The cosy holiday home "Am Gehre" is located in the centre of Bad Berleburg, southern Sauerland/Wittgensten and offers space for up to 14 persons. 3 bathrooms with shower/tub are available. In the house there are 1 double bed room, 2 family rooms with extra bed and 4 double bed rooms. After registration we are happy to provide 1 -2 cots (free of charge).
The comfortably equipped kitchen with coffee machine, fondue and raclette leaves nothing to be desired. The following bright living-dining area with two large tables has access to the garden. TV, books and games are available here.
The fenced garden invites you to enjoy the barbecue. In the evening you find yourself in the garden hut with fireplace for a sociable round. We offer a wellness oasis with sauna and steam sauna. (for a fee)
Washing machine and dryer are available in the ski cellar, as well as a drinks fridge. Your bike will find room in the in-house garage. There are 4 parking spaces in front of the house.

The signposted way to the holiday home leads serpentine through a quiet residential area. The shops for daily needs (REWE, Hit, DM, beverage market) are within walking distance of the house (200 m). A children's playground can be found in the town hall garden, which is 350 m away. Take away, restaurants, pubs are on site as well as the Rothaarbad with sauna area. Castle Wittgenstein, hiking trails such as the Rothaarsteig, Via Adrina, Kyrillpfad, sculpture trail but also excursions to the Orange Town Dillenburg, University Town Marburg or the Rubens Town Siegen could inspire you. Biggesee, Attahöhle and Edersee are about 65 km away. In the nearer surroundings you will find Winterberg with its sporting attractions (ski carousel, climbing and biker park, summer toboggan run, wake-water), Frankenberg with a historical old town, Schmallenberg (Outlet Falke) Hanseatic town of Brilon and Bad Laasphe (mushroom museum and brewery tour).
Fort -Fun and Panorama-Park at a distance of about 35 km offer a lot of action for children and teenagers.

Also worth mentioning: Bad Berleburg is located in one of the most densely wooded areas of Germany. Not only the Rothaarsteig, but also less well-known hiking trails invite children and adults to discover. A main attraction is the bisons. But red deer and wild boar can also be found here
On the first weekend in June, the traditional Stünzelfest (district animal show festival) takes place, which attracts thousands of visitors to the Waldfestplatz after Stünzel. The wool market in May and the bread market (Erndtedankfest) in October are also crowd pullers in the city
The Wittgenstein Christmas markets are also popular, especially the Christmas journey at Berleburg Castle, the ancestral seat of the Sayn-Wittgenstein family. The sports on offer range from mountain biking, golf, skiing, gliding, swimming to climbing on a climbing rock. Gladly I am helpful to you with your leisure planning.

Family meeting
We were with 10 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 dog in the house at Gehre. It was very clean and very well equipped. We also enjoyed spending time in the large garden. The contact with the landlord was prompt and very friendly. We were very satisfied.

Highly recommended!!!
We were guests of the extremely obliging, friendly and competent hostess for a long weekend with a group of seven men. The equipment, the size and the location of the house are perfect for travellers in all constellations! Especially valuable is the large terrace, the garden house and the spacious fridge in the cellar ;-)
We will definitely be back!

Super house with all the amenities you need
The house is fully equipped and super clean.
It is in a beautiful area and not far from Winterberg and it is great for large groups.
Also in summer when the weather is nice there is a nice garden and mancave.
There is plenty of parking space.
The hostess is super helpful
In short, highly recommended.
