Description
Our large vacation apartment, renovated in 2024, is located on the sunny side of a slope directly next to the recreation area "Verschönerung" in a very quiet location with always fresh forest air.
It has a separate entrance and is suitable for 2 to a maximum of 6 people. It is very spacious.
The living area
The large living room consists of two areas with two seating arrangements. The smaller part invites you to browse the book wall and watch TV. The front part has the character of a winter garden. With its 7-meter-wide window front, you have a view over the garden and forest. Here you can listen to the sounds of the forest on the sofa or eat, play, or enjoy a glass of wine at the large table. A wide glass door leads to the large terrace.
The Kitchen
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped, for example, with a large refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee and espresso machine, etc. Sufficient cooking and eating utensils are available.
From the kitchen, you can directly access the large terrace. Here you can sunbathe or enjoy your meal.
The Sleeping Area
Three bedrooms promise you a peaceful night in the fresh air:
• one with a large king-size box spring bed (1.80m), and direct access to the garden
• one with two single box spring beds
• one with a single bed and the option to set up a folding bed. Here you also have a patio door to the garden.
A large and a small bathroom offer two showers, three sinks, a bathtub, and two toilets. (Towel, bath towel, and bed linen are included in the price.)
The garden
The large (sunbathing) lawn offers sun and shade in the summer. Our large natural garden is bordered by a stream. The garden gate leads to the premium hiking trail Basaltschleife. The Rheinsteig is only 150 m away. Parking and storage options
There are parking spaces directly on our residential street; you can store your bicycle in our garage and charge the e-bike battery. The entire apartment has free (usually fast) Wi-Fi.
"Waldluft" is a non-smoking apartment.
Please understand that we cannot allow pets to be brought along.

Location and surroundings of object
Our vacation apartment "Waldluft" is located on the outskirts yet very central: it's less than a 10-minute walk to the historic city center and the Rhine. The Rhine Cycle Route, the bus stop, and the ferry to the Ahr Valley are just minutes away. The train station (towards Cologne, Koblenz) and the terminal station of the steep route into the Westerwald are about 1 km away.
There are (free) parking options on our residential street. Linz, the "Colorful City", not only offers picturesque photo opportunities, but also a swimming pool close to the center, a tennis court for guests, and two fitness centers – all within a few minutes’ reach.
Linz is an ideal starting point for hiking, biking, and car tours to the Rhine Valley, the Westerwald, and the Volcanic Eifel. Many destinations are easily accessible by public transportation. In a short time, you can reach:
- the Siebengebirge (with Drachenfels, Ölberg, and Petersberg)
- the Ahr valley, even after the "Ahr catastrophe," worth several trips, with steep vineyards, small wine villages, and many attractions
- the volcanic area around the lake and the World Heritage Site Maria Laach, the World Heritage Site Limes with the "Roman World"
- the world city of Cologne, Bonn and Koblenz with the Moselle confluence at Deutsches Eck
• numerous museums of international rank
- a large outlet center and the largest German shopping business park
- several attractive wellness facilities

Everything is tip-top.
Clean, spacious apartment. Everything is available in the kitchen, best starting point for cycling, hiking, sightseeing. We could also store the bikes, so there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to complain about and I would immediately recommend the apartment and if we come to this area again, I would book it again right away!

Next time again
We spent a wonderful vacation in this accommodation with three people. It is centrally located and very well equipped (each with their own bedroom ☺️), everything needed for the day was there. The balcony is huge, and there is also a terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed the mornings and evenings outside. The landlord was always quickly reachable and very accommodating before and during our stay. We would and will book this accommodation again at any time.

Wonderful May weekend
Dear Latz family and Co.,
we felt absolutely wonderful in your holiday apartment, can only highly recommend it, and would love to come back sometime. Highlights:
The special location near hiking trails and the old town of Linz (the car stayed parked for 4 days)
The generous furnishings and size of the apartment (We were six and never felt cramped)
The great terraces with birdsong and a view into the forest
Very homely atmosphere

Everything super clean and well-maintained
More was almost not possible
The apartment is not accessible for disabled persons due to its construction (access stairs and stairs to the sleeping areas), which one must consider. We thank you for a wonderful time

Excellent accommodation
We (2 people) felt very comfortable during a short vacation. A spacious, clean accommodation and a very helpful landlord made it easy for us to feel at ease. Arrival by train is very feasible. Supermarket and bakery are all within walking distance.
On a trip to the Rhine, I would love to stay at the Waldluft accommodation again.

Zuvorkommende und sehr freundliche, zuverlässige Vermieter. Vielfältige Vorschläge für Ausflugsziele vor Ort.
Eine großzügige und geschmackvolle Wohnung und sogar die Küchenmesser sind scharf. Das sagt doch schon alles.
Bei einer Reise an den Rhein übernachte ich gerne gerne wieder in der Unterkunft Waldluft.

Herr Latz hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen und uns jede Menge Tipps für Restaurants und Sehenswertes in der Umgebung gegeben, sodass wir ganz tolle Ausflüge gemacht haben und richtig lecker essen waren!
Morgens haben wir immer an dem langen Esstisch im Wohnzimmer mit Blick in den Wald gefrühstückt und am Abend auf den Sofas entspannt. Man kann sich dort wahnsinnig gut erholen! Zusätzlich hat man das Gefühl, dass man ganz alleine dort wohnt, weil die Wohnung nicht einsehbar und nach hinten rauss (zum Wald) ausgerichtet ist.
Meine Freundinnen und ich wohnen aktuell alle in Großstädten und wir haben die Ruhe und die Natur sehr genossen.

Auf der Terrasse oder im Garten kann man die Sonne, die Ruhe und das Vögelgezwitscher geniessen.
Dazu sehr freundliche und kommunikative Gastgeber… Wir waren rundum zufrieden!
Ob Wandern, Radfahren oder kulturelle Ausflüge – es gibt in der Umgebung jede Menge zu entdecken und zu unternehmen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieter, die mit ihrer herzlichen Art unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht haben.
Wir können die Wohnung absolut empfehlen – für Familien, Freunde oder alle, die Ruhe suchen, ohne auf Nähe zur Stadt verzichten zu wollen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
