Description

Our cosy holiday flat has one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with 2 single beds. On request, we can provide you with a cot. The spacious living room , with integrated kitchen and dining area invites you to linger comfortably. Our bathroom has a shower and window. A washing machine and dryer (coin-operated) are available in the complex. There is a small playground and a barbecue area on the property. You will find parking spaces directly at the house. We have a bicycle garage for your bicycles

Nessmersiel is a small, quiet coastal village with a beach and harbour. Good shopping facilities can be found only 200 metres from our several restaurants and cafés are available here Indoor playground is only 5 minutes away from the Schwalbennest.

Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful large and ground-level apartment. Very clean. Everything you need is there. It is pleasantly quiet, but a good location for excursions throughout East Frisia. The price is affordable and the communication with the owner and the manager was very pleasant. Overall, highly recommended.

Beautiful vacation

We spent a few beautiful days in the Swallow's Nest in July.
In our vacation apartment, everything necessary was there, it is nicely furnished and clean.

This accommodation can absolutely not be recommended; it lacks everything. Not only does this apartment appear and feel loveless, dark, and completely cold, but also the cups and cutlery, etc., are completely dirty and have old, hard food residues dried between the forks. Furthermore, if you rent bed linen, you simply get a basket with laundry and towels placed in front of you, and you have to put it on yourself. Additionally, there are no garbage bags available. In general, this is definitely the worst we have had. Dogs are allowed here, but there is no fenced property where the furry friend can play outside. I personally found the reception from the woman who handed us the apartment very unfriendly, rushed, and she just wanted to get everything over with quickly. This apartment does not deserve its price at all. The owner of this vacation apartment should think about doing something before she loses more guests, because this is absolutely a no-go.

Overall okay, but the holiday apartment lacks many small frustrating things:
First of all: The washing machine is there according to the advertisement, but every wash costs money. That should be stated in the ad, as it is unexpected, and €5 is expensive. Families wash almost every day, which adds up to another €10-20. Additionally, you have to share the washing machines, as not every household has one. Then there is the overall meager equipment of the kitchen. The cheapest (plastic-smelling) kettle from the Tedi market, which also lacks a base and sits as a whole with the cable in the socket, so it can't be taken out and filled. There is no dishwasher (at least that's stated in the advertisement), dull knives, tiny completely abused cutting boards, dented pans with degraded Teflon coating, only 2 large cups, and only 4 plates (per size). Then there is an inappropriate faucet installed at the sink, which is much too small with two primitive valves and no mixing tap. Washing dishes is uncomfortable with that. And the highlight is a microwave that is hardly usable because it is built into the cabinet and therefore only opens halfway; more than a cup cannot be pushed inside. The living room is dark in the evenings; there are only a few poorly distributed lamps in the room, the armchair back is broken and always reclined to the maximum. And there are no mosquito nets on the windows; at least there is a fly swatter. Then there is a demand for waste separation, but there is only one trash can in the house. We then walked out every evening with the daily household waste to the bins. Finally, there was the fluctuating water temperature in the shower, as the water heater constantly switched (it clicked in the wall all the time), so you constantly had to adjust it. The biggest sins are therefore the hidden costs of the washing machine and the meager kitchen equipment. 3/5

Insgesamt ok, aber die Ferienwohnung mangelt an vielen kleinen frustrierenden Dingen: Vorweg: Die Waschmaschine ist laut Anzeige da, aber jeder Waschgang kostet Geld. Das sollte in der Anzeige stehen, denn das ist unerwartet, und 5€ sind teuer. Familien waschen fast jeden Tag, das schlägt nochmal mit 10-20€ zu. Noch dazu muss man sich die Waschmaschinen teilen, denn nicht jeder Haushalt hat eine. Dann ist da die insgesamt dürftige Ausstattung der Küche. Der billigste (nach Plastik riechende) Wasserkocher vom Tedi Markt, der zudem keine Basis hat, sondern als ganzes mit Kabel in der Steckdose sitzt, also herausnehmen und einfüllen geht nicht. Es existiert keine Spülmaschine (immerhin steht das in der Anzeige), stumpfe Messer, winzige völlig mishandelte Schneidbretter, zerbeulte Pfannen mit degradierter Teflonschicht, nur 2 große Tassen und nur 4 Teller (pro Größe). Dann ist da ein unpassender Wasserhahn am Spülbecken eingebaut, der viel zu klein ist mit zwei primitiven Ventilen und ohne Mischhahn. Geschirrspülen ist damit unbequem. Und das Highlight ist eine Mikrowelle, die sich kaum bedienen lässt, weil sie im Schrank verbaut ist und deshalb nur zur Hälfte auf geht, mehr als eine Tasse lässt sich nicht hinein schieben. Das Wohnzimmer ist abends dunkel, es gibt nur wenig und schlecht im Raum verteilte Lampen, die Sessellehne ist kaputt und immer maximal zurückgelehnt. Und es existieren keine Fliegengitter an den Fenstern, immerhin gibt es eine Fliegenklatsche. Dann wird nach Mülltrennung verlangt, aber es existiert nur ein Mülleimer im Haus. Wir liefen dann jeden Abend mit dem täglichen Hausmüll zu den Tonnen hinaus. Zuletzt war da die wechselnde Wassertemperatur in der Dusche, weil der Durchlauferhitzer ständig umschaltete (es klickte in der Wand ständig), somit musste man ständig nachregeln. Die größten Sünden sind demnach die versteckten Kosten der Waschmaschine, und die dürftige Küchenausstattung. 3/5
