Description
Our family-friendly holiday homes are spacious and modernly furnished. They are centrally heated, have a balcony or terrace, TV, shower/WC, mostly bathtub and are also ideal for friendly couples, families and larger groups (total number of beds without extra beds: 45).
Our holiday home type C has 110 m² on one level . Have breakfast on the panoramic balcony amidst the scent of the forest trees or in the spacious living room. Whether you want to enjoy it alone or with a maximum of 8 other friends is up to you.
In our holiday home type C you will find on an area of 110 m² a large cosy living and dining room with fireplace, three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and toilet, another separate toilet, a balcony, a storage room, central heating, flat screen TV, radio. Washing machine and dryer are in the main house for communal use for a fee.

On our grounds there is a fireplace, several streams, rich mushroom forests and fragrant herb meadows. You can start directly from here on adventurous hikes and challenging mountain bike tours.
In the immediate vicinity you will find a wide network of ski trails and cross-country ski runs. Numerous ski lifts for all levels of difficulty offer alpine skiing fun for everyone.
By the way: In the region, extraordinary attractions such as castles and palaces, show mines, glass-blowing factories, zoos or summer toboggan runs offer very special experiences. You can find more information here.
In addition, numerous cities worth visiting such as Ilmenau, Erfurt, Weimar, Oberhof, Meiningen, Jena or Coburg can be reached within about an hour's drive.

Well-developed hiking trails lead directly from the holiday village to explore the forest. The Rennsteig, Germany's most famous long-distance hiking trail, entices you to take longer hikes and enjoy magnificent viewpoints. The wild and romantic Schwarzatal valley, themed trails such as the Panorama Trail, the Goethe Hiking Trail, the Mushroom Trail or the Planet Trail for children offer varied paths.
Directly from our facility, you can hike extensively in the fresh forest air, observe wildlife and set off on varied mountain bike tours. Here you will find a wonderful hiking, cycling and skiing paradise.
Thuringia offers many unusual attractions such as castles, palaces, show mines, caves and grottos for very special experiences above and below ground. The picturesque view from the Goldisthal pumped storage reservoir, completed in 2003, over the valleys and plateaus of the Thuringian Forest fascinates every hiker.
A ride on the Oberweißbach mountain railway could be the starting point for a circular hike. Perhaps you would rather try your luck at panning for gold on the Gold Trail along the Schwarza and Gümpen rivers: a wedding ring made of gold you have panned yourself is certainly the right basis for a lasting love.
Thuringian specialities, apart from the famous Thuringian bratwurst, are the wonderful potato dumplings. In the unique dumpling press museum in Großbreitenbach you can learn how the famous dumplings are actually made, and in other museums you can look over the shoulders of a glassblower or a porcelain painter for a change. Numerous museums tempt you to go on cultural excursions, you will find details in your house guide in your holiday home.
Großbreitenbach has 40 km of scenic cross-country ski trails and ski touring paths. In all the surrounding municipalities there is a further varied range of cross-country skiing and downhill skiing. The nearest cross-country trail at the Andrea Henkel biathlon stadium is 1.5 km away.
Ski lifts with ski rental and ski school are already about 4 km away in Altenfeld or about 9 km away in Masserberg.
If the weather is bad, dive into the water world in the "Saalemaxx adventure pool" with its numerous indoor and outdoor water and brine pools, with current channel, underwater music, slides, steam grottos and, and, and ..

Relaxing holiday!
The setting speaks for itself. Quiet, in the midst of nature, a well-kept small facility, manageable and family-friendly. Children can romp outside, play by the creek, build little huts... Parents can relax and watch from the balcony. A very successful vacation.

Great wooden holiday home embedded in nature on stilts with a green roof. Unique nature experience, great house, plenty of space, very good layout for a large family, attractive furnishings, and very good amenities.

Everything is fine!
Very nice holiday home in a great location in the Thuringian Forest. Here, everything is still in order, the landlords are friendly and helpful, feeling comfortable is the maxim here.

Satisfied all round!
We did not miss anything. Great view, bright sunny house, well equipped, nicely furnished.
Hiking right from the front door. There was still snow in places, but we had great spring weather.
