Only 1 1/2 hours by car from the Ruhr area or from the Frankfurt a. M. area, you can start your adventures directly at the front door. A wonderful hiking region awaits you in the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park.
The holiday home "Chalet Wiedfluh" is situated in a quiet and idyllic hillside location at the edge of the forest in the small village of Gasbitze. It is part of the climatic health resort Waldbreitbach in the middle of the Wiedbach valley between Neustadt Wied and Neuwied. The holiday home is the ideal starting point for your hikes around Waldbreitbach. On selected hiking trails you can hike interesting themed hiking routes such as the Klosterweg, the Wiedtaler Höhenpfad, the Wiedblick-Tour or the Bärenkopp.
The centre of Waldbreitbach is only 5 minutes away by car (1.5 km)

Waldbreitbach offers sufficient shopping facilities for your daily needs. There are also numerous pubs and restaurants as well as cafés and a recommendable ice cream parlour
The very good general and dental care in combination with two pharmacies in the village promise optimal medical care.
In addition to the large fireworks display "Wied in Flammen" combined with the funfair in August or a visit to the cot exhibition with over 1700 cots, which is open all year round, many other interesting events take place in Waldbreitbach throughout the year.
Whether for an active holiday or simply to relax, from hiking or walking to cycling or mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, playing tennis, swimming or paragliding, there is something for everyone
Guided hiking tours can also be booked at the tourist office. Here, pleasure hikers will find the ideal setting for an unforgettable holiday. E-bikes can be rented at the tourist office. Treat yourself to a few relaxing days in unspoilt nature far away from the stress of everyday life and the noise of the city
For those who prefer to explore the Rhenish Westerwald by car, there are excellent destinations in the immediate vicinity. Linz, the colourful town on the Rhine, the world's highest cold-water geyser in Andernach, the "Deutsches Eck" in Koblenz or the Drachenfels in Königswinter are just a few of the excursion destinations. And in the evening you can enjoy the end of the day on the terrace or by the cosy open fire. The holiday flat offers you absolute peace and quiet.

Enjoy nature

Super house with a beautiful view!
We have spent a few days here with great pleasure. The house is very spacious, fully equipped and for our dog, the daily walks started right from the house. The owners are very friendly, sympathetic people who are very helpful and happy to have a chat but definitely not pushy.
The surroundings are fantastic, there is plenty to see and experience.

Dream holiday
The location is simply fantastic and the equipment of the holiday flat leaves nothing to be desired. Hiking trails start right outside the front door and are just great. Very friendly landlords. We will come again. :-)

Pure tranquillity
We, 4 adults, were allowed to enjoy this wonderful tranquillity for a week. The host family are very nice, warm-hearted and helpful people with a great sense of humour. We hope to see them again soon, when we want to get away from it all. We would like to send you our best regards from Berlin.

Hiking with Dog
The stay at Wiedfluh was an experience for dog and master. The days started with breakfast in the fireplace room overlooking the mountains of the Westerwald. An impressive backdrop from the terrace. One could also feel very comfortable in the house. Nothing was missing. The daily walks started directly from the house - short and long. I will come back!
