The holiday home is situated on a slope and has an approx. large plot. On the street side, the house has a parking space and a house all to yourself!
The holiday home on the Rothenberg in the idyllic Oberharz village of Altenau offers an ideal retreat for 4 adults and 4 children for a relaxing holiday.
Open living area with integrated kitchen and gallery as well as an in-house sauna or a small indoor sports area with basketball hoop, table tennis table and table football make the special charm in the holiday home at the Rothenberg. Two bedrooms with two sleeping possibilities each and four additional sleeping places on the gallery are available to the guests. Two bathrooms with bathtub or shower and a total of three toilets on the individual floors take the hustle and bustle - especially - out of the morning.
An open fireplace and underfloor heating in the living area round off the cosy atmosphere on the ground floor of the holiday home.
The house is situated on a square metre plot on a slope and offers guests a parking space. The village centre is only about 600 metres away on foot. Altenau itself offers interesting leisure activities, such as Europe's largest herb park, the thermal brine and sauna landscape Kristall "Heißer Brocken" and a modern spa centre. Excursions to the Okertalsperre dam with a boat trip on the Okersee lake are just as appealing as a hike along the Goethe Trail from the Torfhaus district, 8 km away, to the Brocken summit.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located in a side valley of Altenau near the Hüttenteich and the "Alter Bahnhof". The distance to the centre of the village is approx. 600m. You will find shopping facilities in the centre of Altenau. There you will find a small supermarket, two butchers, a pharmacy and the last remaining brewery in the Harz, which belongs to the Wöltingerrode monastery estate. The gastronomy offers are varied.
