The Friedrich Wagner Bookshop is one of the best bookshops in Germany and the cultural centre of the city. Since 15 October 2001, the FRIEDRICH-WAGNER-BUCHHANDLUNG has been back under its old name and with a new look that includes a wide range of books and a variety of book-related activities. Readings, exhibitions, a film series and concerts have become an integral part of the cultural life of the region. in 2003, we were named a 'beacon of the book trade landscape'.
In 2004, we were awarded the first Culture Prize of the town of Ueckermünde. In January 2005, we started a joint film series with the Ueckermünde cinema and a month later, the KunstRaum (Art Room) also provided a forum for the visual arts. in 2009, we received the Space Pioneer Award from the Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development.
In 2004, we were awarded the first Culture Prize of the City of Ueckermünde. this was followed in 2015 by the first-ever German Bookshop Award with the rating 'Outstanding Bookshop' and in 2016 by the main prize of the German Bookshop Award, as 'Best Bookshop'. in 2017, the Friedrich Wagner Bookshop was awarded the title of 'Most Beautiful German Bookshop', and the owner was honoured with the honorary award of the city of Ueckermünde.

Wonderful apartment in a perfect location
Wonderful apartment in a perfect location. From the moment you walk in, the spacious living area makes you feel right at home. It’s fully equipped with everything you might need for a short stay or even an extended one—I could easily stay for months. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.

Better cannot be.
This charming vacation rental / apartment is located in the heart of the village - the walking distances are short and everything is reachable within a few minutes on foot. The furnishings of the apartment are perfect - with great attention to detail. You immediately feel at home.

The flat is equipped with everything you need. If you want to cook yourself, you will find an extremely well-stocked kitchen. Central location, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The stairs upstairs take a bit of getting used to and the door locks were a challenge at times, but quite appropriate for the age and so all with a certain charm! And the picture perfect cats were a joy to us every day! With all the books, a real paradise for bookworms!!!

"Wow, and look, here are two Galore magazines. The bed is really comfortable. And the furnishings are so understated and very tasteful. The kitchen is more than adequately equipped, it's like being at home. Are you listening to me?"
"Hmmmm," absorbed in reading. "Have you seen the book about legends and stories from the Uecker-Randow district? Or look here, Uwe Johnson, I've always wanted to read him." "On my nightstand lies André Meier, you know, the author from the magazine."

"It's a shame we have to leave already. But I don't think it's the last time we were here. The innkeeper's wine was fabulous. The city and the region are definitely worth a second visit. And next time, we'll wake up earlier so we can browse around the bookstore extensively."
