Description

In the former fishing village of Balm, you will find our Piratenkoje holiday home on a beautiful idyllic garden plot surrounded by trees, shrubs and flowering plants
The house offers space for up to 3 people.

There is one bedroom
a living room with double sofa bed, with open kitchen, electric fireplace, dining area, sitting area, shower/WC, terrace with barbecue and garden furniture.
You can already enjoy breakfast on the terrace in the morning sun.

From the terrace you can watch passing swans, wild geese, eagles and seagulls.

The imperial resorts of Bansin, Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck can be reached in about 10 minutes by car, where you can explore the 40km long fine sandy beach.

Or you can explore the island on the
well-developed cycle paths.

Due to the central location of Balm, you have an ideal starting point to reach the island in all directions.

If you are an angler, the Achterwasser is a great place to indulge in your hobby

Small fine vacation apartment

The Pirate Cabin is a small holiday house where nothing is missing. In the beautiful garden, there are two more holiday houses. Those seeking peace and relaxation are exactly right here. In Balm, there are two restaurants (we recommend the Italian), and more dining options are available in Neppermin.

October holidays Pirate's cabin

The 3 cottages are very very beautiful and lovingly cozy furnished.
It is nice that each cottage has its own plot. Beautifully landscaped.
If you need peace and quiet, you will find it here. Ideal for nature lovers.
Very very nice landlords. We will come back.

Pirate's cabin - small vacation house in beautiful garden

We felt very comfortable in this small holiday home and with the very nice landlords. The cottage is very quiet on a beautiful garden plot and very close to the Achterwasser and many other excursion possibilities on the island of Usedom. Overall, a highly recommended vacation accommodation!

Pirate's Bunk Balm, Fam. Zwanzig

This is the fourth time we have stayed with the Zwanzig family. We have already spent our holidays in two of the three holiday homes and it was always nice. The houses are lovingly furnished and very clean. You can also feel how much heart Fam. Zwanzig puts into the outdoor facilities to ensure comfort and well-being. Everything's fine!

The pirate's bunk is very lovingly furnished, the landlords are very nice and it is only a few metres to the water. The property itself radiates a lot of love.
Balm and the surrounding area are less overrun with tourists than, for example, Bansin and Ahlbeck, but no less beautiful. It is wonderfully quiet and you can reach a lot by bike. A real treat if you want to get away from the stress. Also great for singles.
I will definitely come here again.

Peace & tranquility in a quaint garden

A pretty, little cottage in the completely quiet village of Balm in a protected location next to the house, away from the road (not heavily trafficked), separated by bushes and other things, with a beautiful view into the detailed garden. 2 more cottages in the garden within sight, but one mostly lives in privacy. Parking protected behind the large hedge. We occasionally met the nice and quiet owners and were able to ask questions.

It is perfect and neat for 2 people. Everything you need is there. Small kitchenette with 2-burner induction hob, extractor hood; good dishwasher; coffee machine with thermal carafe!; kettle; nice sink; clean refrigerator... You may want to bring some extras, like we did with our egg cooker.

Large windows in the living area (you live "in" the garden) with a blackout roller blind and curtain in the evening.
A few books, 1 folder with flyers+tips, hooks for jackets, floor lamp, a powerful electric fireplace for the cold, blankets, and a nicely covered veranda in front of it. We found it cozy and comfortable!

The bed is great - the mattresses not too firm / not too soft. Pillows filled with a kind of cotton balls. Not everyone may like that. We brought our own.
There are nice shelves and clothes hangers on clothes airers (great idea), nightstands with floor lamps, a large frosted glass window with roller blinds.

The bathroom is the highlight. Small but nice. Flat shower, large showerhead, curtain that does not stick and dries quickly, large beautiful sink, great mirror, towel warmer, window. Beautiful!

Most things can be easily reached by car (recommended in Balm). Bansin is 7km away (plenty of parking for a fee). If you don't have to live directly by the sea and love peace and quiet, this is the right place for you. The Achterwasser is a few meters away across the street (reeds), an Italian restaurant + steakhouse (golf hotel) nearby. Fish restaurant 3km away: great!
Shopping is better in/near Bansin, but there are also private eggs and jam available nearby.

Ein hübsches, kleines Häuschen im völlig ruhigen Örtchen Balm in beschützter Lage beim Haus, weg von der Straße (wenig befahren) , durch Sträucher u.a. getrennt, mit schönem Blick in den detailreichen Garten. 2 weitere Häuschen im Garten in Sichtweite, man wohnt jedoch weitgehend für sich. Parken geschützt hinter der großen Hecke. Die netten und ruhigen Eigentümer trafen wir ab und an und konnten auch mal Fragen zu stellen. Es ist für 2 Personen perfekt und ordentlich. Soweit alles da was man braucht. Kl. Küchenzeile mit 2-Pl. Induktionsfeld, Dunstabzug; gute Spülmaschine; Kaffeemaschine mit Wärmekanne!; Wasserkocher; schöne Spüle; sauberer Kühlschrank .. Extras sollte man ggf. mitbringen - wie wir unseren Eierkocher. Große Fenster im Wohnraum (man wohnt "im" Garten) mit Rollo u. Vorhang am Abend blickdicht. Ein paar Bücher, 1 Ordner mit Flyern+Tips, Haken für Jacken, Stehlampe, für Verfrorene ein leistungsfähiger el. Kaminofen, Decken und eine toll überdachte Veranda davor. Wir fanden es gemütlich und fühlten uns wohl! Das Bett ist super - die Matratzen nicht zu fest / nicht zu weich. Kissen mit einer Art Watteklümpchen gefüllt. Das mag vielleicht nicht jeder. Wir hatten unsere dabei. Es gibt nette Regale u. Kleiderbügel auf Kleiderlüftern (super Idee), Nachttische m. Stehlampen, ein großes Milchglasfenster mit Rollos. Das Bad ist das Schmuckstück. Klein aber fein. Ebene Dusche, große Brause, Vorhang der nicht ! klebt u. schnell trocknet, großes schönes Waschbecken, toller Spiegel, Handtuchwärmer, Fenster. Schön! Das Meiste ist per Auto (in Balm empfehlenswert) gut erreichbar. Bansin 7km (genug Parkplätze gg. Gebühr) . Wer nicht direkt an der See wohnen muß und Ruhe liebt, ist hier richtig. Das Achterwasser ist wenige Meter über die Straße entfernt (Schilf), ein Italiener + Steakhaus (Golfhotel) i.d. Nähe. Fischrestaurant 3km: super! Einkaufen eher in/bei Bansin, doch i.d. Nähe gibt es v. privat Eier u. Marmelade. Viel Freude und schönen Urlaub !
