rapeseed blossom on the numerous fields. Summer invites you to swim and enjoy a variety of water sports as well as city tours, animal parks such as Bear Forest and the wildlife park in Güstrow with its wolf enclosure.

All our properties are located on the same plot with an area of 3500 sqm. A former farmhouse has been transformed into a small, individual holiday idyll according to taste and need.
From the property, you have direct access to the river, where you are welcomed by 2 boat docks with an included rowboat and a Hollywood swing.
A small boat you bring along can also be moored here for water excursions on the Elde.
Our bathing lake, the Kritzower See, is 2.5 km away and can be reached by bicycle on the cycle path or by car. Free swimming at Barkow beach, moderate swimming with amenities and water slide at Broock beach pool invite you
Plau am See approx. 6 km away.
Our village is located at the crossroads with an average of 1 hour by car or 60-90 km to the worth-seeing places such as:

Holiday apartments:
The two holiday apartments are located on the upper floor of our residential house on one level.
They offer ample space, especially for 2 families with children.
Depending on the group composition, the apartments and rooms can be easily combined.
All rooms are equipped with TV, 3*shower/WC.
Apartment 2 also has a kitchen-living room that offers space for 4-6 people.
Additionally, guests have their own separate barbecue area (grill courtyard), enclosed in greenery. Our property:

A former farmhouse
with approx. 3500 sqm of land and direct access to the river, your children can move around freely here.
There is a separate barbecue area with a sunbathing lawn and, for the children, a swing and a sandbox. Camping furniture, grill. You can access the bank of the Elde directly from the property and start your canoe trip or boat ride with our free rowboat for fishing or hiking.
The nearby sports field offers opportunities for volleyball and soccer.
Parking space for cars available.
Convenient location and transport connections to Schwerin, Waren, Waren-Müritz, Plau, Plau am See, Röbel, Krakow am See, Güstrow, Rostock, and the Baltic Sea, all destinations reachable by car in approx. 1 hour to reach

Vacation
For several years now, we have been spending the best time of the year, namely the vacation, with the Ottemann family in Barkow on the Mecklenburg Lake District. We always like to come back and are already looking forward to the coming year. The Ottemann family is always helpful and is gladly available for questions. Wolz / Surma vacation 2023
We found it very very great. Not only that you can go directly to the canal from the house and drive through the canal with the boat. But also that you don't need to drive far to go shopping.
The owners are very nice and helpful.

There is a lot to explore :)
You can make great trips in all directions. There's something for everyone. There are some nice bike tours included. The multitude of lakes are wonderful. We thank our hosts who were always friendly. Stay healthy and keep it up :)

Holiday in one of the most beautiful federal states
For some years now we have been spending the most beautiful time of the year, namely our holidays, with the Ottemann family in Barkow in the Mecklenburg Lake District,
The Ottemann family has a very beautiful property, where you can see immediately that there is a lot of attention to detail, the flat is clean and spacious,
We have already been here a few times and are looking forward to our holiday in August with the Ottemann family. I would also like to mention that the property is located directly on the Elde and there is nothing in the way of a boat trip with a rowing boat or motorboat and for me it is always nice to grab the fishing rod
