The Villa Celta is a truly magical place ... Perched like a castle on the top of the "Cerro do Cardal" - a towering hill 6km north of Tavira - you can almost see the Celts (Celta) as they do 3000 years ago from this mountain observed the environment. In every direction there is another spectacular view. In the north, the expanse of the "Serra" and in the south of the boundless Atlantic Ocean, where you can overlook about 50 kilometers of coast from east to west. Sunrise, sunset, fantastic star nights ... although it hardly needs anymore, the Villa Celta also offers many more amenities ...
The living area is on the first floor of the villa built in 2003. From the half-round living room with dining table lead 3 large patio doors to the outside and let generous light and air in the room. The open rustic kitchen adjoins the living room. Under the granite fall of the ruin that once stood there is a modern stove with gas and electric plates and a circulating air electric furnace. A large fridge, a small dishwasher and an unforgettable view of the kitchen work leaves nothing to be desired. The first floor also houses a small office, a guest bathroom with shower and two covered terraces.
Three bedrooms and a large bathroom with corner bath and shower are located on the ground floor. For a group up to 8 could be additional rented the attic: one bedroom, a small living room and another bathroom with a shower, toilette and basin. These rooms can be reached via the top roof terrace, from which one also enjoys a charming view.
All rooms of Villa Celta are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets. For the cold season is also a stove in the living room available. Internet access, international TV, washing machine, garage, electric gate and a brick barbecue with outdoor sink complete the high level of comfort. Not forgetting the meter saltwater pool with a depth of up to meters. The large dolphin shower right next to the pool also provides refreshment! Free from neighbors views, there are a variety of seats and moorings on the property and of course, this unforgettable view again and again.
Anyone who spends time at Villa Celta sometimes feels like the rest of the world has stopped. It's amazing that you can find yourself in the bustling heart of Tavira after just 10 minutes if needed. Life in this historic city is particularly vibrant during the summer months. Then there are cultural events and markets and the streets are full of life. In the other months, everything is a bit more leisurely, but even then there are numerous romantic streets, churches, museums, shops and restaurants to discover ...

Fantastic house in a unique location
We felt very comfortable in Villa Celta. The house is equipped with everything you need and was very clean. The 360 degree view is overwhelming, we also enjoyed the pool with lightly salted water (no chlorine) very much. Very nice contact with the Röver family, perfect service.
Only minus point: steep stairs from the sleeping to the living area (difficult for people with limited mobility).

A paradise on the ridge
On the top of a mountain stands this absolutely gorgeous holiday home. The panoramic view is fantastic, the nearest neighbours are far away. You have the feeling that you are alone in this world. So you can let your soul dangle and relax. Everything you need is there. The relaxation is absolute.

Gorgeous house with amazing views
Loved, loved, loved this house, wish it were mine! It's a quiet, rural location but within easy reach of everything. The management is excellent and very helpful. I've already booked to go back.

Beautiful autumn days
Bright house with super distant views and very nice furnishings/equipment. The icing on the cake would be a sunshade on the side of the house by the pool, as this is the wind-protected location (probably especially in autumn/winter/spring), but without a sunshade it gets too hot. Many thanks also for the perfect organisation by the Röver family.

Paradise in the Eastern Algarve
The highlight of this accommodation is definitely the great view. You can see for miles in all directions, the sea, the landscape, simply fantastic.
But also the house and the garden leave nothing to be desired. If you want to relax and just enjoy the sun, the peace and the wind, Villa Celta is the right place for you.

Eindrucksvoll
Die Villa Celta ist ein sehr schönes, ungewöhnliches Haus, wunderbar gelegen, ganz oben auf einem Hügel. Der Blick reicht weit ins Hinterland und bietet schöne Sicht aufs Meer. Das Haus selbst ist gut ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Die Küchenausstattung ist ebenfalls reichlich mit Töpfen, Tellern und Besteck und allen möglichen Utensilien bestückt. Heidi hat extra noch die Messer geschliffen. Das Highlight ist neben dem Pool, die große Gartenanlage mit Wegen, Sitzplätzen, Grillplatz, alles sehr attraktiv. Eigentlich möchte man nie wieder weg, aber Tavira und ein paar nette Orte wie Santa Luzia, Cacela Velha, Fabrica locken einen dann doch für ein paar Ausflüge. Auch die Markthallen von Fuseta sind ein Muss, die besten Fische zum Spottpreis und eine ganze Halle mit Obst und Gemüse.
Mit dem Wetter hatten wir wirklich Glück, 2 Wochen Sonne im März ist nicht immer normal. Trotzdem war uns der Pool mit 16 Grad noch zu frisch und abends der schöne Ofen mit Holz geheizt, war durchaus angenehm. Vielen Dank auch an Heidi und Sven für die gute Betreuung.

Erholung - Auszeit - Top Lage - Aussicht
Sehr schönes, geräumiges Ferienhaus in Alleinlage zur puren Erholung. Es fehlt an nichts und der Kontakt zu den Verwaltern ist unkompliziert und serviceorientiert.
Der Sternenhimmel am Abend inklusive Sternschnuppen ist unvergesslich.

Villa Celta is everything the publicity brochures promise, with excellent in house and outdoor facilities for all ages. With 360 degree panoramic views all around the villa,sheltered and quiet areas in the gardens, a large pool, outdoor dining and BBQ facilities, it is ideal for an 'away from it all' peaceful holiday. Tavira, 7km away, offers good food shopping and eating out facilities, and there are a number of sandy beaches within 10 - 25km of it's gated mountain top location. You will need transport.
If you have a mixed sex/ages family/group you need to consider how they can be accommodated between double/twin rooms. The only reason we withheld a 'star' above, is because at most times during our stay, there were no sheltered sitting areas around the pool. We would definitely stay here again.
