Description
If you love the countryside and tranquillity, a stay at the old Harpe (Altmark) railway station could be just the thing. The listed reception building from 1921 was completely renovated in 2013.
The station once housed two service flats for Reichsbahner, who did their duty at the station. Now the bright old flat on the 1st floor with its high ceilings and refurbished wooden floors is fully furnished and deliberately spartan.
It is furnished for 3 persons and has a large bedroom with a bed 180x200, living room, a bedroom and study with a bed 160x200, eat-in kitchen and daylight bathroom. From all windows you have a wonderful view into the quiet landscape.

Location and surroundings of object
The place invites you to retreat for a few days and spend your time at leisure. You can bring your bike and go on wonderful, extensive tours through the northern Altmark.
The railway station is a little out of the way of the village with no neighbouring buildings. The train service was discontinued a few years ago.
Some of the railway equipment is still recognisable; however, nature has almost completely reclaimed the old platforms, the loading road and ramps.

A wonderful time in the Altmark
We were very pleased with the accommodation, in a restored railway station surrounded by nature.
The landlord, Enno Poppinga, had even arranged for sunny weather. Perfect! We will definitely be back!

Holiday at Harper Station
We liked it very much and that's why we will definitely go there again next year.In all categories we got the highest score.Also the landlord,Mr. Poppinga,is very nice,always helpful and considerate.In any case,you need your own car if you want to go to the further surroundings like Arendsee,Salzwedel or Hitzacker.The nature,the forests right in front of the door are wonderful.Numerous bike paths,also the Altmark circular path,invite you to do some sports.

Wonderful oasis of peace..
If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet in the Altmark, this is the place for you. We stayed on the 1st floor of the station. The rooms are stylishly furnished, so there is really nothing missing. We left relaxed after a week. Many thanks to the host!
