The estate, Quinta da Arte, is a country estate on 12 hectares of land with four separate, privately located, individual cottages, each of which is a special feature and located in the middle of a natural, mature park with art objects, surrounded by private gardens.
The property has a swimming pool, an open-air theater with 120 seats, a dance studio, a boules court and walking paths where the curious explorer will encounter sculptures and art objects.
Our artistic, colorful and original vacation home, the PAVILHAO DA ARTE with a separate bedroom with double bed and mosquito net, air conditioning and a large outdoor bed with mosquito net, is best suited for 2-3 adults or for
2 adults with 2 children, it depends on where the guest wants to spend the night. (Please ask me)
A special cottage with a beautiful bathroom, all in blue tones, with a large, beautifully tiled shower-bathtub
Adjacent to the bathroom is the bedroom with air conditioning and a double bed.
The house captivates by the layout and size, by the many color views and choice of materials, as well as the integrated art objects. And it attracts especially with its great, large outdoor bed with mosquito protection, where whole families have spent their summer nights to gaze at the starry night sky.
The large living room has integrated art objects, a sofa with desk and chair, and on request, two more sleeping possibilities under a mosquito net with fans.
The separate and fully equipped kitchen is located in an extra kitchen house in the back of the garden next to the covered dining and barbecue area and an adjacent outdoor shower.
Living in the middle of nature, that's what our guests say about their holidays with us.

HYGIENE in times of COVID 19:
Dear guests, I would like to emphasize that in this particular dangerous situation we will of course use additional disinfectants to those already in use. I have studied the newly enacted local laws in detail and will follow them conscientiously.
A clean house has always been a special concern of ours, which our guests can confirm in their evaluations.
Our houses are far away from each other and so you have distance to the other guests if you want it.
To better times and until then watchful and careful is my motto.
Once arrived, our guests are often amazed by the even larger appearing, or even prettier features of the accommodations than you had already seen on the photos and expected.
The vacation homes are also often booked by several families who live next to each other in the houses.
Separate and yet together.
The people who come to us love the originality of the accommodations and above all the Natuer to experience with and your to live.
They love to be able to rest undisturbed, to get away from their daily routine and to immerse themselves gradually in the Portuguese rhythm of life, of the people, of the sea, of the food and of the life.
The four vacation houses have everything you need for this and each house shows its own special face to the guest.
Children who come to visit us learn to play and discover all our grounds because they can move freely and undisturbed and of course the pool is one of the favorite places for them to spend the whole day, if there were not so many other beautiful things to discover.....

Peace, nature, inspiration, freedom.
From the ideas of an artist and his creative partner, four individual, artistically designed vacation units were created where each has privacy and its own charisma. The mild climate and the light as an inspiration, the desire to bring people closer to nature and the same was designed buildings made of glass and iron or, for example, shadow roofs made of colored acrylic panels.

Quinta da Arte is located in the Sotavento, the south-east facing Algarve coast, a coastal landscape with miles of sandy beaches and intact bird and fish life. Here, fishing boats cross the waterways of the tamed Atlantic Ocean. The property itself is set in a vast natural landscape nestled among carob-olive-almond and orange tree plantations. Surrounded by a gently rolling mountain fringe, the sea glistens on the horizon some 8 km away in the distance. The pearl of the Algarve, the Roman-Arab Renaissance town of Tavira, located at the mouth of the 'Ria do Gilao' is only 10 km away.

| Utilities: Gas and electricity are included in the price. The use of the air conditioning will be charged to the landlady at the end of your stay. An internet router is available in the house if required. A card for this costs 1 Euro + per day, depending on the provider. Free WIFI is also available. The check-in date is best arranged before your arrival. As an exception, we also receive guests after midnight. Pets (please on request): € 35,00 per stay and pet *. * Dogs are always welcome, please ask me. However, experience has shown that it is necessary to set some rules so that the owner and other guests are not disturbed by the dog: The owner must ensure that the dog does its business in the grounds. Our property is only 9km away from the most beautiful sights or the clean sea with its wide, great beaches.
The kilometres of sandy beaches in the Eastern Algarve are well worth seeing, protected by the beautiful lagoons and mud flats with various game and water birds, where even flamingos are home to the nature reserve of the "Ria Formosa".
Visit the still existing, small fishing villages and their lively goings-on.
Lagoon landscapes which enchant and which the guest can overcome with small fishing boats, on foot or with cosy ferries to get to the sea. Nice: leisurely walk over nicely laid out paths to the sea.
Discoveries:
There is an old castle and lots of nature to explore in and around Castro Marim or more than 35 churches in the charming and particularly worth seeing 150 year old Renaissance town of Tavira, the pearl of the Algarve.
Faro is also worth seeing, with its old, beautiful city centre, a convent and a bone church of the Franciscans as well as a well-kept shopping street where it is nice to stroll and visit the cafes. The most Arab city by the sea, Olhao has not only its beautiful large market halls with fresh goods, but also old streets and even older small shops.
Cacela Velha, new city, old city and the Ria da Formosa in front of the door and extensive golf courses. St. Lucia, formerly a stronghold of the squid fishing, is now a popular destination to eat a variety of dishes cooked from it or to get to the sea by boat. And there would be Fuzeta: bars, restaurants, fishing boats ...... and much more that I would be happy to tell you about.

