Villa Aurelia, located in the picturesque Istrian village of Kunj, is an idyllic family retreat with three bedrooms with a beautiful panoramic view of the greenery and the mountain Učka, only a 15-minute drive from the most beautiful beaches in Istria.
The 145m2 large interior space of Villa Aurelia can accommodate 6 guests in three classic bedrooms on the 1st floor of the villa. The bedrooms are equipped with double beds, and all bedrooms have their own bathroom with shower and other bathroom accessories, as well as their own air conditioning. The ground floor of Villa Aurelia consists of one large open space with a kitchen, dining room and living room and a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with all kitchen appliances and utensils for preparing delicious meals that you can enjoy in the luxurious dining room for 6 people. The living room is equipped with a large comfortable sofa, satellite television, creating a perfect space for entertaining the whole family.
The large outdoor area with olive trees has a beautiful private outdoor pool with internal steps, surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. From the pool, guests will have a wonderful view of the surroundings full of greenery and clear skies. Furthermore, the terrace has an outdoor dining area with a barbecue for those who enjoy eating in the fresh air.

Villa Aurelia is 10 km from Labin, a medieval town on a hill above Rabac, near large green areas suitable for numerous outdoor activities, tasting top local wines, cuisine and visiting restaurants that will make your stay more than pleasant. Beautiful beaches are located a short drive from the villa in the vicinity of Rabac. You will be not far from the main sights of Istria, Kvarner and Gorski kotar. Visit the beautiful city of Opatija, the Roman Coliseum 'Arena' in Pula, the authentic Mediterranean and beautiful old towns on the Istrian coast such as Rovinj, Vrsar, Poreč, Umag, the medieval towns of Hum, Motovun, Grožnjan and the islands of Brijuni (National Park, exotic outdoor animals and golf resort), Cres, Lošinj and many others.

Take a walk along the 40 km long Labin mountain trail from the lighthouse on the Crna punta cape and Skitača, the southernmost points of the Labin peninsula, through the historic Labin and Ripenda, which rises above the "guard" Rabac, the picturesque Plomin and Sisol, the highest peak from Plominska gora to Brseč. Every April, the traditional trekking Long Walk Day is held on this route, organized by the Mountaineering Club Skitaci from Labin. In addition to hiking on Skitač for Easter, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Lucia in December, the International Walking Day is also celebrated in October.
In October, enjoy the Valamar Trail racing races around the beautiful surroundings of Rabac and Labin on marked tracks consisting of four different races, of different lengths, intended for everyone, from top trail runners to recreationalists.
Explore and discover the cycling paradise of Labinština on five cycling routes with a total length of 240 km. The Bella Vista cycling route (33 km) will take you from Skitača - the highest point of Labinština to the old town of Labin. The terana route (km) in honor of the Istrian wine of the same name takes you along the Labin wine road, while the Clear-eyed Lucia route (km) tells the story of St. Lucia on Skitača. The Istrian Demarcation (51 km) is dedicated to one of the most important Croatian medieval documents found in Kršan, and the Liburnian Route (67 km) introduces the local history of mining and the town of Raša, the youngest town in Istria.
In May, don't miss the Valamar Terra Magica international cycling race with different lengths of tracks, from the most difficult race of 75 km to a recreational race for children and family cycling. All races start and end in Rabac, where the Allegro Valamar 4* bike hotel offers plenty of recreational and cycling facilities for cycling enthusiasts. Different types of bicycles are available for rent in several places in Rabac and Labin.
From Plomin Bay to Cape Crna Punta, the underwater world is known for the wealth of the underwater world of the Kvarner Bay and diving attractions - sunken shipwrecks in the Vela vrata channel. In 1914, the merchant steamer Lina ran aground on the coast of Cape Pečen near Cres, and the cargo steamer Vis sleeps in the depths of Cape Mašnjak at the entrance to Plomin Bay. The underwater area near Girandella beach delights with its great depth, many stone cascades and cracks with corals and sponges. The waters around Cape Babino at the end of the Rabac bay are known for gorgonians and sponges. The walls of Sveta Marina are a favorite place for divers thanks to three large reefs that descend directly from the beach up to 55 meters into the open sea, which enables diving even when the weather does not allow sailing by boat.
You can learn to dive in Rabac, in the Girandella diving center on one of Rabac's most beautiful pebble beaches with the Blue Flag or in Maslinica bay near Oliva camp.

Beautiful house, located away from it all
We were four people (2 adults and two teenagers, 14 and 16 years old) in the villa. The house and the pool are very spacious. There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. So our teenage boys each had their own realm. In the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and outside, everything you need is available. There are three identical houses in a row. This is the one all the way to the right from the parking lot. The properties are separated from each other by a hedge. So you have your privacy. The villa is nice but soulless. You can tell that it was not built with love. The village of Kunj feels like it consists only of holiday homes. There is nothing else there. The village is remote, but we already knew that. Kunj is located at the end of a single-lane road and you can reach Labin (for shopping, for example) in about 15 minutes and Rabac (beach) in about 30 minutes by car. Labin has a beautiful old town and is worth a visit. In Rabac, there are very nice beaches with clean, clear water.
The service upon arrival/departure was fine. We only had contact via WhatsApp/phone. The pool is cleaned once a week. However, the bed linen and towels are not. We then washed the towels ourselves in the washing machine.
Overall, definitely recommendable. You just have to be aware that you can't walk anywhere useful in a reasonable amount of time.

Better than expected.
We spent two weeks with four people and a dog in the house, and it was the first holiday home in a long time that we had no complaints about the equipment or cleanliness. What you need to know is that it is very remote, but we rented it for that reason, because you have peace and quiet there and a beautiful uninterrupted view of the green mountains from the terrace. You can easily reach Labin and the coast by car.
