Description
Outdoor area: the typical island thatched house is located in a recreational area between the beach and the wooded hinterland of the island paradise of Rügen. The park-like garden can be used completely and has a paved driveway and parking space. On the large terrace in front of the house, which is equipped with garden furniture and a brick barbecue, the holiday can begin. The roof terrace on the outbuilding spoils you with sunbathing and relaxing. The holiday home is the ideal starting point for exploring the diverse natural area of the surroundings. Numerous cycling and hiking trails tempt you to use them - especially in the company of a "four-legged friend", who is very welcome here.
Interior: On the ground floor, a spacious living area with a large glass front, reading corner, TV and radio, tiled stove and fireplace invites you to a cosy stay. The kitchen, fully equipped with a dining area, cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and refrigerator, is openly connected to the living area. A small freezer is also available. The hallway with wardrobe leads to a small household corner and the bathroom with washbasin, shower, toilet and washer-dryer as well as the two bedrooms upstairs via a staircase. One of the bedrooms is equipped with a double bed, the other with a single bed and a sofa bed with spring mattresses and slatted frame. The comfortable fold-out sofa bed can be used either as a sofa or as a bed with a lying surface of 80 or 160 cm. A child seat and cot are also available.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located on an approx. 1300 m², completely fenced, idyllic natural plot on the edge of the forest on a side path to the road between Sassnitz and Binz just outside the village of Neu Mukran. Not far away are the flintstone fields, which are unique in Europe. The attractive holiday resort of Binz with its magnificent spa architecture is only a few minutes' drive away, and the harbour town of Sassnitz, only five kilometres away, with its charming old town centre and harbour pier with museum mile, offers the best opportunities for shopping, gastronomy and leisure activities. Sassnitz is also the starting point for visiting the Jasmund National Park with its famous chalk cliffs. The holiday home also impresses with its immediate proximity to the Baltic Sea. The natural beach, which can be reached by a short walk of about 150 metres, merges into the wonderful sandy beach at Prorer Wiek, which stretches 12 kilometres to Binz.

We discovered our great enthusiasm for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the German Baltic coast during a motorbike tour in 2008. Further visits to this enchanting natural and cultural region followed, which finally led to the purchase of our "dream house" on Rügen. We (Ingo Heiland and Beate Finkbeiner) enjoy using the house as a holiday home, but also share it with great pleasure with our holiday guests. Our "children", Tonja and Manuel Weber with their partners, also love the "little house" and take care of it during our absence - due to our jobs we are often in the USA. The team is completed by our caretakers, Dirk and Britta Bergmann, who maintain the house and grounds and are our helpers on site in case of questions and problems.
