Arrive and feel really comfortable!
Our cosy, ground-level holiday home 'Woodland Lodge' with panoramic views offers plenty of space for up to 4 people on 65m² of living space and 650m² of garden in a sunny hillside location. Dogs are welcome. The main property is completely fenced (approx. 1.10 m) and two dog baskets as well as feeding corner with bowls are available.
"Woodland Lodge" is a non-smoking bungalow style cottage. The holiday home is located in the heath village of the climatic health resort Winterberg-Niedersfeld.
It has:
- two bedrooms (SZ 1: double bed king size; SZ 2: double bed and large built-in loft bed)
- a cosy living room with flat screen TV and DVD as well as a fireplace for cosy winter evenings
- a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, coffee maker, ceramic stove top, microwave,
- an adjoining dining room with passage to the kitchen
- a bathroom with modern shower and washing machine
- a storage room with safe and space for suitcases and additional groceries
- a winter garden with wicker table and chairs
- a fenced terrace with garden furniture and electric awning
- all rooms have infrared and underfloor heating
You can safely store your car, motorbike and/or mountain bike in the adjacent garage with electric gate
For the little guests there is a cot and a high chair available.
In a few minutes walk there is a public playground to romp around. In the house there are games, painting materials and books for the young and young at heart
There are many sports activities available in all seasons. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and mountain biking or for leisurely walks with your four-legged friend. Our house is located directly at bicycle and hiking trails. The Niedersfelder Hochheide is only a few kilometres away. Water skiing, swimming, fishing and much more you can do at the Hillebachsee - about 2 km away in Niedersfeld.
Downhill skiing and cross-country skiing are also possible here, as there are various skiing possibilities directly on site, but also in the immediate vicinity. In addition to the cross-country skiing tracks of the Hochheide, there are downhill runs in the skiing area Niedersfeld-Eschenberg, in the skiing area Hildfeld, at the ski slope at the Ruhrquelle and in Winterberg. Snowboarders and freeskiers will find a fun park with boadercross next to the Eschenberg lift.
In Winterberg-Niedersfeld there are shopping facilities, banks and a bakery with café. Supermarkets, shopping and nightlife can be found in Winterberg - approx. 7 km away.

Woodland Lodge is situated in a quiet location in the heath village of Winterberg-Niederfeld
Winterberg-Niedersfeld, the first village on the young Ruhr, is very popular with hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. It is situated in a wide valley surrounded by colourful meadow slopes and mixed forests in the middle of nature parks
From your holiday home you can hike directly to the source of the Ruhr or to the largest high alpine meadow in Germany. A hike through this nature reserve at an altitude of over 800m is an experience at any time of year. Many wonderful hiking trails, such as the Golden Path and the Rothaarsteig, also lead through the middle of the fascinating Niedersfelder Hochheide
The Hillebachsee lake with water sports facilities is located in Niedersfeld. The new Ruhr Valley Cycle Path also runs through the village, covering 220 km from the source to the mouth of the river. Kneipp fans will get their money's worth thanks to a generously laid out Kneipp treading pool facility.
In winter you can reach several ski lifts, fantastic cross-country skiing trails and rustic ApresSki huts. With 5 ski areas and 30 cross-country ski trails, Winterberg has the largest winter sports offer north of the Alps!
There are plenty of excursion destinations in the area: Kahler Asten, bobsleigh and toboggan run, go-kart tracks, summer toboggan run, bike park, panorama adventure bridge, climbing garden, high ropes course, ice rink, Fort Fun amusement park and much more.

Cosy holiday home directly by the forest
Fully equipped holiday home ideal for families or individuals with dogs. Beautiful property on a slope with a fenced garden. Very nice service by the neighbouring family.

The surroundings are quiet, walks are possible right outside the front door, the Hillebach lake is ideal for our dog.

Fantastisch
5 Sterne sind zu wenig für diese Unterkunft. Es fehlt an nichts, nach einer freundliche Einweisung kann der Urlaub beginnen. Ob grillen auf der gemütlichen Terrasse oder wandern in der Natur. Auch im Haus feht es an nix. Sehr ruhige Lage
und Erholung pur. Können wir nur weiter empfehen.

Alles, was man braucht
Nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung und freundlichen Einweisung mit Welcome Goodie für Mensch und Tier genossen wir eine entspannte Woche in der Woodland Lodge, wo es an NICHTS fehlte, was man in einem Ferienhaus benötigt, wirklich an ALLES -und mehr-war gedacht.
Uns tat die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit des hoch gelegenen Heidedorfes gut, zumal in 5 Autominuten ein Bäcker, eine Bauernscheune, ein Imbiss und ein Minilädchen für die Grundversorgung zu erreichen waren. Auch konnte man viele Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus starten bzw nach einer kurzen Autofahrt, Wanderkarten u -vorschläge waren im Haus ausreichend vorhanden.
