Description

Welcome to the Harz-Auszeit holiday home.
Enjoy the peace and quiet, the fresh air, far away from the hustle and bustle and stress of everyday life - immerse yourself in your time out.

We renovated and modernised our holiday home in spring 2020.
Families with children are very welcome. Our cottage is also ideal for a holiday with a dog

The winter garden is located in the entrance area. It is equipped with rattan furniture and offers space for 4 people. Here you can make yourself comfortable in summer and winter and watch nature

The living room is equipped with a corner couch, which can also be converted into a sofa bed, and an armchair. Everyone will find a place in front of the large flat-screen TV with sound system by the cosy open fire. Furthermore, there is a separate dining table and a bar with bar stools.

In the small kitchen with kitchenette you will find a ceramic cooker with oven, microwave and dishwasher. The fridge with freezer compartment offers enough space for your shopping. In the morning you can enjoy your coffee from the fully automatic coffee machine.

The holiday home is furnished with a bright, friendly bedroom, with double bed and bunk bed for children.

The bathroom is equipped with shower and toilet and offers many storage possibilities. A towel radiator provides cosy warmth.

In the garden you will find various seating options from which you have a beautiful view of the village and the Selketal railway. A barbecue and a fire bowl are available next to the holiday home. Wood is available in the shed and you are welcome to use it.

In addition to a swing, there is also a tree house on the property. This can of course be explored by the little and big adventurers. If you are really brave, you can even spend a night on the sleeping loft of the tree house.

Location and surroundings of object

The small town of Straßberg is a former mining village and awaits its visitors with the "Grube Glasebach" exhibition mine.
From the Straßberg railway station you can take a ride on the steam-powered Selketalbahn to the beautiful Harz Mountains. The Selketalstieg trail, a popular hiking trail, also runs along here.
If you are feeling peckish after a hike or an excursion, our landlady in the "Bergschänke" is just the place for you.

Dreamlike accommodation

From the first moment, it was a dream vacation. The holiday home is in top condition. Very tastefully and lovingly furnished. Nothing is missing. Even our dog benefited from the lovely host parents, whom we unfortunately didn't see. The entire property with the treehouse, swings, and the many trees... simply beautiful. These hosts can only be recommended, as you can tell that everything is made with a lot of love. Once again, a big thank you and we know we will be happy to return.

Pure relaxation

A great, very well-equipped holiday home in an absolutely quiet location. A large, fully fenced property where our dog could move freely. Right behind the house, the hiking trails start, which we extensively used. After that, a cozy evening by the wood stove. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. My husband, our dog, and I were thrilled and would love to come back again.

Privacy in the Harz Mountains

The property of Harz Auszeit is wonderfully secluded and offers peace and togetherness.
No wish is left unfulfilled: fireplace, conservatory, large television, modern kitchen, fire pit, grill, bicycle room, a covered illuminated seating area or a bench under trees with a view of the village.
The grounds are lovingly and thoughtfully equipped. Various hiking trails and attractions can be reached within 30 minutes by car (Hexentanzplatz). Everything is in good, clean condition!
We will gladly come back :-)

Holiday in autumn

Hello, we spent a week in the autumn holidays at the house "Auszeit" and this name is more than justified!!!! Peace, peace and peace again!!!! The boys could romp endlessly and we didn't have to constantly watch them!!!! We didn't have to be out and about all the time, just staying there for a day, reading and letting the little ones run around, all no problem!!!! With the wonderful stove, even cold evenings were cozy!!!! Great furnishings and clean!!!! We can only recommend it and if it works out somehow, we would love to come back!!!!!

Lovely cottage in a secluded location - great for dogs!

We enjoyed our stay with our two dogs very much. Thanks to the great secluded location, they could run freely everywhere on the property and the surrounding area.

A beautiful house in a great secluded location.

The house is clean and very comfortably furnished. The property is very large and offers plenty of space to unfold and relax. Super relaxing time in the middle of nature

Great holiday home with a superb location. Just relax, have nobody around, and lots of things for kids to discover on this wonderful property. Everything you could wish for, free use of wood and welcome gifts in the minibar. The mattresses were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Furthermore, all electronic devices are of very high quality, which impressed us a lot. We most enjoyed sitting in front of the campfire in the evenings, baking stick bread or simply enjoying the evening atmosphere. Everything was just wonderful. It is also very nice that there are different wines and other drinks available on site that you can purchase by putting money in the treasure chest. And the landlords are simply top-notch! Thank you for this wonderful accommodation.

If you are looking for tranquility, this is the right place!

Often, the pictures on the portals are more beautiful than the actual object. That is definitely NOT the case here! It is just as beautiful as it appears in the photos.

Top holiday cottage!

The house is secluded and quiet in nature and yet lacks nothing. The garden is very large and well equipped with seating options. The cabin itself also surprises with excellent facilities and cleanliness. We were able to spend a great long weekend in the Harz-Auszeit. Pure relaxation. The arrival was possible contactless and very uncomplicated.
