Super holiday home

We all really enjoyed it. The house was equipped with everything you need. We missed nothing. The refrigerator is indeed a highlight. The swing on the tree captivated our granddaughters. The last activity before heading home was swinging. In the mornings, we used the beautiful large dining table, which unfortunately at home we have far too little time for. We also really enjoyed the cozy seating area on the porch. All in all, it was a great holiday accommodation. During the day, we always did a lot. We were at the moose park in Malilla, in Astrid Lindgren World, in Näss, in Mariannelund in the film village, in Oskarshamn, in Kalmar, in Vimmerby, at Katthulthof, in Bullerbyn, swimming and fishing at various lakes (with very poor results, but it was still fun with the kids). To conclude, we went to the "village festival" in Mörlunda. Unfortunately, the time passed much too quickly. We would like to sincerely thank you again for the beautiful accommodation (there was even a bouquet of flowers on the table at the reception).

would have liked to stay longer

This wonderful Villa Vänlig is not directly by the lake, but we fell in love with it; it was an unforgettable week and we lacked nothing because everything was there: a more than perfectly equipped kitchen with an oriental spice supply (for our vegan daughter ;-)), emergency reserves of food like rice, pasta, coffee, and coconut milk (ohh), cozy and spacious layout of the bedrooms, a large hallway upstairs and downstairs, a mighty terrace with a giant table, a swing, a treehouse, and a rope for tug-of-war (which was happily used for internal family battles). The large selection of bicycles was gladly accepted for trips to the 7 km distant Elk Park, to the 3 km distant Lillesjö Lake, or to the landlords' preferred Marensee for the most beautiful sunset photos.
Excursions to Vimmerby in Astrid Lindgren's World, to Eksjö including the Skurugata hike, to the east coast, etc., easily fill a week's vacation or even more.
Every morning, fresh rolls from the nearby market on the breakfast table was a luxury. Our second week we booked in a holiday home right by the lake, much more expensive, spartan furnishings, unkempt... the complete opposite of Villa Vänlig, we would have preferred to go back to "our villa."

Restful, uncomplicated ... recommendable

We were in Sweden for the first time and were absolutely thrilled with the country, the people, and Villa Vänlig. The house is located in a quiet residential area and is an ideal starting point for trips to nearby and somewhat distant surroundings: to dreamy lakes, enchanted forests with trolls and moose, cultural treasures, and of course the lake. The supermarket, just a 5-minute walk away, has everything you need for small shopping. And we also felt absolutely comfortable in the house; everyone found a place here and sometimes had space to retreat. In nice weather, the garden or the wonderful terrace calls. We found the house very clean, with everything we could have needed. The beds were very cozy; we slept wonderfully. Communication with the landlord before, during, and after the vacation was straightforward and very friendly. All in all, we felt very comfortable in the house and in Sweden, and we can definitely recommend it.

Great vacation in Sweden

A wonderful holiday in Sweden is unfortunately behind us again. We couldn't have found a better place than Villa Vänlig - everything is super-cozy and very comfortable. There is everything (and more) available to feel at home and at the same time enjoy the holiday feeling. The location is extremely quiet and yet so central that there are plenty of excursion possibilities - so even with less than optimal weather, boredom definitely won't arise. The utensils available in the house (including books, games, paddle boats, and bicycles) ensure that every day can become a new adventure.

Perfect family holidays

Hej Hej,
that was a Swedish holiday straight out of a picture book. And the perfect place to stay, Villa Vänlig. What Götz and his family have built here is simply relaxing and cosy. Nothing is perfect - but everything is there. So it's not sterile, but simply super-cool. And there is enough space for the patchwork family with 4 adults, 3 children and a dog. We will be back!

Highly recommended for young and old alike.

