It is one of the most beautiful places on Texel, on the edge of the forest and dunes in the middle of the unique nature area De Dennen, which is part of the national park "Duinen van Texel". Enjoy the beach, the sun and the sea or a delicious lunch at beach pavilion 17, which is only 1.5 km away. For children the swimming paradise Calluna, seal sanctuary as well as the museum Ecomare and the Schipbreuk - en Juttersmuseum Flora are not far away. De Kiekendief is the ideal base for the most beautiful cycling, walking or horse riding trips across Texel. The pleasant seaside resort of De Koog is a 10-minute walk away and offers a variety of dining establishments and a large number of shops.
