Description

We didn't spare any effort or ideas, but we did spare every inch to make this attic flat what it is: a pretty ingenious attic maisonette with a nostalgic atmosphere! From the separate entrance on the ground floor you enter a small hallway with stairs to the attic. The main room, from which only the shower room has been separated, is loosely divided into kitchen, dining, living and sleeping area (bed ). It has seven windows on three sides. The open half-timbered beams of the gable wall were lined with old bricks. A half-spiral staircase leads to a gallery floor with standing height under the ridge (bed ). In the kitchen there are only handmade custom-made fixtures made of solid wood (including walnut). The latest technology and old rustic elements have been skilfully integrated. Individual lamp creations, decorative tiles, many collector's items from the rural, maritime environment and from travels and love of detail make this flat unique.

Location and surroundings of object

Neuendorf is one of three villages on the peninsula Gnitz together with about 360 residents. The peninsula lies Gnitz as part of the south of the Baltic Sea island of Usedom Zinnowitz off the beaten track. It is surrounded on three sides by outgrowths of the Peene, the backwaters and the Krumminer Wiek. Zinnowitz, with all shops, petrol station, cinema, pubs and the railway station, drive 4 km to Neuendorf.
