Die Halberstädter

We were "repeat offenders" and this time had (almost) all seasons in one week. Snowfall (didn't stick), rain, sun, storm.
Always worth a trip.

Charming chalet

Everything was perfect! We received a positive response to our booking request within a few minutes, then the rental contract and we were looking forward to our short holiday (was really too short). We can only confirm the very good reviews so far, the descriptions are correct, the equipment is top. Nevertheless, you have to experience the house and let it have an effect on you. We found the grotto with the infrared cabin ingenious. We had both sun and rain and still did a lot, because the Oberharz offers enough leisure activities for every weather. We will definitely be back - thanks to Axel Fricke and his team

Chalet to the Brocken

After we had to cancel our holiday at the "Chalet zum Brocken" in 2020 because of Covid 19, we were finally able to make up for it in autumn 2022.

We liked it so much that we booked the chalet again in spring 2023 and had another great stay.

A really beautiful house, lovingly furnished and equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed using the heat cabin after many a hike.

You can really do a lot in the Harz and if the weather is not so good you can also stay in the house.

Unique block house

Unfortunately, our holiday was far too short, but we did - somewhat unexpectedly - have a bit of snow. The chalet is beautifully furnished and equipped with all the daily necessities. Even the dog felt at home.

We have already booked our next holiday.

Perfect accommodation

My wife and I lived in the house with our shepherd dog in May 2022. The fenced property allowed the dog to run free outside

It was absolutely clean and the garden was beautifully laid out and planted. Everything has been prepared and decorated with great attention to detail

The furnishings lacked nothing, especially in the tasteful and open kitchen. The furniture is of high quality and cosy. We had forgotten the sauna infusion, but there was also a nice selection available. The keys were handed over without contact.

The location is nice and quiet but still very convenient to get to the village or to start a hike or two. Within a few minutes you are directly in the green and can enjoy nature

We will definitely come back, which is not least due to the landlord. He is really very friendly and accommodating

Perfect accommodation

We are so enthusiastic about this accommodation. There is no nicer cottage for a hiking holiday in the Harz Mountains. We would have loved to stay longer. After the strenuous hikes, we could relax in the sauna and when it snowed, as it did in the first two days, we made ourselves comfortable by the fireplace with a glass of wine. The daughter could watch an exciting movie. We have already recommended it to all friends and family. Anytime again, the Chalet am Brocken. Greetings from Berlin!

Chalet zum Brocken

We were able to enjoy our days. The chalet is wonderfully decorated in a mountain hut style and 100% clean. The beds are a dream. Rarely slept so well. The garden area with a pond is also great. We are totally enthusiastic and will surely come back. It is something special when you come back from hiking and in the evening, after the sauna, you can look at the fireplace with a glass of red wine. ...full marks!! Best regards, Mechthild

Simply perfect!

We were able to spend a wonderful week in this lovingly furnished chalet in June. Everything you need and more is available. The location is perfect and quiet. Whether you want to explore the area directly from the front door or reach good starting points a few kilometers away. Especially recommended, in addition to the obligatory hike to the Brocken, is the ascent to the Kästeklippen from Romkerhall. Not to forget, the landlord is fantastic. Uncomplicated, human, and humorous. It simply couldn't be better. We will come back, no question.

Feeling well and relaxing

We were already very impressed by the photos and were curious if it is really like on the photos. After a long and traffic-jammed car ride, we arrived. From the outside, we were already excited. Then the great shelter outside and then we entered the house. Just great. The long car ride was forgotten. Every detail has been taken care of. You entered and felt comfortable. A very great house with great amenities. The landlord is very nice and had great tips for the area and hikes. A second visit is certain and in the planning.

Recreation and pure luxury...

We (39&42) stayed with our 2 dogs for an extended weekend at the chalet. The house is by far the most beautiful in the village, the front garden very well maintained and lovingly designed. Inside the house, you can see and feel the attention to detail, everything is thought of, nothing is missing - so we could leave the everyday stress and the long journey from Karlsruhe behind from the first minute, which was definitely more than worth it:)). Nearby, great hikes in the Harz Forest are possible, a dream for nature lovers, both humans and dogs. I would give the landlord 6 stars if possible :)), very nice and helpful. Thank you Axel for the great tips and beautiful days in the chalet. . . You didn't promise too much, we would have loved to stay a bit longer, but we will be back. . . . . .
