Description

In this old captain's house, which we completely renovated in the spring of 2020, two new, bright, modern, and cozy vacation apartments with a maritime flair have been created.
The smoke-free and pet-free ground floor apartment has a separate back entrance, two bedrooms each with a double bed and exterior blinds.
All bedroom windows are equipped with fly screens.
From both rooms, you enjoy a magnificent view of the yacht harbor and over the Harle. The white bedroom "Ocean" includes an additional flat-screen TV on the wall.
Furthermore, the apartment consists of a hallway with a wardrobe, a large bathroom with toilet and a walk-in rain shower, an additional guest toilet, a kitchen with its own terrace door and a view of the garden, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee maker, water and egg cooker, toaster, blender, dining table with four chairs, CD/radio, living room with a comfortable sofa and large flat-screen TV/DVD. Free Wi-Fi
There is a large lawn with seating and lounges available in the garden.
There is also a lockable shelter for bicycles.
Free car parking is available directly in front of the house.
A second car parking space for an additional car would also be available for a fee of 10 € per week.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is located in the best location of Harlesiel, only a short distance from the marina, the ferry pier, and the dyke crossing to the outer harbor and bathing beach. With just a few steps, you can reach the pier of the paddle steamer "Concordia II". Combined with a small boat tour, you have the opportunity to explore the idyllic museum harbor of Carolinensiel with its historical flat-bottomed sailboats. Leave your car at the accommodation and use the "carobahn", which is free for North Sea Service Card holders, to go to Carolinensiel or to take a tour. The nearest stops from the apartment are located at the bakery or at the beach. The train runs from April 14th to October 31st, daily from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In just a few minutes' walk, you can reach the nearest restaurant and the bakery. Here you can buy fresh rolls and delicious cakes during the season.

In the town center of Carolinensiel, you'll find restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, banks, doctors (general practitioners and dentists), a hairdresser, and several shops for strolling, souvenirs, maritime gifts, and everything for beach equipment.
During the season, there is a weekly market every Tuesday at the Museum Harbor.

Of course, you can also walk the approximately 2 km distance to the town center. Along the beautiful Harle promenade, there is much to discover, such as the view of the new "Seeperlen" (stilt houses), the sailing school "Harlesail" with trial sailing trips, the historic lifeboat shed, the Friedrichsschleuse, Cliner Quelle (with swimming pool, sauna, fitness, wellness, and restaurant), cafes, restaurants, Siel-hafenmuseum with the Old Parsonage and National Park House. Along the roadside, you will find several benches for resting, and you can also refresh yourself with a fish sandwich from the coastal smokehouse.

Also located just a few minutes' walk from the holiday home is the outer harbor of Harlesiel. There, excursions such as to the seal banks are offered. From the newly opened "Wattkieker" restaurant in 2014, you have a beautiful view of the harbor and the island ferries, and in clear weather, also of the East Frisian Islands Wangerooge, Spiekeroog, and Langeoog. With some luck, you might meet a shrimp fisherman at the harbor and watch as the fresh catch is unloaded (currently not possible).

Next, we head to the sandy beach. Here you have the option to rent a beach chair to relax in the sun, sheltered from the wind, or to visit the newly completed adventure golf course "Wattengolf". At each mini-golf course, there are information signs that explain interesting facts about the Wadden Sea.

During a walk along the beach promenade, you can enjoy the view of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site (mind the tides) and breathe in the salty sea air. Harlesiel also offers a heated outdoor swimming pool and a sunbathing lawn.

Seven Krotzenburgers in Harlesiel

The apartment Scholle is tastefully furnished, has a good location, and "everything" is easily accessible. Our hostess, Mrs. Schimmelpfennig, welcomed us very kindly as always.

