Description
Casa Monte Cabeça is a luxurious holiday home styled as a traditional Algarve farmhouse. With fine sensibility, the Portuguese architectural style has been harmonized with the use of time-honored materials and the contemporary demands of a house in Southern Europe. Tasteful furniture, colorful fabrics, and selected accessories provide charming accents inside. The jewel, with its 17,500 m² of land, is located in a region widely used for agriculture, with small fruit and vegetable plantations, just a few kilometers from the lively town of Moncarapacho. Casa Monte Cabeça sits on a slight hilltop, offering a fantastic 360° panoramic view, particularly enjoyable from the huge rooftop terrace. To the north dominates a wide valley at whose end the first hills of the Serra rise. Looking south, the view sweeps over the evergreen coastal region and on the horizon, the vast Atlantic shines enticingly. Between them lies the Ria Formosa nature reserve, a large lagoon that is home to rare flora and fauna. The offshore islands with their magnificent sandy beaches are only 7-9 kilometers away from the holiday home. From Fuseta, ferries regularly travel to the island during the summer half of the year, and behind Luz de Tavira, Barril Beach can be accessed all year round via a floating bridge on foot or by a small train.
The very generously sized country house offers its guests a lot of comfort inside. Each of the three bedrooms has a large French bed, wall closets, and air conditioning (consumption is charged extra). Each room provides direct access to one of the many terraces. From all the rooms of the house, one enjoys the view into the lush greenery. Wooden shutters on all windows ensure a pleasant room temperature in the summer. Two tastefully tiled bathrooms are available for guests, one of which is en suite in the master bedroom.
Through the large hallway, one enters the living area, which is divided into a kitchen-living room and a living room. The two rooms can be separated from each other by a sliding glass door. The well-equipped kitchen has enough space and comfort to cater to a family of six. A dining table is located in the kitchen, and another one in the living room. The living area impresses with its high ceiling adorned with reed as well as the large windows facing three cardinal directions. From the comfortable leather couch, one can choose to enjoy the view of the romantically blazing wood stove, out to the splendid garden, or onto the large screen of the television. Around the house, there are broad, tiled, and partly covered terraces which offer sun or shade at any time of the day. They are lined with fragrant herbs, flowering bushes, palms, and bird of paradise flowers. In between, you can see the Atlantic sparkling. Paths lead past the refreshing outdoor shower across the large property with its typical trees. Thanks to the idyllically quiet location of the house, this is the ideal place to recharge and recover from the strains of everyday life.

Casa Monte Cabeça is located on a hill on the border between the districts of Olhão and Tavira. Both cities can be reached by car in 15 minutes. There are also shops and restaurants in the only 5 minutes away Ortem Moncarapacho and Fuseta. From Fuseta, the ferry also goes to the Atlantic Islands.

Pure relaxation
We spent 3 quiet and very relaxing weeks at Case Monte Cabeca.
The house is perfectly equipped and very clean, you feel very comfortable right away.
From the rooftop terrace, you have a fantastic view of the coast and the hinterland.
By car, you can reach Fuseta in a few minutes and take the ferry to the offshore island.

Beautiful house

Very nice and comfortable house in the green
We felt very comfortable in this holiday home from the very first moment. The house is in a quiet location and the nearby town of Fuseta or Moncarapacho could be reached quickly in a few minutes by car. It is surrounded by green hills.
The house was equipped with everything you are used to at home. The landlord couple Röver were very helpful and nice. We will be happy to come back.

Super house to feel good and relax in the middle of nature with a view of the sea.
We spent four wonderful weeks at Casa Monte Cabeza with our Hovawart dog and both humans and animals enjoyed it to the fullest. The house on the hill impresses with its spaciousness and the all-round terrace, which you can enter through every room. There is always a sunny and a shady spot to be found. We didn't use the huge roof terrace that much in November, but it is certainly a huge asset in summer. Inside and outside the property, as well as on the beach, we could go for walks with our dog. We fell in love with the nearby fishing village of Fuseta, the various praias and the small town of Moncarapacho, so we will be back!!!!

Autumn at Casa Monte Cabeça - highly recommended
We decided on a short-term vacation in the fall of 2021 on the Algarve and booked Casa Monte Cabeça.
Casa Monte Cabeça perches on a hill and offers a wonderful view of the coast and the hinterland from the rooftop terrace. The house is perfectly equipped and very stylishly furnished. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by Jens Röver and provided with all relevant information. The Algarve spoiled us with pleasant temperatures, deserted beaches, and the usual Portuguese hospitality.
Conclusion: The accommodation is highly recommended! The same goes for the autumnal Algarve!
