Relaxing family vacation

We had a beautiful and clean holiday apartment, equipped with everything we needed. The shopping facility with a bakery was conveniently within walking distance. The small town of Esens with its good gastronomy and many shopping opportunities was very nice. The North Sea and the typical nature by the sea and inland are impressive and very relaxing. As a family, we could do a lot together in the area and saw and experienced interesting things. We felt very comfortable all around.

We had a nice time in East Frisia.

We were 2 couples and had a large, beautiful, and cozy furnished holiday apartment. We all really liked the beaches of Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel, but also the bathing lake in Tannenhausen. The bathing lake is a really great leisure facility and a good alternative when the North Sea is not around during the day. We had a lot of fun and saw many interesting destinations. Next year, we will knock again immediately and hope it works out again in "our" holiday apartment. Thank you very much

We found a clean, beautiful, and nicely decorated holiday apartment with friendly and uncomplicated landlords who always have great tips for different activities. We felt completely comfortable

We were warmly welcomed, well taken care of by the entire family from start to finish, and had a lot of fun together. After spending the whole day on the bicycle, coming home in the evening and being joyfully welcomed - what more could you want! Living together with our neighbors was also a pleasant experience. Great atmosphere

We were guests at the Höfner family for the first time and felt comfortable from the beginning! There is a quiet, friendly atmosphere in the house, to which our funny fellow vacationers in the apartment opposite also contributed. The view from the large balcony overlooks the garden onto the East Frisian meadows. In the evening, two hedgehogs said "good night" on the garden terrace. The location is wonderful for cycling tours, and the town of Esens is also quickly reachable by bike. We have immediately booked for next year and are very much looking forward to it. Rest and beautiful encounters are guaranteed. Thank you!

Toller Urlaub

Great and clean accommodation for a family of 4-5. Everything is available from a baby cot to a high chair. You can relax nicely, and the nearby North Sea is also highly recommended. If you don't know what to do, there is a guidebook in the accommodation where you will definitely find something. Even games were available.

The only downside was that our vacation ended way too quickly. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We will come back!

Completely satisfied all around - top!

Due to Corona, it was the North Sea instead of the Canary Islands this year. We were completely satisfied with our vacation rental, everything was fine, and we didn't miss anything. From booking to departure, everything went smoothly and quickly. A beautiful and varied environment with many offers for families. The town of Esens, the beach of Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel, or trips inland - we were always sufficiently occupied and enjoyed everything around us. We had a lovely cozy apartment and felt very comfortable all around. Esens is a beautiful little town with many opportunities for leisurely strolls, small cafes and ice cream parlors, and good restaurants for dining. We also enjoyed Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel with their maritime flair, and the visit to Langeoog Island was worthwhile. We can also recommend a fishing boat trip with sightseeing and a visit to the seal banks. We will come back because we haven't seen everything yet.

Spent a wonderful holiday at the North Sea.

We found a very beautiful vacation area, with many sights nearby and further away, all easily accessible by bike or car. We saw a lot and were able to enjoy the quieter spots in the typical nature. we can only recommend this vacation apartment as parents of 2 children. We were welcomed very warmly and immediately felt comfortable. It is spacious and in a quiet location. Esens is just a stone's throw away and the beaches are also easily accessible by car. The house has a beautiful well-kept garden, and Apartment C has a balcony with a beautiful view to enjoy. The inventory is practical, everything needed for cooking is available. A plus compared to other vacation homes is that bed linen is provided at no extra cost. It was clean, and we really enjoyed a great vacation. We will definitely come back.

The holiday apartment is very spacious and clean. It has a large kitchen-living room, a living room with a flat-screen TV, 3 bedrooms for up to 5 people, a large bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet, as well as a guest toilet. It also has a terrace with a table, 4 comfortable chairs, and a parasol. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and WiFi. This apartment also comes with a garage. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac directly on the East Frisian hiking trail. About 5 minutes' walk away is a supermarket. A beverage market and a bakery are also quickly accessible on foot. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the town center of Esens. If you drive, you can park for free in the central, large parking lot. In Esens, there is also a large playhouse for children, as well as at the beach portal in Bensersiel. It takes about 10 minutes by car to reach the beach in Bensersiel. The entire area is ideal for excursions, whether by bicycle or car.

Small and fine and authentic

For us as an active couple who wanted to explore East Frisia by bike, the small apartment under the roof of a small free family house was just right. Located in a normal residential street among East Frisians ;) (and not in a resort), good bike paths to the city center for shopping (which can also be easily reached on foot) and about 7km to the coast were just ideal for us. We could leave the car and experience the fresh wind of the North Sea well wrapped in warm clothing. The apartment itself has everything you need in a "small" space. A complete small kitchen where you can find everything to cook for yourself, a small sitting area for eating or reading. There would have been space for one child, but it would have been too tight for two.

Cosy little penthouse

The flat is cosy and well situated for excursions throughout East Frisia. It is functionally equipped. As we were there during the heatwave, it was very hot in the flat, but that is probably not usually a problem. The holiday in the flat in Mamburger Weg was very nice. The flat is very spacious and offers room for up to five people. It is equipped with everything you need. From the tea set to the microwave, everything is there. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac directly on the Ostfriesland hiking trail. From there you can explore the whole area on foot or by bike. Tips for excursions or good restaurants are available from the very nice landlords. A supermarket, where you can get everything you need for daily life, is about a five-minute walk away. All in all, you feel at home. We will be very happy to come back.

