In the harbor village of Vieregge you will find relaxation with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Several harbors on the Bodden are easily accessible from the small harbor. Boats and boat moorings can be rented at the harbor (100 m). You can swim and surf at the harbor village's natural swimming area. The fish-rich waters are ideal for fishing. The Bodden is an ideal area for all types of water sports and is also very popular with anglers. Just a few kilometers from Vieregge is the Schaabe, a 12-kilometer-long spit that, with its fine sand, is considered one of the most beautiful bathing beaches in Rügen. Opposite Vieregge is the island of Hiddensee, which can be reached by ferry from Schaprode.
