Description
The comfortable holiday flat has an area of approx. 85 m² and is very suitable for 4 people. By arrangement, up to 6 people can also be accommodated in the flat. The sleeping possibilities are a double room, a twin bed room (two single beds) and a guest room (spring room) with a large, modern sofa bed for 2 people. The guest room with its large panorama window and double-winged patio door is also ideal as a reading or play room, with plenty of literature such as thrillers, novels, fairy tale books for the kids through to interesting cookery books or reference works such as specialist literature, encyclopaedias or atlases.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge-freezer, an oven with a 4-burner ceramic hob, extractor bonnet, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, egg boiler and much more. No crockery or cutlery counted!
The dining and living area is comfortably furnished with an HD flat screen TV, HiFi receiver plus CD player, as well as a usable open fireplace. WLan available!
Large panorama windows offer a wonderful view of the opposite forest slopes of the Wiedtal. The double glass door offers direct access to the large, Mediterranean-style terrace with garden furniture including cushions and upholstery. A large sunshade with a traffic light serves as sun protection.
A (high) barbecue, a kettle barbecue and a table barbecue are also available on request.
The brightly tiled bathroom has a hand basin, a bathtub with shower device, shower curtain and sufficient storage space in wall and floor cupboards. The toilet is separate from the bathroom and can be used separately.
Our liquid gas boiler provides hot water and heat.
This holiday home is a detached house on a slope with two flats, each with separate entrances. The described holiday flat is located in the upper part of the building.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is situated in the middle of the Wiedbach valley between Roßbach and Niederbreitbach in an idyllic and quiet hillside location at the edge of the forest in the small Waldbreitbach district of Gasbitze and directly adjacent to the Westerwaldsteig (over 235 km of selected hiking trails lead through deep green forests, green meadows, quiet valleys and breezy heights, through romantic villages past many sights).
This beautiful and peaceful spot can be reached in just under 1 1/2 hours by car from the Ruhr area or from the Frankfurt a. M. area. The forest is right on the doorstep and ideally situated for hiking enthusiasts and mountain bikers. To the centre of Waldbreitbach it is only a 5 min. drive by car (1,5 km). By foot it is only 1 km for which you need about 10-15 minutes

The small climatic health resort Waldbreitbach offers sufficient shopping possibilities for the daily needs. The very good general and dental care in combination with two pharmacies in the village promise optimal medical care
On the banks of the Wied, you can hire rowing boats and/or pedal boats and explore the Wied. In addition to the (annual) fireworks display "Wied in Flammen" (Wied in Flames) in conjunction with the funfair or a visit to the world's largest natural cot exhibition with over 1700 cots, many other interesting events take place throughout the year in the tranquil village of Waldbreitbach.
Whether for an active holiday or simply to relax, from hiking or walking to cycling or mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, tennis, swimming or paragliding, there is something for everyone. The possibility of playing golf is also available in the immediate vicinity (approx. 20 minutes by car).

The house is equipped with everything!
The owners live below, are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive.
Dogs are very welcome!
We lacked nothing, bakery in the village, supermarkets in the village, pharmacy, everything nearby...

Holiday in the countryside
We enjoyed our summer vacation in 2024 at the Hecker holiday home in Gasbitze. If you are looking for action, you are totally wrong here. In the depths of the Westerwald, relaxation and tranquility are the order of the day. The view from the holiday home is simply fantastic. It can't be described, it must be seen. The landlords are something very special in a positive sense (always accessible and ready for anything) :-)
Without a means of transportation, the holiday home is not recommended. The supply of all daily necessities in the village can be reached in a few minutes by car. Attractions on the Rhine and Moselle rivers are also easily accessible. All in all, we had a GREAT vacation with the Hecker family and would like to thank them again for their kind care.

Great location
This accommodation leaves nothing to be desired.
The great view, the Hecker family, old and young, are just great.
The area is also a jewel and very good gastronomy (including the ice cream parlour and Paganetti's) also highly recommended.
We will definitely be back

Five men stayed for one week to cycle in the area. (road bikes)

Short holiday - weekend
We had a very nice short pre-Christmas weekend in this accommodation. The flat is furnished with a lot of attention to detail, very cosy to feel good, absolutely recommendable. The location is basically beautiful, not walkable alone in the dark in winter.

In Oberhausen, the cradle of the Ruhr industry, in Sterkrade to be precise, I, Marion Hecker, ran my own hairdressing business as a master hairdresser for almost 50 years and handed it over to my son, master hairdresser Kai Hecker, in 2014 when he reached retirement age. He now leads the 4. He now runs the old-established hairdressing business in a modern style Until then, we, my husband Rolf and I, looked after, maintained and managed the salon ourselves on weekdays from Oberhausen and on weekends at the location. When we handed over the salon to our son, we gave up our residence in Oberhausen-Sterkrade and have been citizens of Waldbreitbach-Gasbitze ever since. We have been at home here for over 45 years, feel comfortable, enjoy the peace and quiet and the nature that surrounds us And these are exactly the qualities we would like to convey to our guests in our holiday flat.
