Description

The 2.5 room Rustico Gatto can accommodate 2 to 4 people and consists of a living and dining room, an open kitchen and shower / WC. Upstairs is the bedroom and a pull out bed in the open anteroom at the staircase. Large wooden table under the pergola in the garden terrace with a small front yard, a patio with local stone table under the shady trees and a sun terrace with sun loungers. Reserved parking space available.
The adjacent adjoining Rustico "Topolino" can be booked. Thus, you can accommodate up to 7 people. (Prices and booking at Gatto & Topolino).

Agarone is a small village on the hillside above Cugnasco (about 3 km away from it). Located at the foot of the Monte di Colla and on the northern edge of the Magadino plane. The rustic houses lie at the edge of the hamlet Medoscio, in a quiet sunny location, next to the forest. To the parking lot leads an approximately 100 m long narrow road. From the parking lot a footpath leads through the village to the house (about 70 m). Bus stop "Paese" in 100 m. Locarno is 12 km away. Shops in Cugnasco. Good starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours.

The village Tenero is more and less 8 km away and is situated direct on the lake Maggiore and has a special attraction: the tranquility of the lake surrounded by mountains, the beaches with white sand and the surrounding area with its vineyards creating an exciting but for all that relaxing atmosphere that leaves no visitor unmoved.
The area has also an artistic and cultural side you can discover. It is a perfect starting point for trips or comfortable biking tours on the Magadino plain.
The Galleria Matasci with the museum of wine and the oratorio from Fraccia in Tenero are lovely to visit. One of the most popular place of interests are the “Bolle di Magadino”, a transition from water and land in the estuary of the river Ticino and Verzasca.
The region Tenero offers al type of events which brings much variety on your stay, to name just a few: exhibitions, markets, festivals, wine festivals, wine tasting, village festivals, country, jazz, folk music and classical music concerts, vintage car meeting for cars and motorcycles, the Commercial Fair.
North of Tenero is the Val Verzasca, this valley is certainly one of the most famous in Ticino. A beautiful wild mountain valley which the clear water of the Verzasca River has dug. Very popular in summer are the laps abraded shore rocks swimming spots. In autumn, you can take beautiful walks along the river.
Tenero-Verzasca has an extensive network of hiking trails of around 300 km, which leaves nothing to be desired: from relaxing walks along the lakefront, sports courses or theme trails to high mountain tours with breathtaking views, to quicken the heart of any mountain walker.
If you like playing sports if you like to stay outside; you find in the region a wide range of interesting possibilities. Tenero has a public beach directly on the lake and a swimming pool where you can have fun in the water or can sunbathe on the lawn.

Those seeking solitude will find the Rustico Gatto to be the perfect place. It offers an absolutely stress-free, very quiet living experience. However, it is not very convenient to get around there without a car.
