photos of the cottage on the website are misleading because the whole is quite dark and you can't see the many steps on the ground floor that can be a risk of falling. The equipment in the bedrooms does not ensure optimal and equal comfort for all tenants, especially at night when going to the toilet at the risk of waking up your neighbors, since the floor is creaky and therefore very noisy!.
The water troughs and gutters are useless and pose a danger to the mobility of tenants.
A fly trap would be necessary in the living room and kitchen, as well as mouse traps. The collection of household waste is contrary to the regulations of the Walloon Region.
The terrace and the pétanque ground are not maintained, we deplored two falls given the slippery ground.
A pool cover would be necessary to avoid loss of degrees. Finally, the positive points are the swimming pool, the kitchen equipment, the indoor games. This is not a cottage for people with reduced mobility, but difficult for the elderly.
I am disputing the price of the fuel oil because it was announced at €1.30, we are being billed €1.10 while the price on the day of 6/9/24 is €0.854, so I am waiting for a correction of the invoice.

The house is an old converted cowshed. Very authentic. Living area with a beautiful fantastic table. and 2 salons where you can relax. Kitchen is spacious but appliances are outdated and in urgent need of updating. The stove is still electric. Patience is then a beautiful virtue. With the ovens you can no longer read which program it is on and there is no hot air option. Rooms are spacious and neat. Showers and toilets also need replacing. We were 21 guests and had plenty of space, but 10 extra people would have been too many. Swimming pool was spacious enough and neat. Fitness didn't mean much. Infusion sauna was very spacious and was also very hot. There was also an infrared. This one was smaller. For the rest it was neat. Nevertheless, a nice base for visits to nature parks or breweries and for those who want something more sporty, you can go rail biking or electric scooters or even mountain biking. For us it was certainly a success, but for that price we expected a little more comfort.

I just spoke to the customer who has been in the home and they were very pleased. Was a beautiful house, pool was heated, everything functioned properly. We have been to the town of Sourbrodt with our group of friends, including the children. We spent a midweek in Josephine's house and it was great. Good and nice reception by the owner and the house is large. There is enough space for everyone to do their own thing, but you can also sit alone at the long table with them. The kids loved the pool and we really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. It is clean and tidy, of course it is not all new, but that is not necessary for me. We enjoyed and immediately booked again for the autumn holiday with the family. We are already looking forward to it again.

However, the communication with the landlord was not good. On the form we received were two telephone numbers. One of these numbers turned out to belong to someone else, the other number did not work properly. In the building itself there were other numbers written down on forms. It was very unclear how we could get someone on the line in case of emergency.
On Saturday night at 23:20 the fire alarm went off (without cause, we did not detect anything anywhere). Despite several attempts, we could not reach the landlord. The forms that were hung up regarding the fire alarm system were incorrect (it said that we had to reset the system with a key, we did not have a key & this was also incorrect, we needed a code).
In the end we called the technical support services of the fire alarm system ourselves (at high telephone costs!). They did pick up, but by the time the technician arrived, we had tried a few codes ourselves (one of which turned out to be correct) & the alarm stopped.
The landlord did come by the next morning, he explained that he had problems with his number (2 SIM cards) & that was why we sometimes had difficulty reaching him. Friendly in itself, but anything but correct when renting out a property.

The house was in a neat and clean condition upon arrival. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were fine! The beds and bedrooms were also fine! The kitchen is ideal for a large group, just a pity that it is completely closed off from the rest. We have been to the town of Sourbrodt with our group of friends, including the children. We spent a midweek in Josephine's house and it was great. Good and nice reception by the owner and the house is large. There is enough space for everyone to do their own thing, but you can also sit alone at the long table with them. The kids loved the pool and we really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. It is clean and tidy, of course it is not all new, but that is not necessary for me. We enjoyed and immediately booked again for the autumn holiday with the family. We are already looking forward to it again.

With our family of 25 people, including babies, toddlers, teenagers and adults, we had a great time in this house with swimming pool (30 degrees), saunas, jacuzzi, pool billiards and football game. Plenty of room, lots of bathrooms and everything very clean. Practical, large kitchen where our "cooks" could work well. Friendly welcome by the landlord. Beautiful area with many cycling and walking opportunities nearby. Unfortunately, due to the season, little use was made of terraces and garden.

Beautiful farm, old stable in original form, is the part of the residence. Spacious kitchen with all facilities. Nice pool and a nice jacuzzi. Lots of space around the house. At maximum occupancy it is tight. Too bad there is no roof.

We were received very unfriendly by the owner. The photos on the site do not correspond to reality at all. House is very dangerous for getting off and unevenness. The owner / manager apparently lives near the complex and suddenly stood up the sidewalk due to being noisy in the middle of the day at 11am we were in euphoria during our activities and admonished us not to make a noise or else he would call the police and also threatened us not to get our deposit back because we had moved a bank.This man was not at all helpful or co-thinking.Which is also a pity that there is no starter package in the house is.Ik will never recommend this house to anyone.

It is an old house and it takes some getting used to the design of the living room and the kitchen. But the presence of the swimming pool, saunas and jacuzzi ensured that the children had a great time. The welcome was very pleasant. The owners were on the spot when I called them and everything was well explained. We thought the house was great. It is an old stable and therefore somewhat dark, but on the contrary attractive and nicely furnished. Similarly the bedrooms. We had a lot of fun with the pool table, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. The 2 saunas are also a plus. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious enough to work together on the meal. Highly recommended for large groups who want plenty of entertainment in and around the house (because the surroundings are beautiful too!) to have.

The manager was very friendly, explains everything well in German or French. The accommodation is reasonable. Living room is former cowshed where little daylight enters. The bedrooms and beds are reasonable. The showers are good. Plus points are the swimming pool, the sauna, whirlpool and billiard table. The kitchen is good with sufficient equipment. The whole looks somewhat dated. The garden has a large lawn. The house is on a corner on a main road opposite a church. No view of the surroundings from the house. The area is beautiful with plenty of walking opportunities.

It was the second time we rented this nice big house for a family weekend. Friendly and clear reception by the gerants. Pleasant environment. We were 26 people, the youngest 1 year and the oldest 82 years. Given the varied pool table, play equipment, swimming pool and jacuzzi, there was something for everyone. Moreover, the house and the garden are big enough to give everyone enough space. Highly recommended.

A week family vacation with 3 generations, including grandfathers and grandmothers, children and grandchildren. It was an unforgettable holiday where the house, the swimming pool, the jacuzzi and the garden played an important role. The area is very suitable for hiking, cycling and mountain-biking. During evening walks we spot deer, foxes and even a badger was observed. The house is not suitable for rollators or wheelchairs and the smallest people have stumbled. But the size of the house, the great kitchen, and the garden with attributes were great.
