You would like to rent our mainly privately used domicile for your North Sea vacation? Welcome, be our guests!
At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, you will reach our typical planted, 400 sqm plot, right on the edge of your private car parking space. The unfenced garden offers around the detached cottage many sunny and shady places to stay or play. The large southwest terrace in front of the living-dining area catches the sun until the evening hours. And the well-protected lawn area to the southeast with its shady edge vegetation creates privacy, while at the same time allows unobstructed views of the expansive fields at the quiet edge of the park - ideal for relaxing in a deck chair. Much in the garden and house has just been redesigned to even more holiday quality.
The living-dining area behind the wide glass front to the terrace is characterized by the interesting mix of antique oak furniture with current design objects. Whether from the modern leather sofa to the stylish Vertiko to the kitchen unit at the entrance side, from the Gateleg dining table over the fireplace to the spiral wooden staircase - there are always interesting visual references, which extend beyond the two narrow side windows to the garden. The open fireplace underlines the relaxed atmosphere. On the northeast side next to entrance door and hallway is also separately accessible from the outside Berging with washing machine, garden utensils and household items, the combi-heating ensures a year-round operation of the holiday home use. From the entrance hall with cloakroom, the shower room with toilet is directly accessible, another toilet room is located upstairs next to the bedrooms. While the floor on the ground floor was tiled throughout, we have relocated a linoleum floor in the attic - friendly and easy to keep allergy sufferers clean.
The two bedrooms each over the entire gable width of the upper floor of about 5 m offer spacious room with beds for 4 adults (1 double bed, 2 single beds). Free up to the ridge, you can breathe deeply, read in the comfortable reading chairs in peace or just enjoy the view over the park. For toddlers, we also have travel cots and high chairs with a small table - and the popular TripTrap for the not so small. And for the bigger and bigger ones, there is also a hobby / workplace with armchair and work desk for eg undisturbed internet surfing - both objects from our antique collection.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the house and garden, for TV with international and German channels or the enjoyment of music from the stereo system, the space in the living room next to the fireplace over the sofa designed. And a special headphone set spares family peace during, for example, sports broadcasts or morning children's programs ...
We appreciate good food and that's why Orange Press, Raclette & Fondue Set ... are available. Stylish crockery for diners or high tea indoors and out can be found here as well as matching accessories. Feeling good with ambience is a central motto of our holiday home 21 in the Park De Wielen.
Coffe break! Enjoy the privacy of the garden, play a round of croquet, badminton or softball with the children on the lawn in front of the garden pavilion, relax in the deck chair before your appointment to the sports boule, the cable cars next to the canteen house are at your leisure ...
Rainy days, even in the Netherlands! An entire cupboard full of board games, many books and music CDs make even those days a family experience. Or heat up the open fireplace, some logs are always in the basket, more woods can be found in many farms in the neighboring villages.
We like to play golf, but we are not professionals. You can use our golf club set with care, recommendable places near Schagen can be reached with wheels.
From May to the end of September, young and old can enjoy themselves in the tranquil outdoor pool of the park - free of charge and less than 200 meters from the house. Parents enjoy the day on the terrace of the small park-gastronomy, children romp around in the heated children's pool, have fun on the large playground and the sports fields. There is no leisure stress here, enough space is available ... and maybe even carp for the evening from the Weil - fishing licenses are available at the park management.

