Description
Vacation home for 4 people, living/dining room with integrated kitchen, 1 shower room /toilet on the ground floor, terrace/garden, upstairs: 1 bedroom with en suite bathroom/toilet double bed 180x200m, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. 3 bicycles are available for free use during the stay. Free Wi-Fi, free landline connection for calls to the German fixed network. The parking space for your vehicle is located to the left of the house and is secured by a barrier. The lower floor is fully tiled and equipped with additional underfloor heating, with vinyl laid on the 1st floor. A grill, table with 4 chairs are available on the terrace. Inside the house, games and books await guests of all ages.
All windows and the patio door are equipped with fly screens.
Bed linens and towels can be rented for a fee or brought along. Please specify if needed when booking!

Location and surroundings of object
Altfunnixsiel is 5 km from Carolinensiel and the North Sea and is a small idyllic village directly on the little river Harle. Water sports are available here; canoes can be rented from the local water sports club during opening hours. The Harle is also ideal for fishing or you can bring your rubber dinghy. There is a shop in the village from Easter to the end of October, where you can buy bread rolls (gladly on advance order), groceries etc. or just enjoy a tea/coffee in a cosy round with a "Klönsnack". You can reach the restaurant "Geilen's Kutscherkroog" on foot, distance 50m.

The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, there is a playground 50m away. The neighbour's chickens take a walk through the garden from time to time, but they probably only lay eggs in their own nests at home - we haven't found any yet! In Werdum (4km towards Esens) there is a pet park, a bakery and a baking house where children can bake bread or biscuits on special days. You can also use the Kneipp facility here or enjoy a tasty beer in the brewery. Werdum is easily accessible by bike, as is Carolinensiel. There you will find a seawater pool near the beach, many restaurants and cafes, and in bad weather the Sielhafen Museum invites you to visit it, which is also worthwhile in good weather! From Carolinensiel you can book a sailing course, go on sailing trips and sail to the island of Wangerooge. Perhaps you like brown bread baked in the old tradition without preservatives? Then drive to Middoge to the Schoof bakery, which has already been visited by the NDR. Take a stroll to Norden, Esens, Aurich or Moordorf to the Moor Museum. Leer also invites you to take a stroll, and the small old town is particularly recommended. The many small towns also invite you to take a detour, e.g. Ihlow with its monastery garden, Wiesmoor with its peat and settlement museum, Leer with its beautiful old town or Papenburg, where there is a fantastic ice cream opposite the church, a MUST for ice cream fans!

Pure idyll at a very fair price
I can highly recommend this holiday home to seniors or families with children. A spotless property with well-maintained furniture and a lavish equipment, everything in impeccable condition. The authentic property description of the listing is even positively surpassed in some aspects. Bicycles, Wi-Fi, telephone, parking space at the house, large-format TV, kitchen cabinets full of useful items, washing machine, terrace furniture, grilling equipment, children's books and games - everything has been thought of. The very friendly hostess is easily reachable by phone and responds to emails without delay. Within walking distance lives a couple responsible for care and can help if, contrary to expectations, technical support is needed. Altfunnixsiel scores with its absolutely quiet location away from the main road about 6 km south of Carolinensiel. The vacation home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a settlement that is exclusively built with single-family homes and vacation houses. A good local restaurant and a small village shop about 300 to 400 meters away from the house "ensure survival."

Vacation in East Frisia
We were allowed to spend our vacation from August 11 to August 20 in the Muschelstüvchen in Altfunnixsiel in East Frisia, and my wife, our granddaughter, and I really enjoyed it! We can only recommend the holiday home! The handling and organization by the landlord, Mrs. Rau, was excellent.

Summer vacation by bicycle
We found a very clean holiday cottage with everything you need. The beds were great. It's not far to the coast by bike, and you could take nice bike tours. The village is very quiet, only the dog across the street barked a bit too often.
Mrs. Rau is a very friendly and helpful landlord, and the welcome gift was a very nice gesture.
