Description

Take a holiday in an old railway station in the Altmark region near Arendsee. To relax, work or for a short break from the daily rhythm of life. The listed reception building from 1921 was completely renovated in 2013. The flat on the 2nd floor was once a dwelling for Reichsbahners who did their duty at the station. The flat is light and comfortably furnished thanks to the old wooden furniture, the refurbished pine floorboards and the light-coloured walls. It has a living room with stove, a bedroom with bed 180x200, a bedroom and study with bed 140x200, a kitchen-living room and a daylight bath for up to 3 persons. From all windows you have a wonderful view into the quiet landscape. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery. The water comes from the own well. It is good to drink, but if necessary you should provide yourself with mineral water.

Location and surroundings of object

The place invites you to retreat for a few days and spend your time at leisure. You can bring your bike and go on wonderful, extensive tours through the northern Altmark.

The railway station is a little out of the way of the village with no neighbouring buildings. The train service was discontinued a few years ago.
Some of the railway equipment is still recognisable; however, nature has almost completely reclaimed the old platforms, the loading road and ramps.
