Our mid-terrace house is located in the centre of Carolinensiel in a dead-end location.
On approx. 80 sqm you find place for 6 persons as well as a small child.
Cot, baby changing unit, high chair and internet access are provided free of charge.
Pets are allowed by arrangement.
If you are travelling with 6 people, you will appreciate that there is a bathroom with shower as well as a guest toilet with toilet and washbasin.
If you like to cook, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with everything from an electric cooker to a dishwasher to serve breakfast, lunch or dinner in the dining area of the living room
From the living room you can access the terrace belonging to the house. The terrace has an awning that protects you from excessive sunlight if necessary. In addition, there is a balcony that you can access from the bedroom.
The functional equipment of the house facilitates the necessary household chores.

Our mid-terrace house is located in the centre of Carolinensiel in a dead-end location.
There is a children's playground about 50 m from the house.
The village centre is 300 m away. For your shopping you will find a discounter 200 m away or an Edeka supermarket 400 m away. The promenade along the Harle river is 100 m away. You will reach the Cliner Quelle spa centre after approx. 1200 m.

As we have 3 children ourselves, we know from our own experience that holidays with children can be expensive. For this reason, we do not charge a surcharge for children when more than 4 people are staying with us.

The rental price includes the use of a W-LAN connection. If you would like to use the W-LAN connection, please say so when booking so that you receive the access code.
The TV receives its programmes via a satellite dish and is connected to a DVD player. SKY sports programmes can be received.

My personal opinion
It was okay. There are small things that one might change, such as the kitchen appliances (microwave, extractor hood) which should perhaps be renewed, as their age is noticeable. Unfortunately, in the upper rooms, there was no way to darken the windows (no blinds), the caretaker was there but said they need to be ordered and nothing happened on the departure day. The curtains should also be washed from time to time (were a bit dirty). The terrace was somewhat unkempt (it could have been swept and the weeds could have been removed). The location was good.
The description also mentioned a fenced garden, which unfortunately was not present. Overall, it was okay. I would say with a little work and some care it would be great.

Good location BUT
Key handover was smooth, accommodation was clean. When looking into the cabinets, we found broken toys, picture frames with shattered glass, and brochures for excursion destinations that were years old. This should be decluttered. The "terrace" is way too small if you want to sit there with several people. Additionally, the terrace is unkempt and dirty. The different cushions were "cheap" and thin. In the children's bedrooms, blackout is not possible. From 4:30 in the morning, it is bright!
The stairs to the 2nd floor are a smooth, steep flight. I wouldn't want to let a child run up or down here.
The door to the parents' bedroom is probably warped, as the sound when opening it resembles a rusty circular saw. Everyone in the house is at least awake then. Doesn't the cleaning staff notice this? Or is it irrelevant?

Zu kaputte Spielsachen, Bilderrahmen mit zerbrochenem Glas:
Wir statten unser Ferienhaus in jedem Jahr (!) mit neuem, vielfältigem Spielmaterial und Büchern für die jüngsten Gäste aus, ebenso mit qualitativ hochwertigen Küchenutensilien und Wohn-Accessoires wie Kissen und einheitlichen, bequemen Sitzauflagen für die Terrassenmöbel im Wert von mehreren hundert Euro.
Tatsächlich gehen alljährlich unglaublich viele Dinge im Haus kaputt, oder sie verschwinden im Laufe eines Jahres unauffindbar. Leider melden es uns nur die wenigsten Gäste, wenn ihnen während ihres Aufenthalts bei uns ein Missgeschick passiert und etwas unbenutzbar wird oder defekt ist. Stattdessen verschwindet z.B. der zerbrochene Bilderrahmen in einer Schublade.
Es ist uns neu zu lesen, dass der Sitzplatz draußen für die Anzahl unserer Gäste zu klein sein soll: Wir haben Stammgäste, die sich seit Jahren in den Sommermonaten regelmäßig mit 6 Personen auf der Terrasse wohl fühlen. Hier wundert uns die Aussage, da die Gäste mit nur 2 Personen im Haus waren.
Die Schlafzimmer, die als Kinderzimmer bezeichnet werden, haben jeweils VELUX-Dachflächenfenster und sind mit einem verdunkelnden Innenrollo ausgestattet. Bemerkenswert auch hier, dass es bemängelt wird, obwohl die Gäste nur mit 2 Personen angereist sind und damit die Kinderzimmer eigentlich nicht brauchten.
Insbesondere ältere Kinder, aber auch Erwachsene, lieben übrigens das Zimmer im zweiten Stock mit den Einzelbetten, und betiteln diesen kuscheligen Rückzugsort gerne uns gegenüber liebevoll als „Möwennest“!
Mit der Holztreppe, die die Gäste als Stiege bezeichnen, gab es noch keine Probleme, die uns mitgeteilt wurden.
Es handelt sich um eine „richtige“, wenngleich etwas schmalere Treppe mit einem durchgehenden Geländer.
Alle Gäste werden bereits bei Abschluss des Mietvertrages darauf hingewiesen, dass Sie sich bei Mängeln oder, wenn Sie Defekte feststellen, UNVERZÜGLICH an den Vermietungsservice wenden sollen! Es soll sich niemand über die Dauer des Aufenthalts irgendwie behelfen. Dazu zählt auch, dass Gäste unverzüglich eine Geräusche verursachende Tür melden. um eine Reparatur zu ermöglichen.

10.8-17.8 North Sea vacation
Unfortunately, we have to leave again tomorrow. Our stay here in Carolinensiel has pleased us. We have seen and experienced a lot. Unfortunately, I also have to distribute a few minus points: 1. The cleanliness, as there were many spider webs and also the mosquitoes. We had a mosquito plague in the bathroom and had to eliminate the mosquitoes with insect spray. But overall, it was very nice.

Wenn Gäste bei Ihrer Anreise Unsauberkeit feststellen, ist sofort der Vermietungsservice zu benachrichtigen, damit nachgebessert werden kann.
In den Sommermonaten ist bedingt durch die Lage des Hauses in der Nähe der Harle Mückenzuflug möglich. Mücken in der Wohnung lassen sich am einfachsten durch Verschließen der Fenster ab einsetzender Dämmerung verhindern.
