Description
Our holiday home "Dieksteern" offers space for up to 4 people on 70sqm. Two friendly, bright bedrooms (on the 1st floor and in the attic) are each equipped with a double bed (180x200cm), chests of drawers and wardrobe. 2 shower bathrooms on the ground floor + on the 1st floor (renovated February 2021)) provide enough space for an occupancy of 4 persons. All skylights are equipped with mosquito blinds, so that the rooms can be ventilated without problems. The kitchen (new April 2021) on the ground floor is cosy and equipped with all the necessities, such as a 4-burner ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher The living-dining area, which is also on the ground floor, invites you to enjoy a cosy get-together in front of the fireplace or at the dining table. Directly from there you can go to the sheltered terrace. A sunshade protects you from the midday sun. You can barbecue on the terrace, read in the shade or go sunbathing! The lawn next to the terrace is a pure relaxation area, no playing area out of consideration for the neighbours.
Our holiday home is not looked after by an agency, but our guests are assisted by our housekeeper. She cleans in and around the house and makes up the beds on request, gets the firewood for the fireplace and takes care of small repairs if necessary.
In the meantime, the house has got new windows and a modern patio door, and we have also redesigned the front garden (Dec.'19). Our ambition is to constantly modernise the house.

Location and surroundings of object
The house "Dieksteern" promises quiet living with short distances to the lively life of the small village of Greetsiel. The side street has little traffic and ends in a large turning area. Shopping in the supermarket, stopping off at various restaurants, swimming and saunas in the thermal baths are all within a few minutes' walk. As we have redesigned the front garden in November 2019, there is now the possibility to park bicycles both in front of and behind the house. The 3-seater garden bench under the kitchen window in the front garden is a pleasantly shady place to read, relax and drink coffee, especially in the height of summer. We would like to point out that electric charging of e-cars is not permitted at the holiday home!

Day trips to the offshore islands of Borkum, Juist and Norderney are offered directly from Greetsiel harbour. Excursions with coffee and cake to the Leybucht lock through the nature reserve are also very popular. If you want to be a captain yourself, you can explore the surroundings on the Sielen by pedal boat or by rowing boat or canoe. Young holidaymakers can rent kettcars and explore the alleys of the village and the surrounding area. In the centre of Greetsiel you will find the thermal baths with sauna area and, just outside, fitness equipment, a mini-golf course, a beach volleyball court and an extensive playground.

Very beautiful holiday home.
We were not in this beautiful holiday home for the last time.
It has everything a nice vacation needs. Location of the house close to the village.
The amenities are completely sufficient, very cozy.
The housekeeper is simply great.
The contact is very good.
We felt very comfortable in the cozily furnished holiday home.
I can recommend it with complete peace of mind.
