At holiday park De Toekomst you will find this fantastic holiday home. From the cottage you have a great view of an authentic piece of Ouddorp, de Stelleweg. A picturesque street with agriculture in the background. Take your bike and cycle along the great cycle paths that lead you along all the special paths in Ouddorp. And don't forget, within 10 minutes you can reach the North Sea beach and also the charming centre of Ouddorp.
The house is tastefully furnished! Here you can enjoy a wonderful evening with your family or partner. The open plan kitchen is equipped with all amenities, such as a combi microwave and dishwasher. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. Considering that there are 5 beds, there is also the possibility to stay overnight with five persons. There is also room for a baby extra bed, which is available in the house.
From the kitchen, you come directly to the wonderful "Beachgarden" which provides a grandiose holiday feeling. Relax in the lounge set, unwind on the deck chairs, play a game at the garden table or enjoy a picnic at the picnic table. The garden is completely closed, so you don't have to worry about your children or dog. The swing and the sandbox provide for optimal children's entertainment in the garden. In the house there are also various games available.

Location and surroundings of object
Ouddorp's most famous building is probably "Het Blaeuwe Huus" (the blue house), the current VVV office. You will find it on many postcards and on one of the famous works of Rien Poortvliet. But did you know that there used to be several blue houses - "Blaeuwe Huusjes" - in the village? Farms in Ouddorp were painted blue in the past. The blue colour was to keep away flies attracted by the cattle in the adjacent yard. By painting the house in blue, the residents allegedly had less problems with flies.
Ouddorp is situated at the tip of the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, the southernmost part of the province of Zuid-Holland. In 2007 Ouddorp was voted "best seaside resort in the Netherlands" by the daily newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. Not without reason, because the village extends over more than 4 kilometres and is situated in a unique landscape. Goeree-Overflakkee, with the municipality of the same name, is connected to the island of Schouwen-Duiveland in Zeeland by the Brouwers Dam and the Grevelingen Dam, both well-known hotspots for active (water) sportsmen.
There are wide and clean sandy beaches with almost deserted dune areas. You will find extensive polders and nature reserves, which makes Goeree ideal for cyclists and walkers. Here you can enjoy hours of unparalleled tranquillity that only nature can provide. Take a walk through "de Westduinen", popularly known as "hobbelwei". Bumpy dune area without much vegetation, with dry elevations, humid valleys, small water bodies and ... Military transmission towers from the 50s. The masts at this point are an ironic sign of the history that the island has experienced. South of Ouddorp you will also find the nature reserve "de Hompelvoet", a paradise for nature lovers. You will find many different species of coastal birds and special plant species that you will not find anywhere else in the Netherlands.
Besides "Het Blaeuwe Huus" you can visit several historical buildings. There are a number of other old dune farms in the village, for example the Ridderstee and the Vissershoek. The 56-metre-high lighthouse "Westhoofd" in the dunes at the Groenedijk is not to be overlooked either. The old fishing port is now a pretty marina. Very nice, also for the children, is the RTM tram museum. Between Punt Van Goeree - Port Zélande - Scharendijke and on the Brouwers Dam, this old tram still runs with historical material. In Ouddorp you will also find a subtropical swimming paradise.
There is also much to see and experience in the surrounding area. You can visit the Haringvliet Expo, where you can learn more about the operation of the Haringvlietsluizen locks. Visit the marine mammal reception centre "A Seal" in Stellendam or the "Rien Poortvliet Museum" in Korendijk. Do you decide to take a walk through the historic town of Goedereede or discover the past by bike along the so-called "Bunker Route"?
In Ouddorp you will find, among other things, a large supermarket, a drugstore, a bakery, a bicycle rental and a wide range of shops, restaurants and street cafés. There are various entertainment options for young people.
You can also visit the old Dutch towns of Zierikzee, Veere and Middelburg or the seaside resorts of Renesse and Domburg. Or a shopping trip to the modern cosmopolitan city of Rotterdam!