Best location - great apartment

We were allowed to be guests in the Scholle apartment for 14 days and felt extremely comfortable. In good weather, there is a large garden with a terrace and a beach chair (with weatherproof cushions ;-) ) available. In drearier weather, a reading afternoon can be spent very well in the excellently equipped and cozy apartment. From the tealight to the accompanying lighter, to plenty of cushions and wool blankets, and the tasteful decoration to the slatted frame in the comfortable beds, everything is included to spend a truly lovely time. Not to forget, of course, the location - through the garden in 2 minutes to the beach / dike or just as quickly out front via the stairs located at the Concordia jetty. We brought the bicycles, which had a good shelter in a separate shed. If something is available again, we would love to come back :-).

Our most beautiful vacation rental

The location of the apartment has allowed us to take a beach walk at any time. 5 minutes from the sea.
The apartment itself is very cozy and tastefully furnished. The separation of the kitchen and living room has many advantages when cooking for oneself.
We felt very comfortable and will come back next year. Mrs. Schimmelpfennig is a very nice and attentive landlord.

Short break in the Scholle apartment

I have now been in the apartment "Scholle" for the second time, once with my granddaughter in March and now for a short vacation with my husband. The apartment is very nicely decorated and cozy. Everything you need is there and it is very clean. I also think the location of the apartment is great, you can walk through the garden at the back and immediately be on top of the dike. My granddaughter also loved looking out the window to see when the paddle steamer arrives. The jetty is right in front of the house. Anyway, I know that I would love to come back again. Many thanks to Mrs. Schimmelpfennig for this great apartment and the excellent service.

Very nice apartment!

We stayed in the apartment Scholle for a week. It is a very nice apartment, decorated with a lot of love. The landlady is very friendly and warm. You can walk to the beach through the garden, up the dike, and you're already there. We had a great time and will definitely go back to this apartment. Simply fantastic!

What more do you wish for on vacation than to feel at home.

This is exactly the feeling you get in this house or in the lower apartment. We, as a family of three, were able to spend a week there and were simply thrilled. It started with the very well-equipped apartment with numerous nice details, the fantastic location, and the beautiful garden, and ended with a very open-minded, helpful, and extremely nice landlord family. Feel-good apartment ?

My husband and I were in the apartment for the first time and certainly not the last time!
The apartment is tastefully decorated with love. Nothing is missing!
The garden and the terrace with a beach chair make the apartment perfect.

Eine Woche im Haus Poseidon

We spent a week in the lower apartment of Haus Poseidon! The equipment was very good! The layout of the apartment was also great! The garden was especially nice for children to play in! The Wadden Sea took some getting used to for us! The beach was clean and not too crowded! Ideal for a family with two children aged between 4 and 12 years!

Holiday at the Poseidon House

The holiday season is a highlight in the yearly calendar. You look forward to it, plan, and consider how and what - and then: "Hello, here's Corona! I will now regulate the vacation." We were forced to adapt to this. Our great fortune was that we were able to spend time in the wonderful holiday apartment "Scholle" in the Poseidon House. An apartment where holiday feelings set in from the beginning. Everything fit. Whether it was the optimally equipped kitchen or the bathroom, or the other rooms. You entered and felt at home. Tolle Ferienwohnung

We spent 10 days of vacation in this beautiful holiday apartment with our 3 children (10 years, 7 years, and 11 months). The location is excellent, right by the harbor, and the beach and a large playground are reachable within a 5-minute walk. The apartment is very modern and equipped with everything you need! A high chair for children, a crib, a changing mat, and even a play carpet are available. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the other 3 rooms were decorated very tastefully. The shower room was a personal highlight for us! Everything was very clean and comfortable! The landlords are incredibly nice and helpful! We will definitely come back! ! !

TOP - always happy to come back

We found a high-quality, very clean apartment. There was already an exceptional basic supply of toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc. You don't need to bring all of that with you. The location is unique, located directly behind the dyke at the marina. In the secluded garden, you can enjoy the sun or have a nice barbecue evening on the existing grill. The landlords are very nice and have great excursion tips. The owner of the house drives the last fishing boat in the harbor and provided us with fresh crabs, simply delicious. We will come back!
