Restored farmhouse of the 16 th century made of natural stone.
In a fenced garden plot (circa 6000 m2) close to the medieval village, there are, in a restored farm, two independent houses with own gardenpart, minimum weekly to rent.
Castellaro Lagusello (Mantova) is a romantic village closed inside his medieval walls near a small lake in Moraine Hills in the south of Lake Garda. 380 inhabitants. It is about 12-15 km from Peschiera del Garda and Sirmione, two sites directly at the Lake Garda.

Lake Garda beach 10 km. 5 golf clubs within 3–20 km. Amusement parks 15 km. Several water parks in the nearby area, one with 2 pools, tennis and meadows can be reached by bicycle in 5 km.
The area (the morainic hills of Lake Garda) is wonderful for cycling. Beautiful hiking trails on Monte Baldo (2230 m), also accessible by cable car or chairlift.
Several wineries in the area. In addition to the traditional weekly markets, held in almost all villages, further special markets take place in every season, such as the especially beloved flea markets (antiques, ). You absolutely must visit a "Sagra" (most are in spring, summer, and autumn), where you can taste typical local cuisine and also dance.
Several outlets with Fashion Made in Italy in the area, in January and July also very good sales (from 100 m to 10-20 km). Upon request, Italian language lessons and Italian cooking classes. Upon request, we can provide you with household help (extra charge).
By train, you can visit Milan, Brescia, Verona, Vicenza, Padua, or Venice during the day. Mantua 30 km.

Italy at its best!

The Lucertola house is elevated on the edge of the village of Castellaro Lagusello, which rightly holds the title of "Italy's most beautiful village". The view from the house passes through cypress trees to the towers of the village, which is also charming in the evenings with three atmospheric trattorias and several bars frequented mainly by Italians. The village provides one of Italy's leading sports teams in the sport of tamburello, a ball game already known to the Romans. Evening training and championship matches can be watched

The house is tastefully and discreetly furnished with old Italian furniture. The size of the house, the spaciousness of the rooms, the light walls, the stone floors and the high ceilings create a light atmosphere

The well-kept garden for exclusive use is almost the size of a small football field. It is nice to sit on one of the loungers under the shady tree. The gorgeous terrace faces the garden. There is a private staircase from the garden down to the village

The landlords, who live out of sight in a separate building at the beginning of the property, are extremely hospitable and leave nothing to be desired for their guests. They are charming, very polite and reserved. We felt very much at home and welcome here. The landlady speaks perfect German

History, nature, and relaxation

The house is located within an ancient agricultural court expertly renovated while preserving its charm. It is furnished with antique furniture, equipped with all comforts, and complete outdoor furniture. There is a spacious private garden, well-maintained, facing the outdoor dining/relaxation area. Outside the Court, the beautiful village of Castellaro Lagusello deserves to be visited. The owners, descendants of an ancient family that has preserved this place over time, are very hospitable, available to provide information and assistance for every need.

A dive into the Middle Ages in the San Giuseppe courtyard in Castellaro Lagusello near Lake Garda. Just past the gate, a very green lawn welcomed us, despite it being February, with an imposing 12th-century building standing on it. A bit further, our historic residence greeted us with a lit fireplace and refined furnishings. A truly magical time. We will be back soon.

Relaxation and recreation!

We enjoyed every minute from the beginning! The house is lovingly and comfortably furnished and fully equipped. Nothing was missing in the apartment.
Thanks to the summer weather, we were able to use the terrace directly in front of the kitchen with a view of the spacious garden every day.
The helpfulness and hospitality of the Zamboni family should be emphasized!
We felt very comfortable and can recommend the holiday home to everyone!

Spent a wonderful Christmas time in Castellaro Lugasello!

We spent a lovely Christmas time at the Zamboni family's house. Cozy days between the years with underfloor heating and an open fireplace with a crackling fire. We had wonderful days where we relaxed very well. The house is beautifully furnished, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you like to cook yourself! The Zamboni family is extremely nice and hospitable. We felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the holiday home even in winter.

Great vacation!!!

Rarely recovered so quickly.
All in all, a beautiful property, very well and nicely furnished, very well maintained and very clean. The landlords are very nice and very helpful.
This was our fourth time in Castellaro Lagusello, as we really like this place.
But this accommodation was the best. We can recommend it with a good conscience.
We will come back.

Gourmet holiday

Hospitality at its best! Warmly welcomed, we felt very comfortable and explored the southern lakeside from Castellaro Lagusello. With friends, we spent a wonderful, enjoyable week. The active days ended on the terrace overlooking the large garden with a bottle of wine. Time stretches out here, and everyday life is forgotten.

