In the Fingerhut holiday home you have found the perfect accommodation to enjoy the Harz holiday experience with friends, colleagues or family. Up to twelve adults can be accommodated comfortably on 180 square metres of living space
Especially suitable for hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers, family reunions, workshops, company outings or a get-together with friends. You are welcome to stay with us in a small or large group.
You can all sit together at the dining table in the spacious kitchen/living room, but there are also plenty of opportunities to retreat inside the house or on the large terrace. For special well-being, the garden sauna is at your disposal.

Living and dining
The large table in the 33sqm kitchen-living room on the ground floor invites you to sit together comfortably even outside of meals. Upstairs you will find a fully equipped living room with a large flat-screen TV. The use of the WLAN is free of charge for you.
The two bedrooms on the ground floor are about 15sqm in size and each has a comfortable box spring double bed.
In the basement there is another cosy bedroom with a large double bed.
You will find three more bedrooms on the upper floor- one with a large box spring double bed, one with a double bed and in the small bedroom a large single bed (140x200cm).
A smart TV (32 inch) is installed in all bedrooms
In the modern open kitchen on the ground floor, which is directly connected to the dining area, you will have a lot of fun cooking and sitting together. In addition to the ceramic hob, oven and fridge-freezer combination, there is of course a dishwasher, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine.
There are two lovingly cleaned bathrooms, each with a bathtub/shower, a large heated mirror and a hairdryer, retaining the charm of years gone by. There is another guest toilet on the ground floor.
Outside
The 900 sqm large property is completely fenced, so that you can let your children play here in a relaxed way. There are three free parking spaces available.
The 80 sqm terrace offers tables with comfortable seating for up to twelve people, as well as three sun loungers. You can barbecue together or end the day at the fireplace, roast bread over the flames and enjoy the time together. The highlight is the garden sauna, which is at your disposal during your stay.

Hohegeiß (Braunlage)
Our holiday home is located in the idyllic mountain village of Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage, in the middle of the Harz Nature Park. It can be reached via the B4, which crosses the Harz Mountains, and has about 950 inhabitants.
Part of the former inner-German border runs along the north-eastern edge of the village. Not far from the village is the Three-State Stone, which marks the border between Lower Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.
Hohegeiß climatic health resort
Due to its altitude of 570-642 metres above sea level and its pleasant climate, Hohegeiß has been awarded the title of "climatic health resort".
The landscape is characterised by mountain meadows and green forests, which invite you to outdoor activities all year round.
In summer, hiking, cycling tours, archery and swimming in the idyllically situated forest swimming pool are particularly popular. A wide range of events and excursion destinations in the nearby surroundings ensure that young and old alike will never be bored.
A Harz experience in winter and summer
In winter Hohegeiß is a magnet especially for winter sports enthusiasts. You can skate on the natural ice rink or try your hand at curling. In addition to groomed cross-country ski trails and toboggan runs, there are pistes of varying degrees of difficulty, which allow both beginners and experienced skiers to get their money's worth. Three ski lifts transport skiers and tobogganers to the downhill runs. And those who still want to ski in the evening hours can take part in the floodlit skiing.
Hiking enthusiasts can also set out on a romantic hike in the snow-covered forests at this time of year.

In the basement of the house you will find a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, ironing board and iron. The boot dryer in the hallway area ensures that your wet snowshoes are quickly ready for the next ski tour or snow hike. Furthermore, there is a lockable room for bicycles, skis, etc.

Wunderschön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus
Great holiday home in Hohegeiß near Braunlage. Freshly renovated with a lot of charm! Top equipment, the only downsides are the (too cool in winter) kitchen-dining area (sliding door not lockable, it is drafty) and the driveway to the property, which needs to be done so that normal cars do not get stuck there. It would have been nice to have a functioning stair gate that unfortunately does not prevent young children from climbing up the stairs. Otherwise everything is perfect and absolutely recommendable, as it is furnished with great attention to detail! Sauna in the garden is also great...

Lieber Sebastian,
es freut uns sehr das Ihr ein angenehmen Aufenthalt in unserem Ferienhaus-Fingerhut verbracht habt. Durch die Hanglage ist die Einfahrt auf den Innenhof nicht für jedes Auto geeignet. Dennoch sind ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten am Haus vorhanden. Im kommendem Jahr ist geplant die Einfahrt in den Innenhof anzupassen. Da sich das Haus über drei Stockwerke verteilt, haben wir noch nicht die Ideale Lösung für das Absperren der einzelnen Bereiche für Kleinkinder gefunden. Anfang des neuen Jahres werden wir eine zweite Variante unseren Gästen Anbieten.
