The Holiday home

The owner has refurbished this 130 m2 villa in 2019 and much of the furniture is brand new or newly renovated in a rustic industrial style fitting the rest of the house. It offers 3 double bedrooms, 2 shower/ bathrooms, an open-plan airy dining-living area with double-height ceilings ( m), air-conditioning and a fully fitted kitchen. At the front of the house there is a covered two-part balcony, one in connection with the living area, where you have sliding windows – a very flexible space for windy days and when the windows are open they provide ventilation for the house. At the other end in direct connection with the dining area there is a dining table and a large gas plancha barbeque, where you can prepare meals for the family to eat outside or inside. Both part of the balcony offers uninterrupted panoramic views over the valley below and the surrounding villages.

The front door takes you into a hallway from where you access the fully fitted kitchen comprising a 4-ring hob (2 gas rings and two halogen rings), an electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge, freezer (in the adjoining utility room), nespresso, cafetière and filter coffee machines, toaster, electric kettle and much more making it very accommodating for preparing meals for family and friends. Through double glass doors you have access to the double-height ceiling living area with a new leather sofa, armchairs, large 50” flat-screen TV with French/English TV channels and Netflix. There is wireless free WIFI throughout the main accommodation and the terrace. The living area is in direct connection with the dining area with a 6-person newly renovated dining table. From this end you have direct access to the covered balcony and the pool area. The pool area is fenced from the parking area accessed via a travertine staircase and the pool also has an alarm for further safety for small children.

Upstairs you have two of the three bedrooms, which have both been newly refurbished with new beds and mattresses. Each has a double bed (160*200 cm) and fitted wardrobes. Between the two bedrooms you find a likewise newly refurbished shower room with walk-in shower, glass screen, basin with cupboard and a further fitted cupboard. On the landing is a separate toilet. For the living area you have the option of using the air-conditioning to keep confortable during the hot months.

At the garden level you have separate access to the third bedroom also with a new double bed/mattress (160*200 cm) with an en-suite bath/shower room with toilet, basin and fitted wardrobes. This room has it’s own covered terrace and could be convenient for teenage children or grandparents wanting their own space from time to time.

All bedroom windows are fitted with sliding mosquito screens, so you can open the windows for ventilation at night, when the air is cooler.

The house also offers a washing machine (in the utility room next to the kitchen), hair dryer and iron/ironing board for your convenience.

Location and surroundings of object

Just outside the Provençale village of Taradeau in the Var region situated in an elevated position overlooking the Florieye valley and the Maures mountains sits this villa for 6 persons with private swimming pool and lots of useful outdoor space for socialising and having a family holiday or a getaway for friends or couples. Up a private driveway the house is positioned on a plot facing south at the end of a cul-de-sac with much privacy in tranquil surroundings with mature local plants, a large palm tree and stonewalls. There is a free-form pool (approx. 8 x 4 m) with a shallow end for children and a deeper for swimmers. A travertine-tiled terrace surrounds the pool, which also has a stone walls to one side and 180 deg uninterrupted views to the other with 6 sun loungers, a large 8-12 person dining table, a big remote controlled awning, parasols and large trees to provide the most important shade during the hot hours of the day. At the back of the property a large forest invites you to go for walks in the shade of the large trees.
There is ample private parking for 4-5 cars in front of the house and the front gates – when closed – provide extra safety and makes the garden fully enclosed.
Dogs are welcome on conditions.

Obligatory end cleaning is paid on arrival and amounts to €225.
Optional bed linen is charged at € per person and bath towels (not to be used by the pool) at € per person paid on arrival. We have a limited number of pool towels, which you can rent at 10 Euro per towel.

Payment conditions:
There will be made a rental agreement in the booking process, where the tenant will pay 25% of the total rental price as a deposit within a week. 8 weeks before arrival the remaining 75% of the rent plus the safety deposit (€1300) is paid. The safety deposit will be paid back to the tenant after successful end inspection of the property, at the latest 7 days after departure by bank transfer.
