The Köpkenhuus as a whole has two holiday flats.
The holiday flat "Klein Hoheliet" is the front main part of the house.
The holiday flat "Zum Herrenmoor" is in the annex at the back of the house.
The holiday flats, including their own gardens, are completely separate from each other.
The holiday flat "Klein Hoheliet" has 3 double rooms, 1 single room, 1 single room with cot, 1 multi-bed room (2 bunk beds), 1 passage room with 4 beds, 1 sofa bed for 2 in the living room as well as two bathrooms. In the 30 m² kitchen with wood-burning stove and sofa you can all sit comfortably together at the long table. In addition, there is a 25 m² living room. Sauna, washing machine, dryer and firewood can be used and are charged according to consumption.
The ground-floor apartment "Zum Herrenmoor" has 1 double room, 1 sofa bed for 2 in the living room, 2 beds in the heated garden house and 1 bathroom with tub. Washing machine and dryer can be used and are charged according to consumption.
6000 m² plot, home-grown fruit - pure nature to eat. The 6000m² plot is quietly situated and offers an unobstructed view of romantic sunrises over the field - and of course the setting evening sun in the moor. The garden's own fruit trees guarantee delicious purely organic fruit in summer; fresh milk is available from the farm in the neighbourhood. In winter, the sauna, wood-burning stove, underfloor heating and a heatable garden house ensure a relaxed, cosy holiday experience.
There are also plenty of opportunities for cosy evenings spent reading or playing games. The house has enough books and games for indoors and outdoors.
Up to two dogs can be brought along on request.

Location and surroundings of object
Surrounded by primeval forest, geest, marsh and moor, Southern Friesland on the North Sea forms one of the most beautiful holiday paradises in Northern Germany. From the idyllic little village of Bredehorn - it has already won several awards as the most beautiful village - you have the opportunity to explore the surrounding sights in a star-shaped way.
Numerous beautiful cycling routes through the Frisian coastal region await you, as do scenic hiking trails. Inline skaters also get their money's worth in the flat, wide countryside in the fresh North Sea air.
A real revelation for water fans are the North Sea beaches, the ebb and flow of the Jade Bay, the free bathing lake "Königssee" and the Lengen Sea.
The historic Neuenburg Castle as well as the Lower Saxony Mill Road, monastery farms, Jaderberg Zoo, Westerstede Bird Park or a moorland sheep farm are just a few of the many worthwhile excursion destinations in the area. Nature lovers will find good conditions for bird watching.
There is plenty of space for children to play and discover.
The free bathing lake "Königssee" with a beautiful white sandy beach is 3 km away. Bredehorn is a rural village which was voted the most beautiful village in Friesland in 1999, 2002 and 2005. It is situated in the Frisian Wehde between Wilhelmshaven and Oldenburg and close to the resort of Neuenburg (Neuenburg Castle, primeval forest and many other attractive sights). It is situated in the second row behind the seaside resorts, about 15 km from Dangast, Jadebusen.
Bredehorn has existed for over 600 years. in 1482, the stones of the old Vredehorn monastery (place of peace) were used to build the castle in Neuenburg.

Pleasant break with extended family in the countryside
Very nice accommodation far away from the hustle and bustle, unfortunately not much in the surrounding area, but since you know what you're getting, everything is fine & the accommodation itself is great!

Sauna area enthusiast
My boys and I were there for 2 days and enjoyed our time to the fullest. The weather was bad, but we still went on a small wagon tour (the countryside air smells particularly fresh in the rain). After that, we used the sauna and just sat together by the fireplace. The woman on site was really nice, and the weekend was all around beautiful!

Everything top!!!
We spent a family weekend with 19 people in the Köpkenhuus. There was enough space for everyone, the many bedrooms offer versatile possibilities of division. The kitchen is very large and cosy and invites you to cook together. The location is great, you can get to Varel or Dangast super quickly. If the weather cooperates, there is plenty of space outside and there are great opportunities for children to play.
The house manager Mrs. M. is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were very nicely welcomed and also seen off. Definitely a recommendation!

Sehr schöner Urlaub
We (a group of 6 disabled individuals and 2 caregivers) felt very comfortable at Köpkenhuus. The house is very clean and well-maintained with a beautiful large garden. We could sit and dine together in the garden and had plenty of space in the large kitchen. The handover was smooth, and our requests were fully taken into account. The house is located away from major roads, and shopping options are about a 15-minute drive away. The bathrooms available are very nice.

Dear guests, i grew up in beautiful Southern Friesland, near the Neuchâtel primeval forest, but now, as a single mother with my three children, I enjoy living in the city. Growing up in the countryside was the best thing that could have happened to me. So I opened my house in Friesland, the Köpkenhuus, to my guests to give you this feeling of breathing freely too - if only for a holiday. It is nice to pass on things that you yourself have found fulfilling. The Steiger-Gustav-Haus and Karl's Ferienhaus in the Harz Mountains are the counterparts to the Köpkenhuus. It is a beautiful contrast to Friesland and it has its very own flair. It is located in the heart of the Upper Harz and everything is within easy reach from here. The different seasons can be experienced intensively here. The largest continuous forest in Lower Saxony is here and invites you to take a deep breath. Wish you a wonderful time in the houses of the Eilerschen Heimat!