Location and surroundings of object
Out of mass tourism, it takes only a stone's throw to private holiday park De Wielen on the North Holland North Sea coast. Feel well in Sint Maarten - about 4 km from the sea and the tranquil town of Schagen away - located directly on the old Wielen in the shelter of over 500 years old West Frisian dike. Here you are close to many tourist destinations and enjoy the serene tranquility of cultivated neighborhood in urban quality. So you can also in "Schiet weather times" completely unspectacular z. For example, we can visit spectacular concerts and art exhibitions opposite us in the Kerk in the neighboring village of Valkkoog. They buy milk and meat directly from the organic farmer in the village, cycle around the corner to the eco-store with a full assortment. Vegan - no problem, conscious shopping is a matter of course here in the countryside. And also the garden and kitchen herbs in the holiday house garden can - depending on the season / Wetterlage- like to be harvested, just not our many flowers along the garden borders ...
The private park De Wielen with its total of 50 holiday homes, some chalets and caravan sites on the outskirts of the town of Sint Maarten is surrounded on all sides and surrounded by canals. Our approximately 400 sqm plot is located on the quiet eastern edge of the park. The central facilities in the park such as outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool, "canteen house", playground and sports fields are only two minutes away on foot, but far enough away for holidays in house 21 outside of noise, traffic and visitor tricks. Immediately at the park entrance and the visitor parking lot are two natural lakes with hiking trails, fishing jetties and resting places, into which also the canals lead around the park area.
The most important holiday destinations in the vicinity are all easily reachable by bicycle or by many means of transport. The historic town of Schagen with its cafes, shops, museum, castle and the city harbor is best explored by bicycle and then on foot; Alternatively you can take the bus to Sint Maarten from Schagen station. To visit the unique nature reserve "Wildrijk" with its wild hyacinths under the old trees, the bike is enough. For a spring trip to the tulip park of Anna Paulowna near Den Helder then the use of motor power is recommended.
The nearest North Sea beach is the beach lagoon in Sint Maartenzee with extensive sandy beaches, dune edges and beach restaurants. Located in front of the coastal road is an inn with playground, tourist attractions and a large, mostly free parking. The 800 m access path through the dune area to the beach can also be well managed by plating with a stroller, walker or wheelchair - alternatively, the city occasionally offers a transport service by electric golf cart. Many other beach walks and stretches of beach on the North Holland west coast are followed: to the north starting with Callantsoog via Julianadorp up to Den Helder, or south via Petten, Schoorl down to Bergen aan Zee. For your change on beach holidays so care is taken, each beach section and the neighboring villages have their own character. And you need no more than a maximum of 30 minutes by car from De Wielen to all holiday destinations on Kop van Noord-Holland.
Thanks to the Schagen long-distance train connection, the metropolis of Amsterdam can be easily reached by train in about one hour, the cheese market in Alkmaar or the port city of Den Helder in just under 30 minutes. And then from Den Helder you go by ship across the ocean into the wide world - or at least by ferry for a day trip to the nearby island of Texel.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Beautiful, wonderfully furnished holiday home
We have been there several times and have enjoyed our holiday very much each time
The beach can be reached quickly by bike, as can the very interesting village of Schagen. The holiday park De Wielen is quiet and well-kept and offers a pleasant Dutch ambience
The cottage is ideally situated at the end of the park. So that it is always nice and quiet, even in the peak holiday season, and you can enjoy the large garden
We will definitely be back!

Comfortable holiday home with very beautiful garden
The holiday home is located on the edge of a holiday park and has a very beautiful green and opaque garden. In the holiday park, there is a communal pool, which is especially suitable for children as the North Sea is a bit further away. The service from the landlord was great. We would love to come back sometime.

Cute cottage with large garden and tasteful furnishings
We had a great time in the cute little house, which was furnished with a lot of love.
The weather was great for the time of year, so we could explore the surroundings on dry feet. Every evening we made ourselves comfortable in front of the fireplace.
The house is very well equipped, there is even a fat-free deep fryer so that you can make your own Dutch specialities. There is also nothing else missing, every cooking idea could be realised. You could have baked yourself.
The park is idyllic and both the beach and the charming village of Schagen are within cycling distance.
The contact was nice, there was a lot of information available for us and the handover went smoothly.
Absolutely recommended!

We - Sabine, Dieter, Bine, Stefan and Lily - use, maintain and design together house 21 in De Wielen as a family home by the sea. Former profession of the older generation, design and transformation are now our hobby. Wellbeing combined with ambience is our concern ... and we would like to share this with you as our guests.
