Holiday home in Tyrol on the Pillberg in the Karwendel Silver Region, at 1160 m with a wonderful view of the Inn Valley and the Karwendel Mountains, quiet location on the edge of the forest, away from any hustle and bustle, very beautiful hiking and skiing area, toboggan run (toboggan rental), free skiing lessons for children aged 4 - 12, free bus to the lift (3 km), flexible arrival day.

Our holiday home is located 8 km from Schwaz in the Inn valley on the Pillberg at 1160m. It is situated on a slope above a wooden hut (occasionally occupied by family members) in a secluded location directly on the edge of the forest on a side road used only by local residents. There are approx. 30 m of steps leading to the house. The next building is a farmhouse about 200m away.
The location is sunny from late morning until sunset. The view into the Inn valley and the surrounding mountains is beautiful.
Nearby (o,5 - 3 km) there are alpine inns with swimming pool and restaurant, 3 km to the Kellerjochbahn (bus stop approx. 300 m ), parking - free for cable car users.
It is a not too big but very nice skiing area with a wonderful panoramic view. There is a toboggan run from the top station of the Kellerjochbahn (Gasthaus Hecher) to the valley station (Grafenast - car park). Toboggans can be rented at the valley station.
The Kellerjoch Ski School offers ski courses (free for children aged 4-12), and the area is also ideal for ski touring. In summer - beautiful hiking area around the "Kellerjoch", mountain bike trails, alpine pasture hikes as far as the Zillertal (Hochfügen), very popular is also the alpine inn "Loas" - approx. 1 hr. hike from the car park on the Pillbergstraße, famous for its good Wienerschnitzel. in winter there is a beautiful toboggan run.
Schwaz in the Inn valley (lies at 540m, 25 km east of Innsbruck), there are numerous shopping facilities (large shopping centre), sights - silver mine, planetarium, Freundsberg castle with local history museum, beautiful adventure outdoor swimming pool.
Surroundings of Schwaz: gorge hike through the Wolfsklamm to the pilgrimage church "Georgenberg", Tratzberg Castle near Stans (guided tours also for children), beautiful bathing lake near Terfens, approx. 25 min. to Wattens - "Kristallwelten", 30 min. to Innsbruck, to the Zillertal (large and beautiful skiing areas) and to the Achensee (swimming, water sports, boat trips, hiking, skiing), 40 min. to the Reintal Lakes near Kramsach (bathing lakes, farmhouse museum),
60 min. to South Tyrol, 90 min. to Salzburg and Munich.

Cute little house in a very quiet location
The house is located very quietly on a sunny mountain with breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley. The sunny terrace can also be used in winter. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the interior is rustic. We particularly liked the small ski area. The landlords are very warm and helpful.

Holiday home a dream
The cottage on the Pillberg is very idyllic on the hillside. We have already been there twice over Christmas and I must say it is a dream. The view, the snow and the peace, simply fantastic. Comfortably furnished and all the utensils you need are there. By car you can be on the ski slope or in the valley in a few minutes
Mrs Knapp is a warm and touching landlady. Thank you for this wonderful time.

pretty holiday house in a sunny, quiet location
We spent a wonderful week in Pillberg with six people. The house, with its 3 bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and sunny terrace, is perfect for a family. Pure tranquility, stunning views - high up above the valley on a south-facing slope and close to the Pillberg ski area, it is a great place for a winter vacation. The ski bus departs just a few minutes away, and ski lessons for children are free. It takes just over 30 minutes by car to get to Innsbruck or the major ski areas in the Zillertal. The landlady provided us with all the important information and was helpful in every way. We will gladly come back.

Super price/performance
Cosy accommodation, great location, 10 minutes by car to the ski slope or 5 minutes by foot to the ski bus.
3 separate bedrooms, 1 living room with kitchenette, 1 bathroom and separate toilet.
Very nice view of Innsbruck, house on a slope, quiet and idyllic location.

Urgemütlich
We stayed as guests for a week of ski vacation with two adults and two children. Despite very good equipment and a family atmosphere, it had a touch of "back-to-basic" - in the most positive sense! 10 minutes by car to the Kellerjoch ski area, of course a bit longer to Schwaz, but in return, the seclusion from hustle and bustle and hotel tourism, amidst nature, with a magnificent view of the valley (to Innsbruck). We enjoyed it very much! Thank you for the wonderful time!