Other beautiful travel destinations .....: Spain is very close to us and can be reached very quickly. Across the border river, the Guardiana, a small ferry goes from Vila Real St. Antonio and takes you to Andalusia, where the beautiful world of starters, Spanish tapas, begins. The world of the Spaniards, with its many legends tell of horses and bullfights, the shimmering heat, the fights between the Portuguese and Spaniards long ago and the dawn of modern times has long since found its way into the white villages of the municipality. Visit
El Roccio, a pilgrimage site where there was once a brave churchman who saved many of the area's gypsies from the persecution of the fascists in his church. Visit the adjacent 'Donana' nature reserve, with rare birds and lynx, its large pine forests and continue to Seville, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. You drive only 1 hour 50 m by car from our Quinta to Seville. Welcome !!

An extraordinary stay - we love it!
We had the great luck to spend our perfect summer vacation at Quinta da Arte. We spent 1 week each in "Casa das Rochas" and "Pavilhao da Arte." The total of 4 houses on the generously laid-out property all impress with their individuality and cannot be compared with one another. The houses are optimally equipped with everything needed and ensure a maximum level of privacy. Anyone who, like us, seeks the special and feels comfortable in a creative environment will love it at Quinta da Arte. This is primarily due to Heidi's uncomplicated, warm, and hospitable demeanor. The contact before, during, and after the stay left nothing to be desired: she always offered us good tips in a subtle manner.
We wholeheartedly recommend the stay! Our hearts are still so full, we don't know how to convey our positive experiences. Unfortunately, the characters in the review are limited; you will soon find our more detailed review on Google.

Very special holidays
We spent our honeymoon at the accommodation and nothing better could have happened to us. A very special place to unwind and dream. The hosts also contributed greatly to our comfort. Always nice and approachable and always ready with great tips for excursions. We will always fondly remember the little paradise.

Der Pavilhao ist ein kuenstlersich gestaltes Haus und laesst den Gast sicher eine ganz andere Wohnerfahung erleben .
Man lebt in Mitten der Natur umgeben von Palmen und Baeumen und lebt doch so nahe am Meer und schoenen sehenswerten Staedten und vor allem dem tollen Meer an dem Ihr viel und gerne Eurer Zeit verbracht habt.
Vor allem der unlaublich schoene weite Strand Fabrica hat es Euch angetan.
Doch danach kamt Ihr sehr erne in Euer Zeit weiliges zu Hause und habt es genossen.

A magical holiday experience
My family (myself, husband and 3yr old) stayed at the Quinta da Arte and everything exceeded our expectations. Our holiday was the most relaxed we have ever been and the surroundings are so inspiring - a truly magical experience. We loved our house and the outdoor spaces were perfect for having family meals and time together. The pool was great and provided so much fun for us all, as a family. The accommodation is in the most amazing location and we loved the peace and quiet - we were lucky to shooting stars at night! It is also a short drive to some great towns/beaches. Heidi is a wonderful host, we felt at home the moment we arrived and had everything needed. Heidi spent time giving us great recommendations and even booked us massages. We will definitely return to this unique and special place.

A gem off the beaten path of mass tourism.
A holiday accommodation full of creativity and exceptional design. A real gem among the thousands of holiday options. The outdoor kitchen, simply brilliant. But the outdoor bed was a real highlight. Before falling asleep, you could listen to the sounds of frogs, crickets, and birds. As soon as you opened your eyes early in the morning, the trees could be admired in the warm light of the rising sun through the gossamer net. Then followed the almost daily walk through the huge estate with its many hidden surprises. Heidi was very caring and provided us with a lot of background information, from the artistic beginnings over 30 years ago to the present day with its challenges. Due to the very few light sources in this region, you can also wonderfully observe the starry sky at night. We were very much on the road with our rental car. However, it is recommended to book a longer stay in order not to rush through the vacation for fear of missing a sight in the Algarve, but to have more time on site and enjoy the tranquility of the property.

Had a great time
The photos correspond to the real appearance. There is a lot of peace, privacy, and space. But there are many nice restaurants and beautiful villages nearby.
Heidi is a fantastic hostess. She has good tips, and if there was something, she took care of it immediately. We will definitely come back.

I have been living in this beautiful place in the eastern Algarve for over 30 years now, which my husband, a versatile artist, has created with a lot of passion and creativity The almond blossom in spring, the beautiful sea on the doorstep in summer, hiking in autumn. Shopping takes place in the lively, diverse nearby markets, for example in Tavira and Olhao, and in autumn I enjoy the peace and quiet that returns to the Algarve, the soft light that settles over the lagoon and everything seems to stand still for a moment. And not forgetting the friendly, unobtrusive and very helpful Portuguese people. It is fortunate that I have such friendly guests and friends who come to visit us at our Quinta da Arte to enjoy the nature, the peace, the creativity and the freedom.
