Holiday home for 4 persons, living/dining room with integrated kitchen, 1 shower room on the ground floor, terrace/garden, first floor: 1 bedroom with bathroom en suite double bed 180x200m, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. 3 bicycles are available for free use during the stay. Free WLAN, free landline for calls to the German landline. The parking space for your car is right next to the house and is secured by a barrier. The lower floor is completely tiled, the 1st floor has vinyl flooring. On the terrace there is a barbecue, table, 4 chairs and 2 sunbeds. In the house games and books are waiting for big and small guests.
All windows and the terrace door are equipped with fly screens. A new set of seats (May 2021) is also waiting for guests.
If there is a lockdown during the period you have booked and you are therefore not allowed to travel, you will of course be refunded the money you have already paid.
Bed linen and towels can be rented for a fee or brought along. Please specify when booking if required!

Location and surroundings of object
Altfunnixsiel is 5 km from Carolinensiel and the North Sea and is a small idyllic village directly on the little river Harle. Water sports are available here; canoes can be rented from the local water sports club during opening hours. The Harle is also ideal for fishing or you can bring your rubber dinghy. There is a shop in the village from Easter to the end of October, where you can buy bread rolls (gladly on advance order), groceries etc. or just enjoy a tea/coffee in a cosy round with a "Klönsnack". You can reach the restaurant "Geilen's Kutscherkroog" on foot, distance 50m.

The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, there is a playground 50m away. The neighbour's chickens take a walk through the garden from time to time, but they probably only lay eggs in their own nests at home - we haven't found any yet! In Werdum (4km towards Esens) there is a pet park, a bakery and a baking house where children can bake bread or biscuits on special days. You can also use the Kneipp facility here or enjoy a tasty beer in the brewery. Werdum is easily accessible by bike, as is Carolinensiel. There you will find a seawater pool near the beach, many restaurants and cafes, and in bad weather the Sielhafen Museum invites you to visit it, which is also worthwhile in good weather! From Carolinensiel you can book a sailing course, go on sailing trips and sail to the island of Wangerooge. Perhaps you like brown bread baked in the old tradition without preservatives? Then drive to Middoge to the Schoof bakery, which has already been visited by the NDR. Take a stroll to Norden, Esens, Aurich or Moordorf to the Moor Museum. Leer also invites you to take a stroll, and the small old town is particularly recommended. The many small towns also invite you to take a detour, e.g. Ihlow with its monastery garden, Wiesmoor with its peat and settlement museum, Leer with its beautiful old town or Papenburg, where there is a fantastic ice cream opposite the church, a MUST for ice cream fans!

Very nice, quiet holiday apartment.
The vacation apartment is super equipped, the beds are great. Nice landlady and also very nice neighbors. Quietly located, but the North Sea is quickly within reach. You can relax on the terrace in the middle of nature.

The house was very clean and comfortably furnished, so that you felt at home. We will definitely come back again. Mrs Rau is also a very nice hostess. 5 stars are appropriate here.

TOP holiday home
We had a wonderful holiday home in the small village of Altfunnixsiel - very clean and cosy. Nothing was missing.... the insect screen windows are particularly noteworthy - great :-).
Thank you for the welcome - the wine was very tasty.
We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again

Super great and clean vacation rental in a quiet location.
The holiday apartment is located in a great and quiet location. From there, you can start great bike tours and you are only a few kilometers away from the sea. The apartment is super clean and has everything you need. On the ground floor there is a nice open kitchen with dining area and transition to the great living room with a nice seating group. From there you can reach the terrace. The furnishings are very tasteful and you feel comfortable very quickly. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a great large TV in the living room (but we didn't need it). In the entrance area you get a nice wardrobe and a small bathroom. The two bedrooms can be reached via the wooden stairs. What can I say, super nice rooms. A children's room with 2 single beds and lots of games for the children. The bedroom with the bathroom is opposite and really great. The beds are super comfortable and everything is so clean. (unfortunately, we have experienced it differently in other apartments) Overall, we give this place 10 out of 10 stars. The apartment is on our list of the best and we will be happy to book here again. We were here with 2 children and 2 adults and had more than enough space.

Super schönes Ferienhaus
Wir sind eine 3- Köpfige Familie mit einem fast 5- jährigen Sohn. Der Urlaub im Muschelstüvchen war wirklich schön. Der Garten lädt zum Verweilen und Grillen ein. Ein Spielplatz mit Rutsche und Schaukeln ist am Anfang der Straße und war für unseren Sohn das absolute Highlight. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet.
Leider war durch Corona der Dorfshop und die Gaststätte vor Ort nicht vorhanden. Wir waren aber täglich in Carolinensiel und Harlesiel.
Ich würde die Unterkunft eher Familien mit größeren Kindern empfehlen.
Wir kommen bestimmt in ein paar Jahren wieder.

Rundum zufrieden

es war ein wunder schöner Urlaub. im Ferienhaus wo alles vorhanden ist konnte man sich erholen. Die Umgebung war sauber und verkehrsarm so das unsere Enkeltochter mit ihren Tretroller rum sausen konnte. Es gab auch Unterhaltung im Ort und der Strand war auch nicht weit

Sommerurlaub#Erholung##Sonne#Meer#Pferde
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Altfunnixsiel und Umgebung verbracht. Die Ferienwohnung bietet alles was Mensch so braucht. Die Pferde in der Nachbarschaft waren für unsere Töchter natürlich ein Highlight.Es gibt so viel zu sehen und zu tun, dass wir es leider nicht in 7 Tagen geschafft haben. Daher kommen wir gerne wieder.