We had a fantastic Easter week at House Lucertola. We are a family of 7 and had plenty of space in the very tastefully decorated and cozy house. The rooms are very spacious, with the old beams visible in the upper area, lovely brick floors in the lower area, all the bathrooms are modern, everything is very clean. Thanks! It was always wonderfully warm in March thanks to underfloor heating, and we enjoyed using the open fireplace in the living room in the evenings. The property is a magnificent, huge estate with a massive garden surrounded by cypresses. There are bicycles for children of all ages, table tennis, loungers, and more. This makes it very easy to relax and enjoy a few hours at the holiday home. The family Folchi-Vici lives on the property and is very dedicated to organizing a pleasant stay for the guests. The place is very quiet and idyllic, with a bakery and 2 good restaurants, which are completely sufficient. The nearest larger supermarket can be reached in just under 10 minutes, and Lake Garda is no more than 15 minutes away. We drove to Verona in a good half an hour. By car, this house is the perfect starting point for many excursions and opportunities. A very heartfelt thank you and best regards to the Folchi-Vici family for the wonderful week and their kindness and many efforts!!!

Dream house in a romantic village

The holiday home is very large and spacious and was optimal for our family of five - with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large terrace, and a huge garden. The village of Castellaro Lagusello has excellent infrastructure, and you can quickly reach Lake Garda or Verona. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful time relaxing.

If you want to spend a family holiday far from the hustle and bustle of Lake Garda, this is the right place.
A beautiful house, very tastefully decorated. The outdoor area, the garden, offers a lot of freedom of movement for the children. The owners are great "hosts".
We felt very comfortable all around and would love to come back here.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Die kleine Ortschaft ist sehr hübsch, sehr ruhig. Es gibt einige Restaurants, einen guten Bäcker etc.

free time activities: Am Haus Selber gibt es Fahrräder, eine Tischtennisplatte und ein schöner Grillplatz.
Nicht weit entfernt ist ein öffentliches Schwimmbad und zum Gardasee sind es ca. 15 Minuten

shopping facilities: Vom Haus zum großen Supermarkt sind es 10 Minuten. Dort gibt es alles. Auch tolles Fleisch zum Grillen!!!

Relaxing vacation for the whole family

This vacation exceeded all our expectations. We had initially planned a holiday at Lake Garda. While searching for a large accommodation, we found the holiday home of the Folchi-Vici family on the internet: the impressive property in the idyllic Castellaro Lagusello. Whenever we returned from our trips or from the lake to the holiday home, we felt like we were "coming home". Thanks to the charming landscape, we didn't see the additional distance to Lake Garda as a problem. The accommodation was very well-maintained, spacious, and well-equipped. The large garden was a paradise for us and our children to cool off under the water sprinklers, play soccer, hide, bike. . . . The Folchi-Vici family is very friendly, helpful, and loves children! Thank you! Any time again!

Tolle Ferien

This beautiful house in a huge garden, with everything needed for a great vacation, we highly recommend. There is a very cozy atmosphere "in the air" here, giving you all the opportunities to make good use of your holiday time and it's fun to cook, play, and relax here. Everything is tastefully furnished and very clean. Moreover, the house is located in a very charming area with many opportunities to enjoy it all. Lake Garda is not far away and there are beautiful cycling routes. Thank you for the lovely time.

A very successful vacation.

The house rented by the Folchi-Vici family truly offers everything promised in the advertisement. It is in a very modern, clean, and well-maintained condition, without losing the charm of the original. It truly has everything you need for relaxation. The property is very spacious, so you have your "own kingdom" - we could let our three young children run around without worry on the completely fenced property. The landlords also live on the property and are very friendly and helpful if needed... otherwise, they are rather pleasantly discreet. The place is very quiet and allows for pure relaxation. All things that a tourist's heart desires, such as swimming, hustle and bustle, and sights, can be reached by car in 10-20 minutes!
Conclusion:
AGAIN AND AGAIN!

It was a truly beautiful vacation!

Out of embarrassment, we discovered the hidden gem of Castellaro Lagusello south of Lake Garda as last-minute bookers. And we were very lucky! The property Corte San Giuseppe is very well-maintained, tastefully decorated inside and out, and well-equipped (if you don't need a pool or TV). The host family is very pleasant, sympathetic, friendly, and always helpful. Mrs. Z speaks perfect German. The large garden was at our disposal alone. The small village is located in a beautiful, slightly hilly landscape about 5 km west of Lake Minicio. The good and low-traffic roads and paths around are ideal for cycling and walking. Within walking distance in the beautiful medieval village are two really good restaurants (and other decent gastronomy) as well as a lovely small bakery.

The southern Lake Garda including Bardolino and Garda, Verona, the Mincio Valley, Mantua are easily and relatively quickly accessible by car. How do you say "Happy to return" on eBay?

Summer vacation 2010

We spent two wonderful weeks in this typical country house with our three children. The landlords were very nice and helpful. The equipment of the house was very comfortable. The house was spacious, and all the bathrooms were newly equipped. The terrace was shaded in the mornings, which was very pleasant, while it was flooded with sunlight in the evenings until sunset.
