Description
In this old captain's house, which was completely renovated by us in spring 2020, two new, bright, modern and comfortably furnished holiday flats with maritime flair have been created.
The smoke- and pet-free upper flat "Krabbe" can be reached via a staircase and consists of a bedroom with a double bed and a walk-in wardrobe with plenty of storage space. The bedroom window has an external blind and is equipped with a fly screen. From here you have a wonderful view over the Harle, the "Seeperlen" and the marina, single or children's bedroom (if necessary with cot and high chair), hallway with wardrobe, daylight bathroom with shower and WC and kitchen-cum-living room, consisting of kitchenette with 4-burner ceramic hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, coffee machine, water and egg boiler and toaster as well as a cosy sofa corner with flat-screen TV/DVD and CD/radio.
From the kitchen-cum-living-room you have access to a sunny balcony with a view into the garden and towards the "Wattkieker".
In the garden, there is a large lawn with seating and loungers at your disposal.
There is also lockable storage space for bicycles.
A free parking space is located directly in front of the house.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is in a prime location in Harlesiel, not far from the marina, ferry landing stage and dike crossing to the outer harbour and bathing beach. It is only a few steps to the landing stage of the paddle steamer "Concordia II". Combined with a small boat tour, you have the opportunity to explore the idyllic museum harbour of Carolinensiel with its historic flat-bottomed sailing boats.
Leave your car at your accommodation and use the "carobahn", which is free of charge for Nordsee-Servicecard holders, to travel to Carolinensiel or take a round trip. The nearest stops from the holiday flat are at the bakery or on the beach. The train runs daily from 14 April to 31 October from 11.00 - 17.00.
In just a few minutes' walk you can reach the nearest restaurant and bakery. Here you can buy fresh bread rolls and delicious cakes in season.
In the centre of Carolinensiel you will find restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, banks, the harbour pharmacy, doctors (general practitioner and dentist), hairdresser and several shops for strolling, souvenirs, maritime gifts and everything for beach equipment.
In the season, the weekly market takes place every Tuesday at the museum harbour.
Of course, you can also walk the approx. 2 km to the centre of the village. There is much to discover along the beautiful Harle promenade, such as the view of the new "Seeperlen" (houses built on stilts), sailing school "Harlesail" with taster trips, historic sea rescue shed, the Friedrichsschleuse, Cliner Quelle (with swimming pool, sauna, fitness, wellness and restaurant), cafés, restaurants,
Sielhafen Museum with Old Pastorei and National Park House.
Along the way you will find a number of benches to rest on, and you can also enjoy a fish roll from the coastal smokehouse in between.
The outer harbour of Harlesiel is also only a few minutes' walk from the holiday home. Excursions are offered there, such as to the seal banks. From the restaurant "Wattkieker", newly opened in 2014, you have a beautiful view of the harbour and the island ferries and, on a clear day, also of the East Frisian islands of Wangerooge, Spiekeroog and Langeoog. If you are lucky, you will meet the last active crab fisherman of Harlesiel in the harbour and can watch the fresh catch being unloaded.
Continue on to the sandy beach. Here you can rent a beach chair to relax in the sun, sheltered from the wind, or visit the recently completed "Wattengolf" adventure golf course. There are information signs at each miniature golf course explaining interesting facts about the Wadden Sea.
During a walk along the beach promenade, you can enjoy the view of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site (note the tides) and breathe in the salty sea air.
Furthermore, Harlesiel offers a heated outdoor swimming pool and a sunbathing lawn.

Dream flat behind the dyke
We were allowed to move into the flat "Krabbe" for 6 days....
Even earlier than originally planned.... thank you for the great communication.
The flat is comfortably furnished and lacks nothing....
Even an egg cooker and egg cutter were in the kitchen.
If you think something is missing (like an oven in another review)....
should read the description of the furnishings properly....
For me, something like this is incomprehensible.
Thank you to Mrs Schimmelpfennig and we will see you again...

Zweite Heimat Harlesiel
Seit 1996 kommen wir nach Harlesiel. Wir haben uns vom alten Yachthafen nach vorne zum Deich gekämpft. Nun haben wir endlich die richtige FW gefunden. Bei Ihnen Frau Schimmelpfennig ist es traumhaft schön hier bleiben wir. Ich kann mich nur den vorherigen Bewertungen anschließen. Alles ist harmonisch und schön eingerichtet, eben mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Wir haben schon gebucht für Mai 2023, das sagt alles.

Ferienwohnung Haus Krabbe
Wir waren im September für 10 Tage in der wunderschönen Wohnung und haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt.
Die Wohnung ist wunderbar hell, modern und sehr zweckmaßig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an NICHTS.

Wir empfehlen diese Wohnung/Ferienhaus 100% weiter.

Super FeWo in perfekter Lage
Wir waren im Sommer für eine Woche dort. Die FeWo liegt direkt am Hafen. Alles sehr schön und modern renoviert. Der Strand selbst war auch nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub und können die FeWo nur weiterempfehlen.

Haus Poseidon, Wohnung "Krabbe"
Im komplett neu sanierten Haus mit 2 Wohnungen, direkt am Deich gelegen, haben wir 14 Tage einen wunderschönen Urlaub erlebt. Die geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung im 1. Stock lud wahrlich zum Wohlfühlen ein. Helle Räume. Einen schönen Blick hatten wir vom Schlafzimmer aus auf den Yachthafen. der begehbare Kleiderschrank bot viel Platz. Den schönen, mit Holz ausgelegten Balkon, haben wir sehr viel genutz. Wunderbar ! Wir hatten morgens Sonne zum Frühstück und später wieder Nachmittags- und Abendsonne. Viele wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge konnten wir beobachten, weil wir so nah am Strand wohnten. Die Lage ist perfekt. Auf jeden Fall ein sehr schönes Feriendomizil, das wir wirklich empfehlen können. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.

Reinkommen und Wohlfühlen
Es war eine wunderschöne Zeit in der Dachgeschosswohnung. Wir kamen rein und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt alles ist mit viel Liebe dekoriert und es fehlte an nichts. Das Kinderzimmer ist ein Traum und mit einem Spielteppisch und genügend Platz. Das Schlafzimmer hat eine Ankleide mit sehr sehr viel Platz und auch für unsere kleinste war ein Gitterbett da. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und ein geosser Tisch für 4 mit Kinderhochstuhl vorhanden. Auf dem Balkom kann man wunderbar entspannen und die Seele mal baumeln lassen. Für Fahrräder gibt es einen kleinen Schuppen der abschliessbar ist.
In nur 5 Minuten erreicht man den Strand und den Hafen. Der Strand ist schön sauber und bietet genügend Platz zum buddeln.
Bei Fragen konnten wir jederzeit bei Frau Schimmelpfennig klingeln und bekamen immer eine Auskunft.
Radfahren ist auch kein Problem da nicht weit weg von Haus der Radweg lang führt.
Für uns ein wunderschöner Urlaub in einer wunderschönen Unterkunft. Wir kommen wieder.