My husband and I spent a few very nice days in vacation apartment B in house 1. The apartment is small, but absolutely sufficient and well-equipped for 2-3 people. What particularly impressed us was the neatness and cleanliness of the apartment. Although the apartment is too far to walk from the center of Esens, the town center is easily accessible by bicycle and the East Frisia hiking trail is right outside the front door. Shopping facilities and a bicycle rental are within walking distance. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. Overall, highly recommended without any restrictions!

Spent a lovely week at the North Sea.

We spent a lovely week at the North Sea, taking walks on the beach and in the harbors, enjoying a rich gastronomic offer (got very good fish). The vacation apartment was very clean and cozily furnished. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and in the region of Esens, Bensersiel, Neuharlingersiel, Carolinensiel - so all around East Frisia.

Thank you very much, we have absolutely nothing to complain about. (Except for the mosquitoes, but that probably falls under force majeure. There are also insect screens in front of the windows...) :)
Very nice landlords, good location, and many interesting places nearby. The apartment is cozy and bright, one feels comfortable there and has all the options to "live right." The very large sunny balcony and the garden complete the whole experience. Happy to come back!

We stayed in apartment C, upper floor. The apartment was functional. Everything was fine. Quiet side street, with short distances for daily shopping. In a few minutes, we were in the city center. We could also store the bicycles in a shed. We would book this apartment again.

We stayed in holiday apartment C and were completely satisfied. It was fully furnished and cozy. There are plenty of activities in the area, and due to the central location of the apartment, all places in the vicinity can be reached quickly. Renting bicycles from the local rental service was also easily possible, with the service of bringing and picking them up. The bicycles could also be securely stored at the apartment in the designated bike shed. In the provided information folder, there were many helpful tips for all kinds of weather. There was a lot to discover in the area, and there are activities for every kind of weather. The day trip to the island of Spiekeroog was very enjoyable, and the boat trip with trawling and a visit to the seal banks was also interesting. A completely successful and relaxing vacation.

Very beautiful environment for a holiday in East Frisia on the North Sea. We felt completely comfortable - in the fully furnished apartment and also in the holiday region on site. Holiday apartment centrally located to all amenities.

We were very satisfied with the holiday apartment, you can quickly reach all beaches of Bensersiel, Neuharlingersiel, or Harlesiel (by car or sportingly also possible with a bicycle), as well as the ferry ports to the islands Langeoog, Spiekeroog, and Wangerooge. You can quickly reach sights in the surrounding area (Emden, Wilhelmshaven, Aurich, Norden-Norddeich, Greetsiel, etc.). We have not seen everything yet, our week was too short for that. Sun or rain - we were always busy enough, there is so much to explore in East Frisia.

Nice holiday apartment and good weather caught ;-)

We had a lovely apartment (Holiday Apartment D), also the opportunity to lock up our bicycles. With the bike, you are immediately on the right path in all directions - Eastern Friesland hiking trail to Bensersiel or to Werdum and Neuharlingersiel (green bicycle signs). We also often discovered the North Sea and when the tide was out, we went on an interesting mudflat walk. Esens is a beautiful town and offers many opportunities to stay or shop.

Hallo Familie Höfner

We had "our little" vacation apartment B again, a cozy and snug accommodation - as if made for us. By now, we arrive and immediately feel at home, unpack, and then head out on our bikes. Werdum Brewery or Bensersiel Beach are our favorite destinations. Going to Harlesiel for fish dinner is also a fixed ritual in our planning.

Beautiful holiday apartment in a beautiful environment.

Now we have been back home for a few weeks, but we would love to go on a trip again. A fresh breeze at the North Sea and pleasant temperatures for hiking and cycling would do us good right now :-) Unfortunately, the air in the "Ruhr area" is currently not that great :-( We have always been very satisfied with the apartments and have already booked again for October. We are already looking forward to East Frisia.

Relaxing vacation in a beautiful holiday apartment

Holiday apartment A of the Höfner family is wonderfully quiet and yet not isolated, directly on the Ostfriesland hiking trail. Just open the front door and the hiking or biking tour can begin. You don't need a car to get bread, as the Combimarkt is just around the corner. You can drive to the city center by car or take a short walk. Since Esens is very central in East Frisia, you can quickly reach Emden or Wilhelmshaven as well. The apartment itself is very spacious and nicely furnished, it has everything a holiday apartment needs. The apartment and the garden have always been clean and well-maintained when we arrive, and this has been the case for ten years and hopefully many more to come. The whole Hofner family is very nice and has truly grown dear to us.

Lovely holiday apartment at the North Sea

We didn't miss anything, had a nice cozy vacation rental in Esens. We enjoyed the quiet East Frisian natural landscape, away from the tourists, and did a lot of hiking. Our bike ride from Bensersiel to Neuharlingersiel along the dike during high tide, among the sheep, was particularly beautiful. On the way back during low tide, there was a completely different scenery again. Pure nature. We especially liked the abundant and varied seafood offerings on the coast.
