Description
The unit has a high quality kitchen which is fully equipped. The large bed is a box spring bed, the second is a good quality fold-out sofa bed. All furnishings are high quality, some made by artists, many original old industrial lamps, Eames chairs by Vitra. On the walls hang oil paintings by contemporary Leipzig artists, some of whom are tenants of the property.
Around 30 artists currently work in the studio house.

Location and surroundings of object
The neighbourhood is characterised by old industrial buildings with and without creative uses as well as residential development. The trendy Lindenau/Leutzsch district around Georg-Schwarz-Strasse is nearby. The cotton mill is also not far away. Bakers, other shops, restaurants and a tram stop are just a few minutes' walk away on Georg-Schwarz-Strasse and Merseburger Strasse. Next door is another studio building owned by the same owners, where another 45 artists work.
