Description
Surrounded by fields and woods to the north and south, the Benser Tief and a renaturalised moor only a few metres away, about 4 km from the gates of Esens , in a rural and quiet but not secluded location, you will find spacious lawns and a lush, species-rich stock of trees on a 12,000 sqm enclosed property (at least in summer) next to a pond that invites you to boat trips and contemplative lingering.
Sports and play facilities include a trampoline, a climbing frame with swings and slide, a table tennis table and two inflatable boats. In addition, all kinds of garden furniture, a beach chair and barbecue bowls are available.
Important not only for dog owners: there are no barriers within the property boundaries.
The North Sea, including the beach and coastal bathing resort of Bensersiel, is about nine km away (approx. 35 min. by bike, approx. 15 min. by car), and it is about 15 km to Neuharlingersiel. Carolinensiel, Jever, Dornum, the Ewige Meer (the largest high moor lake in the country) , Aurich (with the large bathing lake Tannenhausen, which also offers water skiing and wakeboarding) and other sights are also within a short distance. There are ferry connections to the islands of Langeoog, Spiekeroog and Wangerooge from the nearby harbours.
Cycling and hiking paths lead directly from the house to two wooded areas, and along the Benser Tief you can reach Bensersiel. On the outskirts of Esens, there are good shopping facilities and a bicycle rental, and for horse riding enthusiasts, there is a nearby horse farm offering many possibilities.
The small farm building was extended by an annexe in earlier years and now offers ground floor living on about 148 sqm with two full bathrooms (i.e. bath, shower, washbasin, WC, washing machine. A tumble dryer is located in the utility room), a guest WC and two fitted kitchens. Three bedrooms, one with a double bed plus a cot, another also with a double bed and smaller one with two single beds can accommodate up to six adults and a toddler.
In the living rooms, there is a selection of board games and entertaining literature. The smart TVs receive television programmes via satellite.
The house is a non-smoking house, smoking is allowed outside the premises.
The grounds offer parking space for several and large vehicles, one car parking space is covered. Charging e-cars with house electricity is not part of a rental contract.
The price for an overnight stay is 130 €. This includes consumption costs, final cleaning and WLAN.
Dogs and cats (up to two) are welcome for a one-time fee of € 30. Other pets on request.
A linen set, consisting of bedding, hand and shower towel, can be added for 8 €.
The living space can also be divided into two units, each with its own entrance and approx. 90 and 58 sqm respectively, by closing the two doors of the utility room to the old building and the annex.

Location and surroundings of object
The municipality of Moorweg with about 800 inhabitants is located southwest of Esens and is rural in character, situated between Schooer and Schafhauser Wald. The Benser Tief is only 200 m away, behind it is the Ochsenweide, a renaturalised moorland.
There is a bus stop directly in front of the house. The bus traffic is not disturbing.

The pond and high stand are freely accessible. Use at your own risk. Please take care when holidaying with children not to let them go without supervision or caution.
Arrival is possible at any time of the day. On the day of departure, the property must be vacated by 12 noon.
Despite the proximity to the North Sea resort of Esens-Bensersiel, there is no spa tax.

Anytime, gladly again.
We were now for the umpteenth time in the holiday home by the pond and felt as comfortable as possible again.
The peace, the location by the forest and the pond provides pure relaxation.
The house's amenities leave nothing to be desired. There is nothing missing.
Our dog could always let off steam.
Walks from the house are possible in many ways.
We can recommend the house without any restrictions.

Beautiful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation this year (2025) in this holiday home. We were on site with 4 adults and 3 children, and we also brought our Labrador along.
The holiday home has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Everything is available, and there is plenty of space to spend relaxed time even on rainy days. The large property and the pond are wonderful for the dog. The children also enjoyed being able to move freely, having plenty of space, and just letting off steam.
The contact with the landlord is very, very friendly, and everything could be arranged easily.
Upon arrival, everything was clean and well-maintained, and one felt comfortable right away.
We have already planned the next vacation and are looking forward to it.
The holiday home can be recommended 100%.

Super beautiful holiday home
We spent a week in Moorweg and felt very comfortable. The communication beforehand was already exceptionally friendly. The house was very clean, lovingly furnished, very cozy, and left nothing to be desired. The garden was fantastic!!! Our dogs had so much space to play and run. Everything is beautifully designed, and there was something to discover at every corner. Many lovely seating areas to enjoy the wonderful property. We are so thrilled and will come back.

Easter vacation 2024
The holiday home and the property are absolutely top. The house is large, very well equipped and located in a quiet, beautiful natural setting. We would take the house with the great property again at any time. The descriptions of the house and the property are 100% accurate.
We have rented many holiday homes and apartments before, but this is by far the best.
