Description
The house is built from stone in the traditional style of the Mani region and is set in a magnificent location. It offers a free view across the Taygetos landscape, the gorge of Vathi-Lagadi and the Messenian Bay. The air is full of aromatic scents of oregano and rosemary and the tranquillity of the area around the house is very soothing and relaxing. SPITI MAS – means “our house”. The high, wood panelled ceiling, the exposed stone walls, the fireplace and the colourful interior give atmosphere and a special charm to the house.
The comfortable, two-storey stone house is set in a beautiful hillside location in a quiet and idyllic surrounding. Entrance to the first floor is via 18 steps. Adjoining to the living room is an open kitchen. From the living room you have direct access to the large roofed terrace where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Taygetos mountain scenery and the sea. A small hallway leads to the 3 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms. 2 of the bedrooms have access to the roofed front terrace. The ground level of the house is not developed.
This holiday house is ideal for people who want to enjoy seclusion and absolute tranquillity in the middle of nature. The countryside around the house is ideal for hiking. Just 5 minutes by car you reach the Kalamitsi beach. The small, idyllic village Proastio is a good starting point for tours in near vicinity. The there are many small byzantine churches and chapels to visit. Whether you are a sun worshipper, interested in culture or you love hiking, you will all find what you are looking for. Even if you don´t want go out you can still spend your day on the terrace enjoying the magnificent view towards the gorge and across the sea. Especially the sunsets are wonderful to watch from the terrace.

Superschönes ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus mit toller Terasse. Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber, die Küchenausstattung perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The house was a great surprise, we (2 people, around 60 years old) immediately extended our stay, which was easily arranged with JASSU Reisen. Somewhat secluded, but bathing bays and pretty towns can be reached easily by car within a few minutes. Only the chirping of crickets around the house, sea view, and incredible silence. We enjoyed it very much. The house itself is spacious, tastefully decorated, and functionally well equipped. We would love to spend our vacation there again at any time.

A beautiful location. On a sparsely trafficked street, only the occasional car or tractor on the way to spray olives. In the morning hours, the two subtenants (marten) in the attic can be heard. But that's also a piece of nature. A wonderful view of the sea and mountains. Everything is very orderly and labeled. Nothing is missing in the kitchen (microwave, various kitchen appliances, sandwich maker, etc.). A large library leaves no room for boredom. WLAN is not available. In both Vodafone and Telekom networks, often only Edge is available. Patience is required here. Highly recommended property for people who need peace and quiet.

Very nice house, especially the view from the large terrace to the sea and the mountains. The driveway to the house is steep, because of the bend from the road to the driveway up with our off-road vehicles no problem, but normal car or convertible? The landlady is very friendly. We enjoyed it very much and would like to come back. Just as JASSU described it.

The house was a great surprise, we (2 persons +/- 60) extended our stay immediately, which went smoothly with JASSU Reisen. A bit off the beaten track, but bathing bays and pretty places are easily accessible by car in a few minutes. But only the chirping of crickets around the house, sea view and unbelievable silence. We enjoyed it very much. The house itself is spacious, tasteful and functionally well equipped. We would gladly spend our holiday there again at any time.