We have been in this house for the second time now and can only recommend it. The house has everything you need, two bedrooms for adults, one bedroom for children, a large dining table where everyone can sit, comfortable couch, Playstation for entertainment, and much more. And this was just inside the house, outside awaits you a beautiful large garden with many apple trees, a cozy terrace, grill, swing, small "treehouse", so you can keep busy both inside and outside. The location is also great for starting day trips, whether to a lake or for hiking. For this purpose, you can take one of the bikes or go out with the canoe, it won't be boring.
For shopping, there is a supermarket in the village, which is quickly reached on foot, 5-10 min., or a small pizzeria if you don't feel like cooking.
In conclusion, highly recommended and we will definitely go there a third time.

Sweden, Smaland, Dreamlike.

The house is equipped with everything you need for daily life. The bedrooms on the 1st floor are great. We all slept fantastically well in the beds. We made extensive use of the garden with the treehouse and the veranda. Since the location is a bit away from the water, we had NO mosquitoes in the evenings. The bicycles were all functional, and there is something for every size. The canoes with accessories were often in use. They are great in the water, and you can make wonderful trips in the area. The area offers great excursion opportunities. Thanks also for the great brochure with tips. We will be back.

Simply fantastic - highly recommended

I don't even know where to begin. First of all, a big compliment to the landlords. From A to Z, everything went smoothly, quickly, and without complications. Thank you very much. The holiday home also leaves nothing to be desired! Everything is exactly as described. And it's precisely the "small" imperfections that make this house a beautiful domicile. We simply felt comfortable all around. The huge garden was a true paradise for our children. The location of the holiday home is fantastic. Within a 5-minute walk, you can reach a grocery store where we got our fresh bread every morning. (And we really appreciate that because we often visit Sweden, and that is true luxury!!!) All the attractions we visited are easily accessible by Swedish standards :-). Here, a big shoutout to the landlord. In the entrance area, there is a large Swedish map on which many sights etc. are marked with pins. This helped us a lot, and we discovered some places that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Certainly worth recommending is the lake "Maren," which is practically right outside the door. Conclusion: Those who want to spend time in nature and truly relax will find this place perfect. We can wholeheartedly recommend this vacation home. We will definitely come back - no question!!!

Wonderful!

Beautiful, cozy, clean, and lovingly furnished house. We were four adults with a baby and two dogs. Even a baby bed and high chair were available. The beds in the upper bedrooms were comfortable with absolutely good mattresses (no back problems the next morning). The absolute dream is the large outdoor terrace with a huge lounge set, where we could chill until the early morning hours by candlelight. The quiet yet central location on the outskirts is the ideal starting point for visiting the many lakes nearby, the moose park, and also for quickly walking to get bread rolls in the mornings. In summary, highly recommended to experience a beautiful and relaxed vacation with animals and people of all ages!

This is how Sweden is fun!

We were 4 adults and 3 children (4 months; 1.5 years and 3 years old) in the house, which is aptly named VILLA Vänlig (friendly villa). Everything is very spacious, so we could really spread out. With many rooms, the children were not disturbed while sleeping even if one of them cried. The amenities are also great: a dryer and washing machine were very helpful with the little ones, and the 2 bathrooms were perfect for 2 families. The whole thing in the iconic Swedish house style - my personal favorite in the house is the stove. I enjoy cooking, and despite the years that the appliance has under its belt, many computerized burners with eco-speed control cannot keep up --> especially the pizza became a hit. In the shed, there are also bicycles (one with a child seat), a few fishing rods, a grill, and so on. Every wish was fulfilled. In addition, the house is very quiet, but nevertheless supermarkets, banks, and the post office are quickly accessible on foot. The neighbors are also very nice, the little children are sociable, and everyone is very helpful. In the neighboring village (Virserüm), there is even a German bakery. To explore the area, we received extensive information material in advance, and there are also plenty of brochures in the house, so there was absolutely no boredom in the 2 weeks. The nearby lakes are breathtaking and great for relaxation. A water park (with a special area for children and a fantastic slide) is also located 30 minutes away by car (Oskarshamn). A few kilometers to the north is Vimmerby, and you are already in the midst of Astrid Lindgren's world. All in all, a great vacation - we will gladly come back.
