In Balatongyörök, the rest area "Szépkilátó", located on the main road 71, awaits tourists with a large parking area, wooden benches fitting into the landscape, and shade-giving pine trees. On the other side of the lookout tower, there are restaurants and public toilets for the comfort of weary travelers. Hiking trails lead up to this spot, and the viewpoint is also accessible by bicycle by turning off the bike path. If you are looking for a true water paradise for families and children, then Balatongyörök beach with its long sandy beach, beach bath, and alternating shady and sunny areas is the ideal place for you!
The Africa Museum is located in the village of Balatonederics in the Balatongyörök district.
There is an open-air zoo where you can find not only Hungarian species but also African animals. In addition to hunting and combat equipment, native tools, furniture, and folk art objects, visitors can also admire trophies of African hunters.
