Neukalen is located directly on the beautiful river Peene, which flows just a few kilometers further into Lake Kummerow. The small town was first mentioned as Altkalen in 1174 and has been called Neukalen since 1306. Accordingly, you will find historical sights such as the circular settlement planning in the old town or the parish church of St. John from the year 1318. There are various restaurants and inns to stop off and also plenty of shopping opportunities for self-sufficiency.Highlights included: Usage-based energy costs, bed linen, towels and final cleaningWLAN activities in nearby: Bring your bikes and enjoy the approximately four-hour bike ride around Lake Kummerow. You will not only discover the charm of the slightly hilly landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland. Be sure to also take a break in Malchin. In addition to the beautiful market square and the remarkable German avenue, numerous monuments, churches and a museum await you.
